When y’all ship swords you should put it in the sheath or put a hard plastic cap on the point, my sword’s point was damaged slightly by impact but I filled it out.
Decently sharp right out of the box. We spent a day swinging it at cutting targets, handle is still on fine didn't loosen up at all. No nicks on the blade. Really happy with it.
Quality issue: Katana scabbard had dents on the bottom like it was dropped or something was hit against it. It was a gift for my son, so there is reluctance to return it. Blade is NOT balanced and HUGE, this is a sword for someone who is 7ft tall.
An enormous blade when you are actually holding it, it is surprisingly balanced, with surgical grade sharpness, Full Tang, the O Katana is truelly breathtaking, and terrifying. I've never been so certain a blade would annihilate any flesh it came into contact with. I would have payed more. Cold Steel, I formally request a Naginata. I own a Dragonfly Katana as well, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect Iaido Katana, it was exactly what i had been searching for. The O Katana is truelly a blade meant for beserkers and warlords.

I love it so much. People ask why I spent money on a sword but I mean every time I think about owning one it makes me smile so what better reason than that? The blade is great and sharp. I ran around cutting stuff outside when I first got it. The hilt is also so pretty and I love the little gold lions!
