disclaimer, I just got this the other day and haven’t had a real chance to take it out and use it but I did say impressive… I am a 5 foot 10, heads more than big enough for me, feels really good in the hand and is solid and as a really good feeling weight to it
Nice product but the thorns were too pronounced. I took some off with a hatchet then wrapped it in tape.

Love the staff. Seriously built. A walking staff that can defend the pack.
Its a great walking staff, I Love it! I would suggest coldsteel products to everyone.
I've used for years the Irish Blackthorn Walking Stick when hiking, but on the step-ups and step-downs when traversing wet, rocky terrain, sometimes found the reach a little short while using it to assure my footing. Not so with the Blackthorn Staff! I'm 5'7" and this is the perfect reach for me! Also, knowing the thing is darn near indestructible means I'm not afraid to put as much weight or force behind it it as I need to.
Blackthorn Staff is tough and should last several life times.
Sharp plastic cut on the ball on top. Otherwise perfect for walking through marsh and swamp and breaking small branches that might be in the way.
Love this thing. Wanted the perfect walking stick and here it is. Heavy, solid, and mean.
This is the One I have been waiting for,yes the nubs are more pointy,awesome, added a leather wrap just below the ball for xtra grip. makes going up stairs and such easier because I am pulling myself up instead of pushing up. I am 6ft4 so this was an easy choice
I looked around, for a long time for the perfect walking pole. I found it in this pole. I weigh 300 lbs and this pole handles it well. It is fun to have such an iconic walking pole. Some people actually know what it is.. Thanks for my perfect walking pole. Dwight
