I've gone through two Gen 1 UBR stocks before purchasing four Gen 2 stocks. The Gen 2 is easier to install but I learned the hard way not to discard the tools. I love the UBR stocks for the consistent cheek weld and the extra (not much) weight that helps balance the rifle for one handed use. I just replaced a CTR on an SBR which had more adjustability and was about an inch shorter but I found the rock solid lock up and weight was a great balance for the rifle.
I ordered the stealth grey stock and it is A LOT darker than the picture in the add, it is like a light black. I have a few of these stocks and like them, but I wanted a lighter color for a build. I will keep the stock, but it looks like crap. I gave it 2 stars because they are good stocks and deducted stars because of looks.

Amazing item, this is my 2nd one. Highly recommend. Sturdy, solid. Heavier than other items but worth it
I have 2 first generation UBRs so I’m going to say that this is my favorite MAGPUL buttstock.
It was easier than the GEN1 to install. Faster, too. Just be sure to have the right tools.

Seriously though, needs better cheek weld option(s) for this Magpul UBR gen 2 in a real BAD way... and maybe a little bit of a spacer or something for making it into shade longer overall length...
I've had a UBR stock for quite some time and recently got a UBR Gen 2 for a new build. Its a collapsible stock with the stability of a fixed stock. The original had a feature that limits the extension length but can be overridden to go to full extension. I was a little disappointed that the Gen 2 doesn't have that feature. I guess the weight savings had to come from somewhere. The attached image is a new .308 build. (The carry handle on top is just there to hold the handguard steady until the new barrel is finished.)
Overall great stock little in the pricy side but good quality easy to instal.
