Beautiful Craftsmanship. Smooth and Easy Cocking. Accurate out of the box.

I would not change anything.

Became my favorite Break barrel immediately.

Having shot a cheaper and lesser brand airgun for years, I was hesitant to spend the money on this Beeman R9. I quickly got over it with the first five rounds fired from this clearly superior airgun: all bullseyes. The Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 SFP BDC scope is an excellent pairing with this airgun. Also, the 20 for $20 service (mounting and sighting) is a great investment. Hats off to my customer/technical service rep, Doug. Beeman’s reputation notwithstanding, Doug’s expertise and prompt attention to my questions were key drivers in my decision to make this purchase.

The trigger safety. Must be fired to reset the safety to safe?

Heavy, but extremely accurate right out of the case. I am confident this accuracy will continue for years to come. The lifetime warranty on the B9 is also a huge plus potential buyers should not overlook. Lastly, buy the airgun and optics you can afford. Don’t cut corners. I wish I had made this purchase years ago.

Everything! The quality the finish are all top notch! Feels like the real deal meaning like I nice quality rimfire. Only 50 pellets in two rabbits down. Super accurate once dialed in. Put a nice leepers bug buster on mine.

An absolutely gorgeous air gun. Fit and finish is terrific. Coming from big box store style pellet guns thus is just a whole other level of quality and accuracy. Within 10 rounds I was able to put 1/2" groups at 25 yards. Im confident that will only improve over time and practice. Its actually quieter than my previous break barrel crossman which was "reviewed" as being one of the quietest break barrels on the market. This air gun produces a much more subtle thud versus the high pitched "clack" of the crossman. Needless to say the accuracy was better too, like 4x-5x better using the same pellets. Haven't chronographed it yet but it was strong enough to punch right thru 1/2" thick cedar at 25 yards. Already has two squirrels at 27 and 30 yards with the 7.6gr H&N terminator which has shot wonderfully so far. I really don't know what I'd improve about this air gun, I wish I had bought it sooner.

If there was any way to shave some ounces off I wouldn't complain but in no way would I trade that for any of the other amazing features. Its really great just yhe way it us and the weight makes it feel very stable.

Its a lot to bite off for an air gun, at least for me it is, but it is absolutely worth it. Just do it.

Fit and finish top quality zero plastic I ordered a refurb in 22cal the gun was brand new minus 1 tiny nick in the foregrip and shoots so nice no twang no buzz right out of the box and after 500 rounds threw it the accuracy has blown away for a springer 2 best pellets out of the dozen or so I tryed were the h&n field target trophy 14.66g in 5.55mm head sizing at and average of 705fps and 16fpe and the h&n baracuda hunter 18.21gr at an average of 630fps at 16fpe all my testing was done at 50 yards and consistently with those 2 pellets are less than 3/4 at 50 yards will post pics of groups

Light weight, Easy to Cock, Accurate, Love the open sights, The trigger is amazing, Looks and feels like a real firearm, Very well made. I was able to hold a good group at 25yards with this gun with no problem.

The dove tail rail on this rifle? I like the scope rail system that came on my Diana 460mag better.

I gave this rifle 5 stars even though I am not a fan of the dove tail rail on this rifle. Overall I am very satisfied with my decision to own the R9 in .177. "I see a .22 R9 in my future."

Add gold insert to front sight , which I did shows up a lot better cause sight has hood. see jdcap26 on Y.T for info on that . It is back yard friendly not loud.

Tighten all screws and clean barrel before using it

Very high quality construction, you can tell it was built to last by people who care about workmanship. Quite accurate out of the box, just a couple clicks on the fixed site elevation and I was hitting tight groups at 20 yards.

Likely add optics at some point but for now it’s been really fun just to plink in the back yard. Noise level is neighbor friendly, just the spring twang and the sound of hitting metal targets.

Quality. The R9 (I also own an R7) is a joy to shoot. No cheap plastic. The rifle is not pellet picky. I also like Pyramyd Air's 10 for 10 (20 for 20 on a scoped rifle). It's worth knowing that the rifle is performing as it should before it arrives. Plus you you have the chronograph print out.

A better owner's manual. And a fiber optic front and rear sight would be a nice option. Perhaps a bit more greese on the main spring. It does have a bit of a twang.

If you take the rifle off safety, to put the safety back on you must re-cock the rifle. The rear sight has 4 different apertures. To change to a different one, you pull out on it (it's spring loaded) and rotate it to the shape you want. It's easier to do this if you pull the barrel down a bit.
The owner's manual is bare bones and does not mention any of this.
Be patient when it's new. It may take awhile to set down and start grouping. The "Artillery" hold is a must. And clean the barrel before you start shooting.
I already had an R9 & R7 that came with the Mantis scopes. They are great scopes. But I got this one for my brother. He prefers open sights. He's been having a lot of trouble with one of those plastic "big box store" rifles for years. He now knows he should have spent the extra money on a quality rifle like the R9.
If properly maintained and cared for, this rifle will be around for the grandkids to enjoy.
