Operation ease, accuracy.

The lever is plastic with a seam in the center, which scratches the fingers while cocking, but a little sanding fixes that. The magazine manufacturing tolerance is too big, so magazines can be hard to insert (sanding again) or loose enough to shift while cocking (stretched electrical tape is your friend here). It's loud, and the suppressor is pinned in, so aftermarket suppressors won't fit (I had to design and 3D print a better one). I would have liked to see metal picatinny rails, which wouldn't flex as much, and place for the sling.All in all, it's nice and pretty accurate works well with a little adjustment, and fun to shoot.

It's accurate with the factory sights and quiet enough it doesn't need a moderator to be back yard friendly...

For the price it's powerful accurate and quiet. It's a great starter gun and I bought it after already owning over 20 air rifles of all denomination PCP, CO2, springer, gas piston. The lever action cocking brings quick follow up shots and the trigger is light yet crisp. Out of the box the ease of use is amazing and Hatsan and I have a rocky history but they definitely got this one right.

Nope, this is my second Vectis.

Shot great while it lasted. A real tack driver out to 50 yards. Fast & short throw lever action.

The styling is atrocious lol. The magazines never worked right from day 1 without jamming a toothpick between the mag & barrel block to help lock them into place. The gun started leaking slowly at 6 months. Now 1 year later it will not hold air at all. Last time I tried to shoot it, I thought my compressor had died. No, my little Diana pcp pistol charged up just fine. I have less than 1 tin of pellets thru this POS. 3 trips to the range. I don't get to shoot much. You expect things to work when you do get the chance. Very disappointed with this gun. Your milage may vary.

This is a great gun for the money, and a blast to shoot. I have flashpups that I love to shoot, and this gun is even better with the lever action. With a small trigger adjustment and a bit of tuning, this gun is rocking 900 fps with 28 gr heavies with 1" grouping at 70 yrds. It's a pest destroyer with my atn thermal scope.

Maybe make a bullpup version... and take the blocky moderator (?) off, doesnt seem to moderate much anyway.

Get the .25 cal for serious pesting, opossum, trash pandas, feral cats, I've even killed coyotes out to 50-60 yrds.

It's lightweight feeling and the underlever cocking is sweet and smooth very fun for quick follow-up shots.

I would have made the moderator system actually moderate some type of sound and I would have made it have a little bigger air cylinder so it could have had a more shots.

It's kind of loud it doesn't get a lot of shots and I left this to the last of the review to say that the one I received had a bad barrel or something cuz....... it was very inaccurate but I believe that was just the the one I got..... I did send it back and get a refund ....but the time I did have it I did like it and since then a friend of mine has gotten another one that is accurate and it's a fun gun.

What I like about the vectis .25 cal is the short throw under lever for quick fallow up shots.

Make the vectis lighter an get rid of the all the plastic.

hatsan vectis .25 get the job done target practice and hunting squirrels&rabbits.

Very quiet and plenty of power to deal with the squirrels that have invaded our garden. Also great for plinking with polymer targets around the house. Lots of shots on a charge (at least ~40) and not too awful to pump up with a manual pump.

No way to unload without shooting a chambered pellet. No way to know if a pellet is chambered without opening action, which allows the next pellet to index in the magazine, meaning you will now double feed that pellet or need to remove the magazine before closing the action. This makes it less than ideal for pest control. Sights are very visible but very large and not ideal for precision work. Will likely be adding a scope.

I bought this rifle for the lever action and iron sights, wanting something simple and effective for pest control with fast follow up shots. It fits the bill for this type of work, although the sights are a bit large for humane shots at a distance and the chambered-round issue discussed above is a bit frustrating. I was also curious if it had the power to cause a sufficient reaction with a color changing polymer target. The power and color change response are on par with a .22 LR, so definitely a success there.
