Well Umarex does it again! This pistol is very nice. I recently got the Colt SSA from PA I was so impressed with results with pellets 1.5 group at 10 meters. I went for the Smith Also. Both use same shells. I went ahead got extra pellet shells for both. On the one I received the dark black/blue finish is excellent for a pistol in this price range. Action tight and great trigger. Adjustable rear sights a real plus!! Shoots pellets much better with H&N Sports the best so far with 1.0 group rested from 10 meters. No fliers. Black diamond BBs about 2 to-3 group. I am impressed with how well a smooth bore can shoot pellets. Does not shoot pellets in the 4.51-4.52 mm range very well. Groups open up. So I stick with standard 4.50mm. Down here in Florida its hot with chance of hotter. So indoor shooting back on track again. Getting about 60 accurate shoots per Co2 then starts shooting low. Outside no beer can is safe at 30 feet "They make my day".
Wish it was 6 inch barrel. Grips plastic but wood grips would be expensive. For excelent smith wood grips I have paid over $100 for my S&W Mod 19s. So got to live with these.
Clean Barrel good first. Oil it down in front of hammer and any other moving parts. Makes finish pop. Grab up all the pellet shells you can afford you will need them. First day with pistol too much fun. If you shoot the real S&W revolvers this is Definitely the next best thing. Great trigger time and so much cheeper.
Come on man whats not to like
Nota
Make your day lol
This is without a doubt the most accurately duplicated replica airgun Umarex has made as of yet. The only real noticeable discrepancies that I have found so far is that the barrel trades are on the wrong sides and should be reversed from what they are, and the grips would have been nice if they had been real wood grips. However, with that said. The gun is like holding the real gun. The look and feel of the gun is better than any of my replica revolvers yet, and do to the length of the barrel it is fairly accurate for a BB gun. I do have one big beef with this gun though, and that is the guns finish. It's no where close to a black finish at all. It's more of a gray finish like the Dan Wesson 715 has, only not as dark. Personally, I would have rather seen the gun in a blued color like the Colt Peacemaker had at one time, or a silver or chrome finish. It is what it is though and it's still a great replica of the M29 that I have now added to my replica collection.
What I would have changed? The finish of the gun for sure. The gun is far too nice not to have a truer finish on the gun. The grips would have been much nicer if they would have been real wood, and I definitely would swap sides with the gun barrel trades. Last, a pellet version as an option or just made the gun a pellet gun. It amazes me that Umarex doesn't use anodizing as an option to color their guns to give them a longer lasting and truer color, and why can't they offer the option to have real wood grips. As a replica collector I'd gladly pay extra for that option as I have foregone the cost to put real grips on all my replica .45's and the wood options for my rifles. No real collector wants to have plastic or resin parts on their replica's unless it's a part of the gun as is in a real gun such as the lower half of the Glock.
As for anything else. Well, I think I just about covered everything except for maybe the bullets which are a nice edition due to the fact that you can load them from the rear eliminating the need to remove them each time you need to reload them with a BB. They are the same shells as used in the Legends Cowboy lever action rifle. So if you have one it will give you 10 extra shells that you can use. I only wish Umarex would make updated shell replacements for the BB guns that used front loading shells. Also, if you use pellets in this gun be careful because it may not shoot some of them and get stuck in the shell or the barrel. The last thing I failed to mention are the sights. Fairly standard as in the Colt Python and the Dan Wesson 715. The only exception is that the M29 front sight is notched out and has an orange piece of plastic that is suppose to represent the acrylic sight on the real M29. It is a very nice touch and gives the gun a more authentic look. Kudos to Umarex, nice gun.
Overall a good solid gun. Fun to shoot. I was accurate to 15 ft.
Wish it had more windage adjustment. Would be able to have more accuracy at further distance
What can I say except , its a fun gun Get get more shells lol
Grips need more meat to them.
Got a really great price !
VERY NICE

The finish , the attention to Acuracy of the real thing. For overall appearance. Its well executed.
Having owned many of the real weapon, I would say lower that rear sight( to tall) white outline it, if possible. Use standard screws, not Phillips on the side plate and offer real wood grips as a option
I have the 5 inch on order. Wish they could give us a 61/2 inch barrel, but not a deal breaker. If you want something thats real weight and looks at a good price, then this is it. I am happy.

Great shooter!! Accurate for a BB air pistol! From 30' it was fun and easy to load and use both BB's and pellets. A blued finish that looks great.
Shorter barrel and a rifiled barrel for pellets.
It is heavy but I was expecting a full sized 8" barreled Smith & Wesson M-29 replica and I got a great one. When people see it they ask " is that real?"

Heavy, shoots great.
The grips are a bit cheap, and hollow feeling (which they are hollow). I filled in the backs of both grips with modeling clay and it feels much better now.
No, nice gun.
