Awesome!!!!! I use my airguns as hunting tools , with that said here is my findings. When I first seen the weight advertised and claims of it being quiet , just had to try it . Sure with all mechanical devices their will be qwarks and as some have said non user friendly attributes . I SIMPLY LOVE IT , what's not to love. Having taken over 50 squirrels in the last 3 weeks with the gun , what is not to love. I placed a Centerpoint 4 x 16 on top , checking pellet preference , settling on my favorite best cheapest pellet the Crosman Premier 14.3 . 800+ shots later it will hold a 20 shot group under .50 at 40 yards , I like 10 or 20 shots in a group , this is a true reflection of what the machine is doing. Have yet to put a pellet over the chronograph but will say that 40 yards on squirrels is where it is at , having shot 2 at 62 steps the platform is running out of steam. SIMPLY love the gun going to buy one in .177 to try out with the Gamo G Hammers I am very curious.

NOT ONE THING. Gun is very capable of long distance if 150 fps + - were added to the platform , if I didn't already have others for long range squirrels I would purchase another in .22 ( not touching this one , no way ) work on transfer port , springs, hammer to get 900 fps out of CP'S for long range work.

Best thing since cotton candy ,

Hunting rig extraordinary.

I really like the light weight of this rifle. I have so many other rifles that weigh more. It is refreshing to shoulder this. I also like the shorter length of this rifle too. The Arrow is also quiet. It is nice to shoot without being paranoid that your neighbors know you are shooting. The magazine works perfectly and has a visible remaining shot indicator. The mags also load easily. This gun is the only Gamo that I own which I consider to be accurate. It has taken chipmunks and squirrels at 30 yards. In addition it is refreshing to buy a European made air rifle for this price point.

The air cylinder should be a bit larger. You will not get anywhere near the 60s claimed shots especially in 22 caliber. Also the fill port is recessed in the bottom of the front forearm. It really does some take some amount of effort to attach the air hose. There is just barely enough room to attach it. When operating the bolt you need to push down slightly and pull back, if you have a scope attached that will not leave you a lot of room to maneuver. When I first started arming the bolt (inappropriate language police) this I was smashing my hand into the comb of the stock. I adjusted my technique rather quickly. The bolt does function flawlessly however and is unique.

I really think this air rifle offers a lot of value and performance for the price. It is quiet, lightweight, has sufficient punch, and really is quite fun overall. I was getting almost 18 foot pounds of energy with Air Arms heavies. One thing that I should mention is the rifle shipped without a fill port cover. The manual indicated there should be one. I contacted Gamo, the customer service rep was unable to provide me with an answer that day. After speaking to one of their techs she called me back, but I still haven't received that cover. I will probably need to go to Home Depot and see what I can find for an interim solution. I definitely recommend this product if you are looking to complement your current your gun selection.

I was amazed that mine did not have a fill port cover either. Have only had the gun for about two weeks now and it's Christmas time so things are busy around the house with 6 grand kids coming for the holidays. Did pump it and put one mag through it as a quick test. Regarding the effor to pump: I'm soon to be 78yrs. I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs. I have had significant spinal issues including disk fusions. However, pumping effectively is a matter of technique. Whenever the pumping becomes noticably difficult, I don't rely on upper body power. I simply center myself above the handle and then more or less let my knees give out (easy for an old wreck like me) and "drop" down on the handle. Works fine for me as long as I concentrate on keeping my balance. My back yard slopes down to a small creek and heavily wooded area. Lots of squirrels. They dig up my garden and planters. I have a squirrel killing trap that I got from Amazon. It works great but where's the fun? Gotta check on that port cover.

I sent my Arrow back to Gamo for warranty repair after just over one year. It would not hold air. I don’t know exactly what repairs they performed, but the rifle is now holding air, and everything works well.

First off, what a wonderful shooting gun. Light, nice trigger, very consistent especially as an unregulated gun. Got 40 shots first time out with a spread 25 from the first to the 40th. That is absolutely fantastic in my book. Got 17.47 foot pounds as a high, 16.5 as a low. Love the magazine, cocking is very easy, just a joy to shoot. Shoots as if its regulated! All this for $219!

Sidelever would be nice, but im not complaining.

Just an awesome gun, so happy with it.

Love the accuracy. Love the lack of recoil. Love the value. Love the trigger.

The quick disconnect didn't come with a cover. I double checked the box it came in. Would've been good to have to keep the dust out.

This is my first PCP. I love this thing. Can't wait to put a scope on it!!!

Very inexpensive. Quiet without having to buy a separate suppressor; back yard friendly -- about as loud as a sharp hand clap. Adjustable fiber optic sights so no scope needed for close-in shooting. Nice 10-shot magazine. Built-in Foster Quick Disconnect fill probe. Comfortable stock. Last year by the time I set up my .22 Avenger with a scope, rings, bipod, DonnyFL suppressor, and had bought ammo, a cleaning kit, custom mags, and a compressor, the $350 Avenger costs me nearly two grand! Since I already have the ammo, compressor, etc., and don't need anything else, this Gamo Arrow came to me complete for under $250 with tax and an extra mag. It's handy to have a simple close-range pellet rifle I can fire from the shoulder when I don't want to set up the long and heavy Avenger. If you already have a PCP air rifle, adding the Arrow to your collection is cheap and easy. High performance for very little money is why I rated this five stars for Value.

The trigger is awful to me. Out of the box the first "stage" flops loosely and the second stage is a long pull where it fires somewhere in the middle without warning. The first stage is adjusted with a tiny hex screw inside the trigger itself and Gamo does not provide the needed Allen wrench (not a common size). Tightened the second stage Philips head screw and got a slight improvement. There is no adjustment for trigger pressure, only length of the pull. I took a star off for not providing the Allen wrench and for a poor two-stage trigger. I don't like the pressure gauge on the front of the rifle under the barrel where I have to point it towards my head to read it. Only check the gauge when the rifle is unloaded and safed! Cocking the gun is awkward but you get used to it. I prefer a side lever to this upper cocking handle which you have to pull back towards your face while trying to keep your eye on the target. It makes it harder to take a fast follow-up shot if you need it.

Three things: First, comes with a nice magazine, but only ONE of them. Extra mags are around $18. You MUST use the magazines to shoot this rifle! There is no single shot tray or any other way to load pellets. Second, the breech access is very narrow. The mag slips in but nothing else because the upper rail closes it off. To clean the barrel I had to run my bore snake down from the muzzle end instead of feeding it up through the breech. Third, there is no provision to depressurize the reservoir. The rifle arrives with no air in it but once you fill it, you cannot bleed it out even if you want to. (Not sure why you'd need to since there's no regulator to adjust, but still....) I am still vexed that Gamo couldn't toss in an Allen key to adjust the trigger. The second stage adjustment never bottomed out; the screw just keeps turning as if it's stripped once you get to the minimum travel. Overall I consider this Gamo worth the money despite the quirky trigger and cocking lever.

H. F. Nov 29, 2022

Had this for three months now and still like it, but have noted a slow leak when stored. If I leave the rifle charged it will gradually bleed down over the course of a week or so. I have other PCPs that do not leak at all so this is a little disappointing but it's not a deal-breaker for this inexpensive rifle.

I do have all kinds of wrenches, Paul, in both metric and English. This one is exceptionally tiny and the only key I had for it was an Allen bit to fit into a universal driver. The slot in the trigger guard was too small to use it with the driver. I've bought bows, rifles, scopes, and other accessories which all included the Allen keys and I have several mechanics sets as well; none of them fit. The one for this trigger is not a common size. I dinged them one star for the inconvenience because other manufacturers provide them and wouldn't have even noticed if the trigger weren't so sloppy out of the box. With a collection of over 40 Allen keys, I didn't have one that fit this screw through the trigger slot. The gripe may be petty but I thought others should know so they can be prepared.

Paul Sep 10, 2022

You should have all kinds of allen wrenches, who needs another one. Rather petty gripe.

Okay, just noticed in the Description for this rifle Gamo claims "up to" 60 shots per fill, but there's an asterisk on that note. PA says in their testing they got 50 shots in .177 and 30 in .22 while keeping within 10% of the max fill velocity. I agree with that; my velocities started really dropping off after 35 shots. From now on I'll refill after three mags instead of four as I did below. Still enjoying this rifle.

H. F. Sep 02, 2022

Did chronograph testing on the Gamo using 11.75 gr Predator GTO non-lead pellets. Since these are lighter than the typical .22 lead pellets, the speeds I got were probably faster than you can expect with heavier lead ones. I shot two mags with the rifle filled to 3300 psi with fairly consistent results around 800 FPS. Speeds for the third and fourth magazine started to drop and ranged from 786 FPS to 750, averaging 769 with a std. dev. of 11 FPS. This gave a slow drop from around 16 FPE down to 14.6 FPE, but the Gamo still seemed very accurate even as the muzzle velocity and power tapered off. It was better than I expected for a non-regulated PCP.

H. F. Sep 02, 2022

The gauge is very hard to read. Not certain but I believe the black lines on the gauge indicate 100 (min safe), 150, 200, and 232 (max safe) bar. The gauge has a red area that goes to 350 bar. I estimate my 3rd and 4th magazines took it from 2800 psi down to 1800 psi or just under 130 bar. I could have shot another mag from that point but stopped testing once the pellet speed dropped to 750 FPS. Realistically a full fill is good for four mags or 40 shots before you will want to refill the rifle. The owner's manual cautions against shooting without sufficient air pressure so it's probably better to stop before you get near the lower limit. Overall this is a great little backyard-friendly PCP rifle for a very low cost. If you aren't fussy about the trigger it's fine, and works best for me with the trigger adjustment screws tightened to minimum play. You get used to the plastic cocking lever. For close range shooting, the Arrow is a terrific value. I do recommend it.

Very light and easy to handpump which is its purpose for me. Simple design. I'm always molding and tuning my guns and this one is super fast and easy to disassemble and work on. Within 30 minutes I had it shooting at just under 30fpe. Shot count obviously dropps at that power but I'm thrilled with the 2 magazines of shots I get now.

The arrow fetching shaped cocking bolt. I wish it was more like an AR or crosman challenger bolt. Still works well and easy cock and shoot.

It's a short range budget gun. Don't buy it expecting to win a shooting competition or shoot the wings off a gnat at 50 yards. I plan to keep mine open sights for a fall squirrel gun and its plenty capable of that out to 25 yards with the open sights. Only takes a few minutes to handpump from empty and even faster just to top off after shooting. Highly recommend especially as a hunter coming from a break barrel. About the same cost and a little better performance. If larger diameter pellets don't fit the magazine that means they're too large for the barrel. .552 has been the best for me so far plus the magazines will hold standard polymags which I love for hunting.

To Jeffrey The easier tuning that could be done is: -using different hammer springs -drilling out the transfer post sleeve (assuming you want more power) For tuning the Gamo Arrow search posts on www.airgunnation.com or www.gatewaytoairguns.org

Jeffrey Oct 03, 2022

Hey Troy, can you point me in the right direction to see how to tune this rifle? Thanks much!

Light and quiet.

Magazines shoule accept all head sized pellets. Some pellets like H&N Field need to be pressed in resulting the magazine not rotating and feeding. Second Stage of trigger is a mile long. They need a more rigid receiver the plastic flexes and the Point of impact is all over the place if you use the scope.

I purchased this and intially liked it. Then I started having problems with the bolt not closing, the magazine not advancing, not holding zero. I have sent it back for a refund and will look into something else.

Ken Aug 10, 2023

Yea this was my grab and go super accurate play gun. I use the Stoeger 10 gr copper coated pellets. One day, totally random, it started shooting super low. I swapped scopes and even shimmed one and could not get it zeroed. I cleaned the barrel, checked the silencer baffles for damage and could not see anything. Sucks !!!

Christopher Aug 27, 2022

Some pellet types, like JSB Beasts, are too large for some magazines... but this uses a similar mag to the Swarm models if I'm not mistaken... and I am 100% positive that H&N Field Target Trophy tacks fit perfectly and are accurate AF in ,177 & ,22 loaded in the corresponding Gamo rifles, break barrel OR PCP (I'm partial to the copper coated "Power" versions of those pellets personally), as I have a Whisper Fusion Mach 1 .22, Swarm Whisper 10X ,177, and an Urban .22, plus a Gamo CO2 Revolver & a Blowback Pistol. Also, are you saying the optics rail flexes? Are you certain your rings are properly torqued to the manufacturer's specifications? Was there a recoil stop included with your rings that might've mitigated optics movement? Other things that can alter POA are inconsistently manufactured/cheap pellets, pellets that are too light, or poor BRM/shooting fundamentals. Thanks for returning yours, though. I'm happy to buy it as a REFURB. Pyramid is an excellent source for used air guns.

Troy Aug 27, 2022

If a pellet head size isn't fitting that means it's too large for the rifle barrel.

Quiet Light weight Good accuracy Likes a large assortment of pellets Good shot count (40-50)

Loose the TruGlo sights. They are terrible if you like iron sites and can shoot accurately. Charging handle sometimes is hard to push completely closed.

I am not a fan of Gamo but this is a nice gun. 5.52 pellets were perfect but 5.55 did not load well into magazines and prevent the mag from advancing pellets.

Ok people just received my rifle, fit and finish is better than expected. Cleaned the bore and scoped it for a decent performance reading. At 30yrds with Jsb 15.89's she's doing 1/4 groups. If you have owned Gamos in the past, the trigger is what it is. The rifle is very comfortable and surprisingly quite, I almost thought something was wrong with it because it made next to no noise. So far I've managed to get 30 shots with no devastation of pinpoint. Magazine feeds properly and are cheap, I ordered 2.

Nothing yet, just a starter review.

I noticed when charging the rifle with the arrow lever your hand hits the sharp part of the stock. Though I haven't shot the rifle open sights, the scope narrows the charging action. So far, accuracy wise, she's a good bit of a kit for the $'s! Good for the money so far.

Shooter Aug 20, 2022

As a side note I purchased the .22 cal and did my accuracy test off a stable bench rest. Now that I've shot it over the weekend I would definitely recommend the rifle. For being non-regulated its amazing the consistency of this rifle.
