Really enjoyed the rifle for about 100 shots, it then started jamming on the cock mechanism. I was able to clear it a couple times but now the gun is not usable. I read somewhere before I purchased that people were having issues after 250 shots and I still took a chance. I guess thats on me. I am trying to figure out if it is worth the cost and time to get service support, or just throw it in the trash.

Everything about the gun. The size, weight and feel.

Rear sight blends in with the cocking lever, a little bit harder to use. I solved that by installing a William's diopter rear sight and removed the screw in diopter eye piece. Now I have a large hole to sight thru, acts like a ghost ring. Works really well with the front sight.

I love to shoot any kind of gun. BB guns are one of my favorites. Maybe not the most accurate of my many BB guns, one inch at 18' off bags and that's not bad at all. I only shoot Black Widow & Hornady black plated in it. Smart shot BB's also. I tried Daisy Match and got jams, was Lucky to get it cleared with out having to tear it down! If you love BB guns as much as I do try one I think you won't be disappointed.

Gun is large with good material quality. Collectible / unique. A good value considering the overall quality.

Better open sights. Smooth bore rather than rifled.

In order to get a good eye alignment I needed to rest the stock on top of my shoulder while seated. Standing the gun shoulders fine. Be sure to clean the magazine tube before loading. I don't think you should dry fire. User manual says "steel" BBs only. Online search says to use lead BBs to preserve the barrel rifling. BBs do not do well if spun. Why Diana has a rifled barrel for a BB only gun is a mystery. Accuracy is moderate but gun might do better with steel (lighter) BBs.

Turned the clock back 50+ years! This was the first rifle I ever shot, at the Oktoberfest shooting galleries as an overseas Army BRAT. Fun then, even more fun now. In the first month I've already put 1500+ rounds through it, and not a single misfire. The 120-round capacity magazine tube is a game changer, as the fun keeps coming shot after shot. I tweaked the site slightly out of the box, and now 5-shot groupings are repeatedly within a quarter at 5m - standing and unsupported; not bad for these old eyes. I do get the occasional flyer, but would attribute that to the ammo before faulting the gun's consistency. Your arms will get tired before you get tired of plinking or target shooting, because the gun is solidly built (so a bit heavy). Great for teaching youth about safe handling procedures, aiming, and gun care. Plenty of power; tears up aluminum cans and will even penetrate through both sides of a steel soup can.

I wish the plug for the tube magazine was somehow attached (like by a chain) because I just know I'll dropkick it somewhere and not be able to find it. I also don't like the fact that the plug is friction fitting plastic - I know it will eventually lose its holding power and will need to be replaced. I think some sort of twist on cap, or an integrated quarter turn mechanical valve-like aperture would be a nice, permanent solution for securing the gravity fed magazine. It also didn't come with much documentation, and I would have like to have had more information from the manufacturer about care and maintenance procedures and maybe a parts schematic. I'd like it to be lighter too, but not at the expense of swapping any of the wood or steel for plastic, so I guess I'll just settle for getting stronger arms.

I love the funky, old school styling, and the massive cocking lever. I love that it's a full size adult BB gun. The action is flat out fun to work. This gun kinda breaks the usual mold for these reviews. For example, the trigger. While it is a far cry from a Weihrauch Rekord trigger, for a general plinking and fun gun, the trigger is more than adequate to it's intended purpose. Fit and finish is impressive for such an inexpensive BB rifle. Keeping in mind that this is a silly, fun, plinking rifle I think the accuracy, the trigger, the sights, and all the standard issue nit-picks are all pretty darn exceptional. Accuracy is hard to judge. This gun will never be shot from a bench and accuracy tested. It's plenty good to hit steel targets, tin cans, etc. at ten meters or so. That's all I ask of it. This is not in my apocalypse survival kit. It's simply a fun gun. It's okay to just have fun. I'll be buying more of these for informal backyard fun and competitions.

The end cap that keeps the BBs in. I'd like to see a spare included with the rifle. It's just way too easy to drop it in a lawn, some snow, etc. and lose it. I'm sure we can all be creative with dowel rods, 3D printers, etc. but an extra cap would be nice. And this part isn't a gripe...The gun is made to a price point, and I get that. I'd like to see it with less plastic, and more metal. I'd be willing to pay a fairly high price for a more old school, authentic version of this rifle.

This is a full size gun. It would be a hoss for any kid to try to handle. The front sight is pretty tough to manage. It can be colored, and thinned a bit, but you can only do so much with it. I've shot a mix of steel BBs and Air Venturi frangible BBs from it with no trouble. Everything is accurate enough for what it's intended to do. Amongst my friends and family that have seen and handled it, the gun seems to be loved or hated. More... tightly wound, detail oriented personalities seem to hiss at it like a vampire to a Holy water, but the lovers of retro, funky, and weird get an instant silly grin on their face. If you want top notch accuracy and lightweight...ya' might check out something else. If this suits you...it's pretty great.

Nicely stained and finished wood stock. Provides a look and feel of quality without needing to be overly concerned about using it. Provides enough weight to absorb recoil without being too heavy to shoot offhand. Bluing is good. Bolt cocking is so “unique”, not difficult. Quality metal mechanic sound and feel. Trigger pull is long and smooth but without a definitive stop before activation - takes focused concentration. Approximately 300 - 400 shots in without sight adjustment and uncleaned barrel 8 of 10 shot groups coverable by a nickel, 5 by a dime from a rest at 5 meters.

Nothing. I favor open sights at 5 and 10 meters even with mid-seventies eyes. However, finding some way to add an optic without changing the gun would garner 5 stars as sights do easily blend into bolt mechanism depending on lighting.

On sale with free shipping this purchase is a no brainer. Rifle rates right up there with a Daisy 499B. If you have been sitting on the fence - don’t. Buy it and have some fun. You’ll enjoy the bolt cocking too.

Husky nice looking, well built, powerful BB gun with a beautiful wood stock and well placed easy to use safety switch. 120 round magazine fills in less than a minute with the provided machined funnel. Wouldn't expect anything less from a Diana product... All this for just a C note too! thanks PA...

Although the sights are well made, the rear sight blends in with the cocking bolt so I'll be removing it eventually and replacing it with an adjustable peep sight on the receiver all the way back just in front of the safety. Easily done with the proper fit-up & the right glue...

This is a great "second to none" gallery gun... It's capable of hitting and going through both sides of a small mushroom tin can at 50 ft. every time. No noise, No $ for Co2, No worries about toxic lead in the back yard and BB's are cheap to shoot. Yee-haw!

Accurate out to 20 yards on soda cans. Incredibly inexpensive to shoot.

The system is very delicate. Care is needed for proper operation and function.

Read the instructions; particularly the warnings and cautions. It’ll prevent future headaches.

Very nice rifled BB rifle! Nice wood stock and pretty accurate with H&N Smart Shot copper plated lead BBs.

The sights. As others stated, they work but are difficult to see with my nearly 70 year old eyes.

Great fun plinking cans with it! My wife even told me how nice it looks and she is not a gun gal. Even though the manual says to only use steel BBs the H&N Smart Shot works great.

Nothing again I'm not an engineer jus a goofy ole man who wants everyone to grab one theses and go make some cans sing or a few plastic soldiers to fly up in surprise.. anyway I like it
