Things I Liked

Large loop lever is comfortable for big hands. Accuracy is good, hitting aluminum cans at 50 feet. Red Ryder clone but that's not a bad thing when done right. Marlin logo on stock is a nice touch.

Things I Would Have Changed

I would pay more for wood especially if it had the same contours of the polymer stock. Maybe make it an option?

What Others Should Know

Read the manual. This is the first time I have seen instructions for clearing a jam! Not that I've ever had one jam but good to know.

Things I Liked

The overall size, shape, finish and quality of this BB gun are excellent! It is very much a clone of a red rider, but does not disappoint in being such.

Things I Would Have Changed

The front sight! The external mount can be replaced however with a piece that you can find on eBay, And which goes inside the barrel as to other BB guns of this ilk. Just look for Marlin BB gun front site.

What Others Should Know

The stocks are plastic versus wood on other brands. However, they are well done, and the cocking lever is metal of some kind.

Things I Liked

Using Crosman copperhead BBs feed reliably and decent accuracy out of the box, sights were dead on at about 10 yards. Looped lever comfortably fits adult hand and offers up quick follow up shots for javelina by the trash cans.

Things I Would Have Changed

As always, plastic.

Polymer to me is the same as plastic.

Joe Jan 04, 2025

Is polymer the same as plastic? No, polymer is not the same as plastic, but plastic is a type of polymer: Definition Polymers are chemical compounds with long, repeating chains of bonded molecules. Plastics are a specific type of polymer that are made up of long chains of polymers. Composition Polymers can be natural or synthetic, while plastics are synthetic. Examples of natural polymers include cellulose, starch, and proteins, while examples of synthetic polymers include nylon, neoprene, polypropylene, and Bakelite. Properties Plastics are generally made from oil and are a good choice for durable products. Polymers can range in strength and thickness, from thin laminating film to hard-shell containers. The terms "polymer," "resin," and "plastic" are often used interchangeably in the plastics industry. However, some people may use one term more than another.
