Page 3 of 8 - Air Venturi V10 Reviews

Single stroke gives great consistency. The pistol is pretty comfortable in the hand. The rear sight is easy to adjust and has a variable notch width. The pistol is pretty quite and can be shot indoors with no issues.

HORRIBLE Barrel. My breech section had Burr so bad it did not allow some pellets to be loaded or fired. I removed it and re-crowned it (it was much better afterwards). Accuracy stinks. I am going to re-crown the muzzle to see if that helps, but the rifling looks to be pitted in the barrel itself. Even after some exhaustive cleaning the barrel still performs like garbage. The Trigger adjustment is almost non existent and the change in pull at opposite ends of the adjustment travel is only ounces different. Receiver is not grooved so no scope or red dot (yes sure it is supposed to be a 10 meters competition pistol, but honestly if your entering with this thing, you are not serious). One of the screws that holds the grip on place stripped out the wood it was screwed into (really a $250 pistol that has the screws holding the grip on are just attached into the wood? I mean a brass insert would have added like $.06 cent to the total)

If you like to tinker, then this is the gun for you. My Beeman P17 shoots rings around this pistol (at 1/5 the price). I almost returned this gun, but I actually love how easy it is to cock, load and shoot. The trigger pull takes a bit to get used to. Once I get this dialed in it will be great. I'm going to drop a reworked Crosman barrel (or possibly I will spring for a LW barrel)into it. I have ordered brass inserts for the grip screws. I am going to polish the trigger sear and see if I can't get a little better pull. I am tough on my rating, but it is a disappointing pistol out of the box. I have spent a LOT less money and gotten MUCH more gun with other brands.

Wood grips that can be easily altered. One stroke pumping. Simple and easy loading. Adequate accuracy. Decent sights with three adjustments. Can be adjusted and tweaked (if you know what you are doing).

Rear of gun rubs my thumb knuckle requiring a lot of stock removal. There might be a tendancy to kick up on firing (or I still don't know how to pull a trigger). More metal would be nice. Metal sights or provisions for upgrades. Upgrade options!

I don't regret buying this gun.

Weight, Balance and Trigger Pull all Fantastic right out of the box. Sight adjustments were a very pleasant surprise. Being able to adjust the rear blade opening is a saving grace for older eyes. Windage and elevation adjustments all positive. Very sure this pistol is far more accurate than I am.

Too early to tell.

Single shot, top lever pump may seem slow and tedious to most but
It's a great tool to teach trigger control and sight alignment.

Great accuracy, good grips and sights.

The trigger is horrible, I adjusted it to the lowest weight and it was over four pounds. I thought about sending it back as the trigger weight is advertised to break much lower. But, I took the gun apart and worked the trigger mechanism and it is much better but still not suitable for ten meter competition. I like the gun but the trigger keeps it from being a great gun.

Mainly see above, This is advertised as a ten meter pistol and could be if the trigger would adjust to the weight advertised.

First ever air pistol --- very satisfied with product quality, performance and value.

I've had a lot of fun and success shooting this pistol at paper targets and knockdowns in my basement during the winter. It's got great balance, terrific grips, and is super easy to cock and shoot. I've had no issues with the plastic upper.

my back sights are not level, the left side is slightly lower than the right side.

I'm a sucker for ribbed barrels on target guns, this pistol has a long sight radius and adjustable sights, I'm still getting familiar with it, so I have not adjusted anything yet, but from my understanding the rear notch can be adjusted for width which is conducive to target shooting, trigger can also be adjusted, so far factory settings are doing ok.

I like that the grip is wood, it gives the sense of higher quality, I will need to modify the adjustable block at the back heel to have a similar angle as the backstrap. It creates a uncomfortable pressure point on the bottom my palm, but because its wood it gives the user the ability to tailor fit. I would like to see more metal on the gun, as a target gun I feel that it would benefit from the weight of more metal, although the quality is great. I think metal would take it up a notch. I have 4 stars on value for money because at $270. More metal would be great.

I purchased this beginning of 2021, firearm ammo is scarce and expensive so I dove back into airguns to satisfy my itch to target shoot. I didn't have a air pistol and this seemed like a good self contained
(Doesn't rely on external power source) pistol. I'm mostly a target shooter, and this gun is set up for it. Definitely a great entry into air pistols, as accurate as a rifle and smooth operating.

Price, accuracy, left-hand grip availability.

Not much at this price point.

This a fantastic pistol for the price. It is extremely accurate and a lot of fun in the basement. The grip is a little large for my small hands but it is wood so I can work on correcting that. This is certainly a cost effective way to get some practice during the off season while stuck indoors (with a proper pellet trap). I will add a pcp pistol in the near future but in the mean time this was a much less expensive alternative. As always, Pyramid Air was a pleasure to deal with and I look forward to many more purchases from them.

Accuracy. Trigger force and angle adjustments. Comfort handle adjustments. Sighting...see below.

Clearer directions for rear sight adjustment, in particular, adjusting the width of the rear sight opening. But when you figure it out, it is exceptional!

My neighbor, who turned me on to PyramydAir was a US Army Pistol Shooting Champion and certified pistol instructor. He was the first person I let fire this air gun and he was impressed! Who the heck am I to disagree with that?
Its easy to use and as smooth as you want it to be after adjusting it to your desires.
Marketed as an entry level air gun target pistol, it checks all the boxes. Im really pleased with this purchase! And Im enjoying the heck out of the experience!
