I had only used spring piston rifles before the Alpha, so this was a substantial upgrade in convenience and power. The styling, quality, and accuracy are all top notch. It wasn't any louder than my old Gamo Wildcat Whisper, and now that I've swapped the moderator it's impressively quiet - the sound of the pellet smacking my target is much louder than the air blast.

The hammer spring is definitely on the strong side; clipping/swapping the spring ranges from $0 to $25 and increases the shot count to 30 per fill with no loss in power. Also, the thread lock on the moderator seems like a petty ploy to push people to purchase pricier pellet pushers. A cheap butane torch generates more than enough heat to overcome this.

I did weeks of research before deciding on the Alpha (compact) as my first PCP. Two months into ownership, I am fully convinced that this is currently the best value in PCP rifles.

I firstly would say that I am glad for this purchase as I feel as I definately got a lot of bag for my buck. The fit and finish are acceptable I cannot attest to the accuracy yet because I am waiting on my balistol to arrive.

I was dissapointed in the trigger not being the one that was pictured when I purchased the rifle and see that the photos have now been updated to reflect the lastest batch It would be nice to be made whole and offered this as a purchased from this date to ... for a free upgrade.

On my standard version there seems to be no shortage of locktite used to keep the moderator in place

The accuracy. This full sized Alpha is a definite thumper, putting the smack down on any critter from trash panda sized down to squirrels and rabbits with pinpoint accuracy.

Add a sling mount to. Rear of the folding stock. Other than that, zero compalints.

Buy one while you can! These sell out fast. . You definitely wont regret it.

Light, fun, foldable stock, accurate, nice barrel shroud, ready for mods, price point, 3625 fill, not pellet picky

Make the hammer spring adjustable or changeable out of the box. Make the magazine lock out when empty. Include a poppet in the spare parts. Put the stock lock nuts in the spare parts bag or a separate bag. Ditch the fill probe for an attached foster fitting. Make the pic rail longer. Add an adjustable cheek piece or rubber buttplate (the limited adjustability isn't enough). Put the fill gauge on the bottom. Go back to the original trigger. Make a proprietary bottle change adapter/kit. Do all that and you've got a solid entry level field target shooter and the only/last plinker anyone will ever need.

I like this gun a LOT, but it definitely has issues that will need to be addressed in the G2 build. Maple Customs has a lighter hammer spring with shims to adjust power, but if the gun came with an adjustable hammer spring or lighter one right out of the box it would be lights out. It's accurate and has enough power to get out to 55 plus yards easily. I'd take this over the Notos as is and if they make the right adjustments to the G2 this could be an awesome entry level field target rifle and a lifelong favorite plinker. The lock nuts will either be missing, loose in the box, or stuck in the magnet for the stock. To load the magazine don't push the pellet over the clip piece, put the first pellet in the open spot and then rotate and repeat all the way to 10. Overall, this gun has restored my interest in small bore and plinking and I think it can help others do the same after an exhausting stretch of big bore obsession.

Light weight, accurate, quiet, powerful and good trigger.

Pressure gauge placement and personally I would rather have psi readings rather than bar readings. Safety placement, fill probe, cocking is sloppy and loose, I don't like the fact that you can close the chamber on a empty mag and it doesn't have a shot count but other than that the mag is very reliable. The shoulder stock is not what I consider well built or solid.

It's not the best gun but it might be close to the best for the price.

Make sure it comes with all parts included.

This item will probably come missing the hardware to attach the stock.

This gun is light compack im 69 years of age have been shooting pcp for years love this alpha. Please keep making light weight short compack guns..thanks

The change would be able to put your own moderator people would like that

The people when I call to ask questions they help me really well they don't have no problem answering my questions or helping me purchase an item cuz sometimes I can't do it on my phone they're nice . Never have I been able to set up a scope faster. This gun is very consistent. I found myself shooting in the same hole sometimes when shooting hand held and not resting on anything. It really lets you see when you twitch and mess a shot up. I can't believe how fun this is to shoot. This is my first PCP, but it is so much better than the spring pellet guns I've owned or tried. The power is also incredible. I've had shots almost make it through an inch of plywood. I will be buying a steel plate for my DIY pellet trap.

I can't think of anything. I may change the cheek rest and grip by making wood ones, but that's more a preference and shows how much you can do with this gun.

Not that this is a problem, but be aware this isn't a backyard plinker if you live in the suburbs. It has a ton of power and can shoot through a lot of things you wouldn't expect. Just be safe and know what's behind your target.

Alpha Compact Tube. Accurate right out of the box. Loves JSB Hades 15.89 gr. Stacks pellets at 25m. Dimes at 40m. I’ve done roughly 250 shots since purchase and have been totally impressed.

Adjustable magnet for the folding stock. If it’s not at the standard height the stock doesn’t stay folded.

I fill to 3500psi and get 20 absolutely consistent shots before it falls off. You could stretch to 24 before it falls off drastically.
