My daughter took her first deer this past season using the 150 grain 308 XP's. They were sub MOA on paper at 100 yards with average recoil at the range on sandbags. The rifle used was a Remington 700 with a 20" bull barrel and Burris 4.5x14 Fullfield II scope. The doe taken was at approximately 100 yards away and field dressed around 120 lbs. The bullet landed in the sweet spot hitting the heart and (1) rib at the entrance, (1) on the exit. Entry wound was "pinky sized" but the exit was jaw dropping...it was the size of a tennis ball. I am talking daylight hole, and the deer never blinked an eye and fell without a step taken. Folks, this is bad medicine for thin skinned game.
