Page 2 of 30 - Winchester Deer Season XP 300 Reviews

Deer run significantly farther than any other round I’ve used(usually power points), break apart on contact and do no expand. Lastly out of the 60 rounds I’ve bought to try had one no fire and almost lost the opportunity on a buck.

Best knock down power of any bullet in any conditions or terrain

Best ammo on the market in my input I use it in my 30-06 and 7mm08 and when I had a 6.5 I used it in it all round the best shoots great and holds true I have killed deer out to over 300 yards and not wearing about it doing the job drop in there track

Not sure if I got a bad box or what. Used for years with 1” MOA at 100 yards. This box has around a 4” MOA. I use this ammo in my 30-06’s, 3030 and AR. For some reason my 3030 is not holding a good pattern with this box.

I have had great success using this round on deer.. I've even used it on hogs and exotics with great success. Ninety percent of animals drop on the spot

Absolutely love it from my 300 win mag Sub 1 moa groups but must check for proper crimpes the last time I ran them I had a ragged hole with three shots

Used it this season to great effect. Put one shot at 100 yards right above the shoulder and it dropped a 179lbs fallow deer where it stood.

I have tried to use this bullet for deer hunting in Louisiana this year (2024) and have had issues with each shot. I have hit all three deer i have shot at but with low production. The first one was at 210-yardsi got hair fat and meat but no blood trail, found dead 150-yardsfrom where shot a week later with a hole behind the left shoulder in the ribs. The second was at 115-yards i hit, there was no sign of hair or blood, but found the next day 100-yards form where shot. A great shot right at the right shoulder and found blood 5-feet form the body. The third was at 70-yards, and was hit this evening. I watched him get hit fell in his front legs, regained footing and ran off. No hair, or blood trail and have not found as or yet, will look in the moring. Production harvest is one out of three. First and 6 point that could have been mounted but squeals have chewed the horns. Second a great 8 point over 220lds and being mounted. The third was just for meat but was another 6 point.

I have a Savage model 111 in 30.06. I was shooting Federal ballistic silver tips 180gr., then Remington reduced recoil 125gr I was not happy with them. I saw these and decided to give them a try. These grouped around 1.5" at 100yds. For hunting I have thus far shot at 9 deer with them at ranges between 35 and 230 yds. 7 of the deer dropped right where they stood. One deer ran 20 yds. It was a 90 yd shot, quartering towards me. The last, a 35 yd shot on a small doe ran 60 yds and collapsed (probably too close for the bullet to expand before going through). Overall, this was much better performance than I had got from the Federal or Remington. I will be sticking with these for now.

Great product. ballistics hold true in the field. Great knock down power. Dropped this doe at 300 yards in her tracks. The coyote was at 90 yards running to me that morning.
