One shot one kill. Dropped my doe at 100 yds on the spot. I used my Palmetto State Armory 300 blackout AR platform with 16 in barrel. This 300blackout 150 grain round is excellent!
Accuracy is great, 5/8" 100yd groups every time. Very good on dear and coyote. Devastating on neck shoots, drops dead instantly. Good size exit hole as well.
Great product. Have used both the .308 and 6.5cm versions and both worked flawlessly.
Never had a deer walk when it's hit. Been used at 50-200 yards. It's a great round
First off the accuracy is amazing, been a long time I’ve seen a factory load hold a group so tight at 200yd zero in a long time. Took the .270win out today and dropped a 8pt dead in his tracks. Was a neck shot, which I felt comfortable taking due to the performance at the range. When cleaning the deer I even more impressed with the wound cavity. Look like a grenade exploded. Definitely a fan of these XP’s now!
This ammo is extremely accurate in my rifle with consistent .75 MOA at 100 yards. I have only used the Deer Season XP for 4 seasons, but have never had an issue with kills within 200 yards. I trust the Winchester Deer Season XP for all of my deer hunting.
223: either the cases are all a different length, or the cannelure on the bullet is in a different place on every bullet. The first three I pulled out of the box, 1 had no cannelure showing, 1 was crimped dead in the middle of it and the 3rd was crimped below the cannelure. 30-30: Was sighting in a Contender 24" carbine. The 150gr Whitetail averaged a measly 26fps faster than Winchester's own 170gr PowerPoint. The 170gr load averaged faster than the published MV and the 150gr averaged over 100fps BELOW published velocity
This is a fantastic round flat shooting 50 to 75 yards perfect for hunting in thick wooded area and repeats well for target shooting 3/4 at 50 yards and 1" at 75 yards.
These shoot a tight, consistent grouping in my 50 year old Marlin 336.
