In the past 3 years since I started hunting small game with a PCP. I have taken approximately 90 to 100 fox squirrels. I have used the .22 caliber H&N Baracuda Hunter exclusively. All squirrels were taken with 1 shot with a Hatsan AT44-10QE. Ranges were between 20 and 50 yards. This pellet works as well as any .22 rimfire for heavy fox squirrels. Most were taken with head shots but maybe a quarter were also chest shots and those were just as deadly. No squirrel ran after hitting the ground. This is a super accurate pellet in my gun and devastating on small game!

If your gun will shoot these pellets accurately I would highly recommend them for hunting.
Did not shoot as well out of my gun as expected.

I shot a groundhog, headshot, that thing dropped like a stone, no passthrough! I found the round for hunting critters. These work for about everything. Polymags blow things to pieces also, but they are too expensive for regular use, also the JSB Ultra Shocks are good rounds, just pricier.

Using 20 yards and less in my Avenger and they're very accurate, MUCH quieter than the JSB Hades Match I was using and expand much better also.

Verified BuyerIt is an utterly lethal hunting pellet. Great expansion and knockdown power in my 22 cal. Walther Reign. My usable range is 50 yards and the pellet is highly accurate within that distance. I also like that the tin screws shut.

These H&N Baracuda Hunter pellets are superbly made works of art. I like their shape and size, the tin they come in is very nice too, has threads, so I won't find them spilled into my pocket.
Nope.
These have a hole in the top, which is part of the reason, besides the overall shape and material, which results in expansion upon impact, you won't believe! If you have tough pests that seem to shrug off regular pellets, these will be their "curtain call". Otherwise, like me, the terminal effects on cans, and other objects is very impressive!
