Things I liked: The optics are clear, the scope is light, w/e adjustments very tactile. The cross hair is very fine and the magnification range is on point for hunting out to 50 yards or so. I got this scope for my marauder then put it on my prosport. It has been on 3 rifles over a couple years and works well.

Things I would have changed: Nothing for the price point

What others should know: This scope is not spring gun rated, but it will work well for a while. 3k shots between an hw50 and a prosport, both mild recoiling guns, the zero does shift periodically.

Things I liked: I liked just about everything about it. The 2 x 7 power is all I feel I need for general air rifle use (plinking and backyard squirrels) and I like the adjustable brightness illuminated mil dot reticle. The illumination does help my old eyes. I also liked the overall size of the scope.

Things I would have changed: Nothing

What others should know: The scope was mounted on my .177 Umarex Octane. I only gave it a 4 star overall rating because after probably less than 500 shots the reticle started to rotate inside the tube. I have sent it back to PA for an exchange but have yet to receive the replacement as they are presently backordered. Other than the rotating reticle I was very pleased with it and am looking forward to getting the replacement.

  • Miles from USA asked:

i am thinking about using this on a 22 automatic, will the recoil be to much?

    • Wayne from USA asked:

Can PA please clarify their write up as to the following statement located in the description... "Please note: If you plan to mount your Hawke Sport Optics riflescope on a spring powered airgun, please choose a scope that features a 30mm tube chassis." I would plan to use this with a utg rail and weaver low rings on a RWS-48.

      • Zachary from USA asked:

Can this scope stand a rws 350 magnum .22

        • Wegman from USA:

A few year and a few thousand pellets later, I have had loss of zero 3 or 4 times after long periods of holding zero perfectly. Go figure. I just re-zeroed yesterday, scope suddenly shifted to hit 1 in high and 1/2 left at 40 feet. dialed down to a one hole pattern, again. Hope it stays.

        • Wegman from USA:

My RWS 48 22 hasn't hurt it at all. I did shoot it off the rifle until I pinned the rings to the rail. The RWS48 kicks a scope like a mule
