According to airgun writer Tom Gaylord, the Benjamin Trail NP2 is the easiest-cocking gas piston he's ever shot.

This special combo includes a CenterPoint Optics rifle scope that helps you home in on your targets -- critters, spinners, soda cans or bullseyes. Since you'll probably use the Benjamin Trail NP2 for hunting, we're including a Benjamin air rifle sling to make it easier to carry your gun for hours. You can also use the sling as a shooting aid to steady yourself. This air rifle is assembled in America at the Crosman plant in Bloomfield, New York.

Please note the scope shown is an old model. Crosman has replaced packages with a new improved version - CP394AONP2-999.

If you purchase the .22-caliber rifle, your box may state the wrong velocity with lead pellets.

Things I liked: For the money I don't think the NP2 can be beat. I currently have four air rifles and I like this one the best. A little trigger work does wonders, power is good and since I've painted it looks good.

Things I would have changed: Install a better trigger and iron sights.

What others should know: Good buy for the price.

  • Juan from USA asked:

Hello guys. I'm seting up my rifle, and printing out tables with Strelok. Does anybody know what is the Twist Rate (inches per turn) of the 0.22 Barrel? THanks!!!

    • Justin from USA asked:

How heavy of a hunting pellet can I shoot out of my Np2?

      • Tyler from USA:

In .177, you can probably go up to the real heavyweight 16 grain pellets and not see any problems, but accuracy will be something you'll want to test for thoroughly before heading into the field. Usually the 10-11 grain pellets work well

    • Colton from USA asked:

How loud is it compared to a .17 caliber?

      • Tyler from USA:

It is a .177 caliber. So what specifically are you asking? Do you mean a 17 hmr?
