  • Assembled in America!

Benefits of the Nitro Piston 2 over a metal mainspring:

  • Smoother cocking
  • Smoother shooting
  • No spring torque
  • No spring fatigue, even if left cocked for hours
  • Functions perfectly in cold weather
  • Lasts longer than a metal spring

Assembled in Crosman's plant in Bloomfield, New York, the Benjamin Trail NP2 is a significant improvement over the original Nitro Piston powerplant. For starters, it has a lower cocking effort. Who doesn't like that?

Second, it's remarkably quiet. A real plus if you hunt or prefer not alerting your neighbors that you're shooting in the backyard.

Another improvement is the new trigger. A crisp trigger with predictable let-off is an aid to accuracy. And I'm guessing that precision is the No. 1 reason you buy any air gun.

You'll get your choice of scope plus rings and a Benjamin sling. The scope will help you home in on your targets, and the sling will lighten your load as you go out in the woods and fields to plink and hunt.

Lastly, this comes with a wood stock. It seems more and more guns come with synthetic stocks, but there's something to be said for having wood instead of plastic!

Please note the scope shown is an old model. Crosman has replaced packages with a new improved version CP394AONP2-999.

If you purchase the .22-caliber rifle, your box may state the wrong velocity with lead pellets.

Things I liked: Accuracy, ease of cocking, scope included.

Things I would have changed: Maybe a better sling

What others should know: It is a great entry level air rifle, worked great for dispatching squirrels and rabbits. Was accurate even for me with my poor shooting form.

Things I liked: This was my first 'adult' air rifle, which I purchased about a year and a half ago to take care of a backyard pest problem. The built in shroud makes this gun really quiet, so it's very backyard friendly. It's decently accurate. I can make head shots on small game out to about 25 yards, although a better shooter could likely do better. The cocking is smooth and easy. The included scope is good enough, and is still going strong after 1000+ shots. The thumb hole wood stock is fairly plain, but is very comfortable.

Things I would have changed: Nothing.

What others should know: This gun has a lot of nice features for the money. This gun is easy and fun to shoot. I've gotten several friends into air rifle shooting with this gun!

Things I liked: I really like the stock design on this rifle. It feels good in the hand and is very easy to handle. This was not very acurate put of the box, after 200 shots or so it was starting to get better in terms of accuracy and consistency. This rifle has power! Easily 25ft pounds of energy. Find the right pellet and what you feel comfortable shooting. I really like the baffle on the rifle. It really dampens the noise level and makes it sounds rather quiet which makes it perfect for the backyard in a city area. Something thay could be an issue for some is the weight. Its pretty heavy even without the scope mounted on it, luckily you can put a sling on it which really helps with carrying it around especially when hunting. The weight dose help for steady aiming when shooting standing up. For the price its totally worth it. Shoots well and consistent after the break in period. This rifle is big and well crafted so expect this to be in your collection for a long time. Great gun well worth the buy
