I Like The Wood Stock and the Weight is OK.
Things I would have changed:Make It Easier to mount a scope.

This is a time tested classic design.
Things I would have changed:I prefer the older models (original Sheridan) where the spring actuated safety is located on the butt near the natural placement of your thumb.

i have a c9 benjarmin (.20) what is the best maintenance, oil, and how frequency?
I'm comparing the current CB9 (.20) with the Benjamin 392 (.22) to determine which to get. The two look nearly identical but I notice the 392 is about $40 cheaper. I have .22 pellets on hand, so I'm inclined to go that way. However, if the CB9 is better made and would last longer, I would consider buying it. I would probably use the gun for target shooting, squirrel hunting, and maybe an occasional woodchuck. Other than caliber, are there substantial differences between these guns?
Not really, the .20 cals were just rarer.

The Blue Streak is a timeless gem... The sweetest air rifle I've ever held, fired and/or owned.
Things I would have changed:Bring back the Blue Streak! Bring back the .20! Make it like it was originally made... with the same quality, pride and precision. This Crosman version isn't half the rifle that my late-90s Benjamin version is, and the late 90s Benjamin version isn't half the rifle compared to my "toggle-safety" (1970?) pure Sheridan! That said...
What others should know:I think that I got the last NIB Sheridan Blue Streak CB9 in the warehouse! How it happened, I do not know. I'm keeping this one in storage and it will remain NIB.
