Things I liked: This rifle exhibits the overall fine quality of Mendoza air rifles with a rich blued finish, accuracy, and their famous two-bladed trigger. The short cocking stroke is light, as well as the recoil, and would be well suited for younger shooters. Don't let the low cost affect your interest, as the M-8 is a quality piece of work, and an excellent introduction to Mendoza air rifles.
Things I would have changed: Nothing, since it functions and shoots fine just as it is.
What others should know: My rifle likes H&N Excite Hammer pellets. Refer to Robert's review regarding pulling the trigger after loading with the safety ON to have an easier trigger pull - it works.
Things I liked: Value for $75 is excellent. Good looking rifle. I love not having glow sights which are useless for target shooting. Very pellet type sensitive for POI (Point of Impact where the pellet hits target). I'm okay with that because it is fun to find a specific pellet that delivers better than expected accuracy. I added an inexpensive X-Ring barrel vibration device and inexpensive Tune In A Tube. I know about the barrel pivot design and plan to treat this rifle gently in the cocking motion. The trigger is wonderful, just like Air Venturi Bronco. Robert
Things I would have changed: Nothing for this price.
What others should know: This deal is a diamond in the rough.
Things I liked: This gun was a pleasure to shoot at first as it was easy to cock and very accurate but after about 100 shots it started shooting all over the place and I found the barrel could be moved sideways by about a 1/16 inch at the muzzle brake end of barrel with very little effort so it was returned for a refund
Things I would have changed: Use a threaded barrel pivot retaining screw instead of a press fit pin so the barrel can be tightened up after the initial break in period or insure that the pivot pin design will not loosen with use.
What others should know: This is a wonderful all day fun shooting and easy cocking gun but needs a redesign on the barrel pivot or I just got a lemon as mine loosened up after 100 shots and was no longer an accurate fun gun to shoot as I could not hit the same targets it was hitting when first received.
