Own the range indoors or outdoors with the Dragonfly from Seneca.

The Dragonfly’s traditional styling, affordability, and stunning accuracy make this airgun a prized shooter for beginners and those looking for a rock solid multi-pump. Featuring a lightweight frame, the Dragonfly is easy to handle for shooters of all ages. Its finely crafted beech stock is slim yet sturdy in the hand and features easy to grasp checkering on the grip.

To start shooting, cock the Dragonfly and pump up 3-8 times per shot to find the perfect fps for indoor home ranges and long-range outdoor shooting. Full-powered shots can reach speeds of 800 fps in .177 or 630 fps in .22 caliber—velocities ideal for small game hunting and blasting targets in your backyard. Each Dragonfly keeps the next shot on deck with a self-indexing magazine that holds 7 rounds in .22 or 9 in .177. Cock the bolt-action, pump up, shoot, and cock the action again to load up the next round. For placing precision shots, each rifle features a single-shot tray. For sights, each Dragonfly includes a blade and ramp style front sight and an adjustable rear sight for shooting straight out of the box. If you prefer to bring your targets in close, add a scope to the 11mm Dovetail rail.

All-in-all, the Dragonfly is a quality crafted traditional multi-pump repeater done right. The sooner you get your hands on one, the sooner you can set-‘em-up and knock-‘em-down!

Things I liked:

Very nice wood stock, all metal parts and very good accuracy. Power level is quite a bit above a Crossman 2100.

Things I would have changed:

The stain on the pump forearm doesn't quite match the stain on the rest of the stock (a couple shades lighter). The bluing on the barrel and pump tube is a bit blotchy, but this is the pellet gun Ruger would make if they made one.

What others should know:

A Tasco 4X32 scope fits very nice on this airgun and there is room for the rotary magazine with this scope.

Things I liked:

The action is very tight and clean. Like many have said this will remind you of a Benjamin or Sheridan with a better trigger. Very accurate although you do have to make sure the rear sight leaf is vertical when you finish making an adjustment. The fit and finish is outstanding throughout. Some have said this is loud but I dont think so. I have no complaints.

Things I would have changed:

I am going to add a barrel band on the front when I can find one available. It does not seem to affect accuracy, my concern is using it in the field where it may get handled rough.

What others should know:

Due to pumping effort required this one is not for kids or adults with limited upper body strength.

  • oats from USA asked:

Any firm date on when the Seneca Butterfly may be released ?

    • Mark from USA answered:

We co not have any hard release date at this time for the Seneca Butterfly.

  • Charlz from USA asked:

I notice that the Seneca Dragonfly is progressively harder to pump after 3 pumps. It becomes a real chore after 5 pumps. Has anyone tested the fps with a Ballistic Precision Chronograph after 3 pumps, 5 pumps, and 8 pumps?

    • Charlz from USA asked:

How long will the Dragonfly hold its pressure if pumped 8 times (max)? I understand that it should hold pressure for a day of tracking small game. But will it hold pressure overnight, for a weekend, or for a week, like a PCB? If left charged for a week, and it is pumped one more time to assure the Dragonfly is at full-power, will this be damaging for the rifle?

      • Mark from USA answered:

Leaving a full charge in the gun for extended periods is not good for the gun. For long term storage 2-3 pumps will keep the seals tight. So 2-3 pumps is fine to keep the gun primed.
