Unlike a standard air pistol, the Hatsan Jet II Convertible PCP Pistol can change into an air rifle because it comes with a removable synthetic stock. It features lead pellet velocities of up to 788 FPS in .177, 700 FPS in .22, and 608 FPS in .25 for plinking, target practice, or light pest control with the higher-caliber models.
The difference between this air pistol and most others is the ability to attach the removable synthetic stock to the top and bottom of the rear of the ergonomic textured pistol grip. That allows it to be used as a compact air rifle for better control and stability, or as a light and convenient pellet pistol with the stock removed.
The Hatsan Jet II utilizes an added 40cc air cylinder in addition to the first 40cc cylinder that the other model includes for double the capacity and double the number of shots within 85% of peak velocity. Both air cylinders fill to 3,625 PSI to deliver up to 48 shots in .177, 42 in .22, and 30 in .25, so a single fill will provide a generous amount of shooting time.
This airgun provides accurate shots without added equipment because it has a flip-up fiber optic front sight, an additional flip-up sight in front of the magazine, and a flip-up fiber optic rear sight. It also offers an 11mm dovetail optics rail for optics such as scopes or dot sights, and a side Picatinny accessory rail for items including lasers and lights.

Things I would have changed:Get a Umarex Notos unless you want to waste your money for a hunk of cheap brittle plastic that doesn't shoot.
What others should know:I received the the gun and initial inspection, it's seemed as if it was a used item. Closer inspection, I noticed it had tooling marks all through the barrel and was seeping oil through the receiver. First shots confirmed that the barrel was indeed damaged. Pellets were erratic and it was impossible to sight in with stock sights. Would not hit paper 10 feet away. Sent in for a replacement, which was a huge pain. The replacement arrived and behold, the gun was in the same exact condition. They advertise the gun having a top picc/dovetail rail, but it is just a faux rail. The picatinny slots are too small and the dovetail is too deep to mount anything on it. When trying to mount on the pic rail, they immediately broke off with next to no pressure. After contacting Kadden at HatsanUSA and explaining it's condition, I asked for refund and immediately was denied. I was told that I modified the gun (the pieces that broke). The then offed to work on it for $50/hr. This gun is a scam STAY AWAY

I am trying to remove my Hatsan Jet 2 air cylinders to install my new extra air cylinder. Could you send me the procedure. PS this procedure should be in every Hatsan Jet 2 new air cylinder box.
Shoot the Jet I till the pressure is about 1/4 full, then just unscrew it by grasping it & turning counter clockwise. It takes a good grip & some effort to unscrew. Then shoot it a few times to release any air in the gun. There's a screw on the bottom of the Picatinny rail that needs to be unscrewed to be able to remove the rail. There is another screw beneath that screw that you need to loosen just until you can remove the block/valve assembly. Then insert your dual tube block (being careful to not damage the O-ring as the block moves past the opening of the transfer port) and tighten that "under screw." Reattach the Picatinny rail with the first screw you unscrewed & you're ready to go!

This was a gift for my grandson. He is 3 and can shoot like an adult hunter. I tried to silicone grease all the orings and seal points but it still had a slow leak. Went from 2900 to 2400 over night. I had two that had this problem. I couldve sent it back to Hatsan I guess but ended up just returning it. I ordered a Diana Bandit and a Buck Rail rifle conversion kit with a huma regulator and made a small sniper rifle for him instead. I have taken many rabbits and a few squirrels with mine. He loves the fact he had a mini sniper like papa. Im sorry I couldnt help more. If you want to keep the Jet, maybe send it in to Hatsan to fix the problem.
