Things I liked:everything about this scope screams value.... everything i was looking for in an air rifle scope down to the smallest detail. this is the EXACT same scope as the leapers but seems to work much better than any of the leapers scopes i bought, see my review on those scopes for further info before buying. oh, and the centerpoint has a much better lense coating system than the leapers for the exact same price.
Things I would have changed:the only thing i would chhange at all about these scopes is adding the 2.5 inch sun shade leapers offers with their exact same model. other than that, so far this scope seems perfect
What others should know:if you buy this scope, your going to need HIGH scope mounts.... the objective lense is 40mm but the outside of the objective bell measures about 52mm because of the AO ring and measures right around 60mm with the flip open lense caps installed. DO NOT think you can get by with medium profile scope mounts with this scope. i just wish i had originaly bought this scope and had never wasted 4 months of my time and gone through 4 RMA processes with the inferior leapers scopes that i recieved.

    Things I liked:Everything!
    Things I would have changed:???
What others should know:This is the second scope of this model. The first scope's elevation adjustment wouldn't work and neither does this one. Reordered a different brand!

Things I liked:The CenterPoint 3-9x40 AO strikes me as a product made to meet a price point rather than meet certain performance standards. In researching this review, I found it for sale from $50 to $150. That's an oddly wide price range, and I think you can do better than the CenterPoint at the upper end of that range (more about that later).
Things I would have changed:Whether or not you like this scope may be based on how much you paid for it. If price was your main concern and you are just doing back-yard plinking, you may be satisfied with the CenterPoint. At under, say, $70 it gets the job done. If you are willing to spend more than $70 for this scope, I think you can do better. The scope seems serviceable enough for casual shooting. The optics are not as clear as I would like, but they do transmit a decent image as long as there is enough ambient light. In dim light the image disappears, and the lit reticle did not seem to help. I liked the mil-dot reticle and the caps on the windage and elevation adjustments. I did not try water or shock tests.
What others should know:For about twice the CeterPoint's lowest price (but still within its price range), I much prefer the UTG/Leapers 3-12x44AO Accushot SWAT scope. (Check out my review.)

Things I liked:Nice and bright in low artificial lighting. I like the fact that it will focus under 7yds.The old scopes I have couldn't go under 20 yards.
Things I would have changed:The lighted reticle is nice but too brigh at the lowest settings for night or very low lighting. Add the the sun shade like the Leapers scope. I think they might come from the factory.
What others should know:More eye relief and a lower setting for the reticle.

Things I liked:Adjustable objective, Red/Green dual illuminated reticle
Things I would have changed:Flip open lens covers are useless with AO adjustment, normal lens covers would be an improvement. More eye relief ~ 4 in.
What others should know:Not a bad value. Seems to hold adjustments well. Holding up very well on a high powered springer.

Things I liked:Picture is unbelievably clear which makes it very easy to find your range, illuminated reticle stays crisp even at the brightest levels, locking and zero reset turrets are a big plus. Mine came with lens caps but I'll talk about those later Came with a chart to find range with the mil-dots!!
Things I would have changed:The hinge on the front lens cap touched my receiver when it was turned so it couldn't be adjusted all the way. Not really the scope to blame, just get high mounts when you order this scope. The caps come right off so it's no problem
What others should know:Slapped this badboy into the weavers on my Trail XL and had it dialed in after about 15 pellets, and it's stayed dialed in so it can handle the ultra magnum recoil. The chart provided is awesome, the X axis is target size in inches, and Y axis is how many mildots across/tall/etc the target is at 9x. Match em up and that's your distance. It's too bad I can't use the lens caps but on the other hand I prefer my scope as close to the gun as possible. This is a killer deal, a scope of this quality could easily go for as much as double what they're asking

Things I liked:Very clear when sighting in. Love the lock screws. Placed on a RWS D52 have been able to shoot sub 1/2 inch groups.
      Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:This is a high quality scope, without the quality price. Wind-age and elevation adjustments are easy to calculate and adjust for accuracy.

Things I liked:Image clarity is so clear and crisp that now I don't have to use my binoculars to see the pellet impact on the target. In my opinion, it is quality product at a reasonable price. I haven't been able to use to green or the red illumination on the cross hairs but they also look very sharp and clear. Accuracy with my Gamo Whisper went from very good to excellent, with most of the shots one over the other.
Things I would have changed:The front of the scope is so close to my rifle front sight, that I had to elimininate the use of the front lens cover (protector), really, not a big issued at all.
What others should know:I am very, but very satisfied with my Center Point illuminated 3x9x40. It can not compare to the scope that came with my rifle. What I have learned is that whenever possible, I will buy future rifles without a scope. I will then buy a telescope that will cover my shooting needs and expectations. Will I buy in the future another Center Point scope, the answer is yes.

Things I liked:This scope has excellent focus adjustmentsand clarity from 7.5 yds to infinity. The windage and elevation knobs are precise and can be locked in place after zeroing and I do not think they will shoot loose with hard use. I have this scope mounted on a RWS model 48 in .22 cal. I bought this scope 3 months ago and wanted to put at least 1000 pellets through the rifle before evaluating the scope. I would have rated this scope 5 stars , but the illuminated reticle is too bright for night shooting even at the lowest settings.
Things I would have changed:I shoot this rifle at very low light settings at night settings to kill rats. The glare back from the reticle makes it very difficult to see your target (rats ) even at the lowest setting. I would like to see a setting at least two notches lower than what is available.
What others should know:For the money this is a great buy. I have purchased scopes costing twice this much with illuminated reticles that were not designed for springer air guns and they have ALL failed internally at about 2000 to 2500 shots . If you shoot at very low level light use the red reticle as it has less glare back than the green. I am currently using a high intensity tactical flash light attached to my rifle with the illuminated reticle turned off ,but it spooks the rats.I will be researching the possibility of using some sort of red varmint type filter on my flash light or maybe a battery ( this scope uses size 2032 three volt battery) the same size, but with a lower voltage rating to dim the reticle to where it is usable for my application. If you have never shot with an illuminated reticle scope you will find that if the reticle can NOT be dimmed low enough, you will be blinded by the glare back and cannot see where to place your reticle on your target. This scope at dusk with the illuminated reticle is OK, but pretty much useless in very low light use.
