    Things I liked:

Wow. Just wow! I am free now.

    Things I would have changed:

It is probably too fast, air tank gets too hot while feeling it, I need to stop and spend some time to make sure it cools down and continue the process. If there was a possibility to drop fill speed by 30% and drop noise by 50% I would be in. Of course hour meter is really needed.

    What others should know:

Are you still thinking to buy it? What are you waiting for? A signal from the sky? Stop it. Just buy it. You will not regret.

    Things I liked:

The unit seems to be heavy duty. I just got it and so far I've done the break-in run and filled a couple of 4500 PSI tanks. It's quieter than I expected but, I still use it outside. When I stopped and then restarted at 3000 psi, I had to purge the line to restart and finish to 4500 psi. No issues so far and I don't expect any. I would but this again! I'm now converting my paintball setup to HPA from CO2 to leverage my investment.

    Things I would have changed:

    None, so far.

    What others should know:

I plan to fill my 4500 psi tanks and then use them to fill my pcp guns.

    Things I liked:

The compressor is fast, not too noisy and well built. It does the job for which it was made. Very simple to use and it looks good too.

    Things I would have changed:

I see a lot of people complaining that it doesn't have an hour meter. To me that is a non issue. Yes, they could've installed one for a couple of bucks. If you want to buy one yourself, a Hobbs hour meter is about $10 on Ebay. You would need to wire it in. I solved it by buying a vibration hour meter and it works great. Like the name says it, you stick it to your compressor and the vibration makes it work. The pressure release is ridiculous. It splatters water and oil all over the place. They need to do a better job in that area.

    What others should know:

Ok, here's a lesson I learned. I started to fill up my carbon fiber tanks and the temperature was going from 35 to 97 in 3 minutes. The compressor would literally shut down every 3 minutes due to over heat. I read James review on this page and he provided a great piece of information. There was air in the cooling lines. I got rid of that and it improved a little. It was still shutting down every 4 minutes. It was really disappointing and frustrating. I was ready to call PA and give them a piece of my mind. After thinking and doing some research online, I decided to change the antifreeze that I had filled the tank with (50/50) and replaced it with water. Eureka. Now the temperature never goes above 65 to 70 and it doesn't shut down the compressor. Do not use antifreeze. It's too heavy and oily for the little pump inside the tank and it hardly pumps it through and it takes longer to cool down. The antifreeze was coming back into the tank still hot. Water is perfect at least for summer.

    Things I liked:

I like that everything you need comes along with this machine. AND IT'S FAST!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Like everyone else says...it needs an hour meter.

    What others should know:

If you are debating on the Freedom Shoebox or this Air Venturi.... I have both and this one is the better one, plus my Shoebox hasn't worked after the first initial fill of my tanks. This Air Venturi has all you need (except for the hour meter of course) and it comes with spare parts which is a plus compared to the Shoebox which comes with nothing (not even a fill hose).

    Things I liked:

This thing is a total bargain and will make your life better, especially if you bought an unregulated Marauder in .25. It is an excellent value. The package as it arrives is complete and no additional fittings were needed. Just add oil and water. It even has a male/male fitting so I could backfill my scuba tank with my existing fill hose. (I also was somewhat intrigued and entertained by the brilliant cardboard packaging.)

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to know a more exact specification for the oil. Most compressors and vacuum pumps mandate a specification from the manufacturer. I want maximum life and don't care what the oil costs if it will make a difference. The attitude with this is that it doesn't much matter... use a diesel motor oil or a mineral oil, petroleum based or synthetic, or whatever. (I'm pretty sure it does matter). On this site it is said to use a motor oil but the instructions also mention to use a compressor oil, which are a mineral oil. It will be interesting to see what kind of life individuals get from one lubricant or another over time when rebuilds come up.

    What others should know:

I looked at the market for a long time and nearly bought a Bauer, Daystate, an Omega, or that Italian job at various times but couldn't pull the trigger because they each lacked something. This one has reasonably high volume output, it's not quiet but better than I expected, it's compact and reasonably portable, runs on 110v, has auto shut-off, and it's still cheaper than all the others, none of which can check all those boxes. Other than waiting 3 months for delivery, I can't be more satisfied. If there is a shortcoming I don't know what it is.

    Things I liked:

This is a very well built machine. I have had it for about 2 months and so far not a moments problem. Mine fills an empty 88 cu ft SCBA in 52 minutes. 3000 to 4500 in about 15 minutes.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked an hour meter. Other than that I would not change a thing.

    What others should know:

With the backing of Pyramid, a company I have trusted for years, I just think this is the way to go with what seems like a flooded market and price of fills going up everywhere.

    Things I liked:

Super fast easy to operate and maintain love the auto shut-off and temp gauge best of all is customer service I've had a lot of questions not problems but questions and they have answered all of them to my satisfaction which isn't easy to do you I expect a lot

    Things I would have changed:

I would add a some some type of filter to catch the oil and water that comes from the pressure release valve super messy even with towel to absorb water and oil it mostly just redirects the air so the water and oil goes everywhere the one thing I would change is the pressure gauge I would like to see a more precise reading pressure gauge also since maintenance depends on hourly usage it would be nice to have an hourly counter also I have some suggestions on the water and oil catch for the pressure release if interested please inquire

    What others should know:

I am being honest it is loud in my opinion not indoor friendly yes you can have a conversation with it running but you would have to talk over it also it emits an odor I'm told that this is the gaskets breaking in and should go away after the break-in. Pressure release is a lot messier than manual describes even with cardboard and Rags underneath I would not do over a rug hardwood floor okay best to be outside the other thing you need to know is this thing is fantastic it is a must-have for the air Gunner even if you don't shoot a lot it will pay for itself in the long run for example you're not bound by store hours you don't have to wait in the line you don't have to leave your bottles overnight you don't have to worry about Hot fills not to mention the gas aggravation and time you save yourself which adds up to more time shooting super happy with my decision to purchase

    Things I liked:

I like that it takes care of all my air needs from the smallest to the biggest scuba tanks and carbon fire bottles also that it is easy to use and maintain and super fast the one I got is actually a little bit faster than the manual says also customer service has been 100% they've had an answer to every question that I presented to them

    Things I would have changed:

I would have put some type of box with a filter to catch the oil and water coming from the pressure release valve or a drain tube extending into a box with a filter even with a rag put under release oil and water go everywhere tried several different techniques mostly it's just redirect the air in a different direction spreading oil and water everywhere also since maintenance is scheduled on hourly use they should have put an hourly counter on this is nitpicking but it would be nice to have a more precise reading gauge

    What others should know:

these are minor issues in my book and not a deal-breaker. it is louder than I thought it was going to be ,based on advertisement also it emits a smell ( this I'm told should go away after break in it is gaskets breaking in) also pressure release is very messy they do caution you in the manual but it is messier than they say other thing you should know is this is God's gift to air gunners even if you are just a part-time shooter this is a must-have definitely will pay for itself in the long run it just saves you in so many ways for example I could never get my scuba guy to fill my tanks to the specified PSI it was always under by 500 PSI or there main tanks weren't charged with air, you're not bound by store hours not to mention the gas and time that it takes to go back and forth to get your tanks filled and no waiting in line for other people's tanks to get filled these are just some examples I could go on and on but ultimately it is up to you

    Things I liked:

I like the overall design compared to other competitors. It much quieter than expected that you can use it in the home with minimum disturbance. It is very easy to operated and to maintain. There are panels on all sides to help protect form damage to vital components and yourself. It is very portable for one person and easier with two. Most of all the price is right compared to other models.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to have a digital gauge instead of the analog one.

    What others should know:

Please follow instructions completely before operating.

    Things I liked:

The compressor comes to your door by truck and is very well packaged. It works great and it is nice to have a unlimited supply of air. Now I want to let everybody know about one thing to look out for. Watch out for air in the cooling lines.Do not put the covers back on the compressor during initial start up. There maybe air in the cooling lines you will see this right away 2 ways 1 temp rises super fast 2 air in the cooling lines. I used a myty vac to suck the air out. Attach your mity vac to the cylinder on the coolant side and pump the air out. You will know when the air is gone just by looking. When you start pumping air into your tank the temp. should be around 68c. Have fun and shoot safe.

    Things I liked:

This compressor can fill a 98 CF tank from zero to 4500 PSI in one hour. I know, because I timed it.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions could be a little better, such as there was no mention of the bleed valve knob needing to be installed and no mention of the purpose of the supplied spanner wrench, which by the way is for tightening the output filter casing. Many have been commenting about the lack of instructions for overhaul, most especially since a seal and parts kit is supplied. Access to disassembly and assembly instructions would certainly be appreciated.

    What others should know:

The basic maintenance of this compressor is pretty easy, but I would strongly recommend that unless you really know what you are doing that you do not attempt to overhaul this unit yourself. If you are comfortable with rebuilding a small block Chevy engine, you should have no real problem with this, however a lack of proper disassembly and assembly instructions or any torque information makes this a more difficult task.

The compressor works great, it's water cooled for longer run time and life

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

Very fast. Side panels are nice. Filter system works great.

    Things I would have changed:

Need hour gauge. Fast setup instructions like those found with TVS and Computer Printers. An included cup for the oil (i.e. fill cup to line) so as not to over fill.

    What others should know:

Even though you can hold a conversatio with it on, it is load. Not for in home but for garage use. Will need hearing protection during prolonged use. It is heavy especially if one has any back injuries or issues. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=czuxl7XBT6Y

    Things I liked:

It came in 4 days weekend included. The box that it's packaged in is very well made for protection. It took 65 minutes to fill my 88 Cubic Ft. carbon fiber tank from 0- 4500. So that's not bad at all. Temp. Was 68 -75

    Things I would have changed:

Hour meter so you can keep track of when it's time for oil changes as well as filter changes.

    What others should know:

Buy it you won't regret it !!!!! Also my sound meter says 70db not loud in my book . It seems to like Mobil 1 5w-40 full Synthetic. I picked up some purple ice because it has great protection against corrosion. One other thing Pyramyd Air Rocks !!!

    Things I liked:

Compact, well designed and was easy to set up. Runs quiet and sounds strong and well built.

    Things I would have changed:

A more complete manual for any O-ring replacements and other maintenance as need with use. I also wish there had been a better way to ship this item out, I had a hard time keeping track of the item thru shipment. It eventually showed up in good shape but took nearly 3 weeks to get to me. I would have paid a extra to ship with FedEx if at all possible.

    What others should know:

Just keep a close eye on your gun or tank while filling it fills a good rate when filling your gun direct.

    Things I liked:

I'm really looking forward to receiving this compressor. I like that I will be able to fill my Air Venturi Carbon Fiber tank in a short time period and also b3e able to fill my Sumatra 2500 directly.

    Things I would have changed:

Hopefully the compressor can be lifted in that it appears to have the slots for doing so on the side.

    What others should know:

I for one find it amazing that anyone would have any confidence in the use of a Hand Pump.. I have a $200.00 hand Pump and it is absolutely worthless.

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I like everything about this compressor! Everything is very easy to access and the instructions are relatively easy to follow.

    Things I would have changed:

Certainly would revise the instructions to mention the pressure knob installation a lot earlier than after telling you run the unit for 10 minutes before you actually begin to fill your tanks. It took me a few minutes to figure out what I was missing.

    What others should know:

There's no way around it, but it is noisy - but worth it if you're not into pumping a hand pump!
