This was my first pump. The price of this pump was my deciding factor, BIG mistake! You cannot get repair parts for it,yes it comes with some parts but the parts i need replaced cannot be found, you can have a machine shop make the part but that cost more. I highly suggest finding a pump that repair parts are actually easy to find. My results on this is a Hill pump which according to my research is the only pump with repair parts readily available. My rating and value reflect my dissatisfaction with this pump.

I would change the whole thing altogether, i got a a defect.

I ordered this pump for my pcp rifle and from the beginning it was pumping air too slow or barely pumping at all.After a few months of use.It wouldnt pump at all no matter how hard i tried.Finally i tried to dissassemble it to try and fix it. But its sealed waaaaay too tight.I still cant fix it to this day. And my warranty is gone.

This pump is built solid.After reading all the other reviews on the different pumps I decided to go with this one.When it came to how hard it was going to be to use this pump I was already prepared after reading others reviews.I try not to let my rifle (Marauder),get under 2000 psi.When it gets to that level it usually takes about 50 pumps to get it up to 3000 psi again.I found that it wasn't as hard as others were saying to pump up my rifle.I am 225 lbs in weight and if I bend at the knees and put my full weight down on the shaft,it is not so bad.

Relocate the holding pin which is located on the base of the shaft.

(Like others said before me),you have to be careful with a holding pin on the base of the pump (which holds the pumping shaft secure to the base for transporting purposes),when pumping your rifle.If not you can damage it on the down-stroke of pumping your rifle.Many customers complain about the length of the hose being too short and wishing it was longer.I think it was designed that way as a safety measure.The hose holds extremely high pressure and if it was any longer ,and "Murphy's Law" came into play,than some serious injury can be expected with that high pressure hose whipping around.

this is a heavy duty pump i use mine in conjunction with a scuba tank. i use the pump to fill the part the tank cant reach. my technique is 30 pumps counting the bottom strokes and i let the pump rest this way the pump does not heat up beyuond normal. i look at the pump like part of my workout with weigths its not easy but something that requires technique.

the steel button that hold the upper part of the pump closed for storage will jam when hit on . nothing that affects the funtion of the pump to build pressure it like something overseen by the manufacturers.

eat you cheerios this baby get heavy after 2500 nothing impossible if you use your straight arm and body weigth helps if your 170# -good luck

Extremely well made, heavy & durable

Fills my AA400 very fast. Feels sturdy, and I like the desiccant in the handle. It also included spare parts and o-rings for fittings.

It needs a larger base plate.

Mine was poorly packed and had huge scuffs in the paint on the base and barrel of the pump. I contacted pyramydair but I would have to pay to ship it back. I don't like getting damaged merchandise and I don't like having to pay to get it fixed.

Effective.

Gets pretty tiring if doing much shooting. Pretty expensive to have as a backup to a scuba tank and transfer valve. Scuba tank refills are the way to go.

heavy duty,seems to be well made.gauge easy to read,large foot plate.hose longer than most.

retaining pin can get caught on pump tube if you are not careful.it will bend if it does.when is the industry going to standardize fill fittings?had to buy 30.00 dollars of fittings to use it on all my pcp's thats a female quick coupler for the pump and a male quick coupler for the gun probe.

take your time,don't over heat your pump.just about any pump can be damaged if you over work it.

Wish I could say something nice about this product , but sadly I can't Ordered Marauder from another source. Got the pump weeks before rifle showed up. That was a plus. After initial fill of tank, I top charged 5-6 times before complete pump failure. I am very disappointed in this product JB

Heavy duty. Seems well made.

Put a swivel at the pump end of the hose. The knob/catch that holds the pump closed when not in use, bent. A re-look at the design might be in order.

The pump is a little awkward getting hooked up to my Marauder. It looks like this is probably an issue with other pumps. The short hose makes for faster fill, but tougher hook up.

It seems well made and heavy duty, tooless assembly of base and handle, air intake is located in the handle, locking handle for transport.

Not a big deal, but gauge is only marked in BAR, 207 Bar equals 3000psi so 200 Bar is close enough.

I bought this to replace the one that came with my Discovery since I toasted it. My fault pumping to fast and long. This one seems to be more heavy duty and weighs a little more in comparison. The tooless assembly and break down and location of the air intake make it a good choice to take into the field. I needed to order a foster adapter for 1/8 BSPP, I think my other pump is 1/8 NPT. I toasted my old pump, it's important to use a firm, steady, deliberate pace and limit pumping sessions to five minutes pumping and fifteen minutes cooling inbetween, don't allow the pump to heat up.

The G4 hand pump is built solid. Pyramyd Air stands behind their product.

The manufacture needs to make sure to remove all burrs after their machining operation. This could eliminate the possibility of future o ring failures.

I would recommend the G4 hand pump for your PCP air rifle. Follow the instructions and take your time when filling your gun and I believe the G4 pump will last for a long time.

Easy setup, installation. Easy to use. Of course there is not much to this as it is an air pump.

I would change the small locking "pin" that hold the pump handle down. A better design would be simple enough and is needed.

I have had this pump for a few weeks now and it works very well. The gauge does not match what my Evanix AR6 shows... but I really could care less. One should remember the locking pin and the design there of. If you do not pay attention you will push down and pull back up then bend the pin as I did. Also, you may need to add some thread tape to stop the air from leaking around the air hose fittings. Very small issue and quickly fixable.

Looks nice, easy to put together and well priced. Hose is included with 1/8 BSPP threads.

Include instruction mine came with none. Filling gauge needs to be replaced, relocated or redesigned.

Warning! The first time you use this pump wear some eye protection. I'm not sure if my unit was defective or if there is a design flaw with this pump that will require a recall. The plastic cover that protects the fill gauge shot off hitting me in the face extremely hard. Lucky for me my face was slightly tilted or I could have possibly lost an eye. Snapped it back on and covered it with a rag, sure enough it popped off again. Returned the pump for a refund getting a BSA/Hill instead.
