One came with the rifle but if you are not watching the magazine closely you can find yourself out of ammo just when you need one more shot. That is why I bought 3 more magazines.

Once properly loaded with spring tension appropriately set, this magazine functions as advertised.

A complete reengineering of this ridiculously cheap product for a fairly expensive rifle.

Unless you get lucky, plan on spending anywhere from 30 to 240 minutes watching a couple of detailed YouTube instructional lectures on how to load, fix, disassemble, and reassemble this pathetic excuse for a magazine. There is one gentleman who does a painstaking amateur YouTube job of teaching the owner how to take the magazine apart and change the spring angle so that tension is maintained. This is not a big deal if you are a minimum wage server at McDonald's, but after spending almost $1000 on a rifle one should be put on notice that you are going to spend another two hours trying to figure out how to fix and operate the magazines. Utterly ridiculous.

Compact size, reasonable cost and ease of loading.

Pretty good as is but occasionally they fail to properly advance the next pellet resulting in failure to load. Maybe once every two loadings. One has to learn the feel of a pellet chambering vs not as it can be easy to shoot blanks or worse stack pellets if not careful.

Read magazine loading instructions as winging it may result in malfunctions and added labor.

This is only a fair design and in my opinion should be better, I had two of these things break on me. The spring came out of the back of it.

Pyramid Air handled my complaint very quickly and efficiently. Great folks to do business with. Don't get me wrong the maraude r is an excellent air rifle and I'm very happy with mine.

These magazines work well on my Marauders.

It would be handy, if the magazine could be remove, filled with a total to 9 pellets, and then leave the first pellet slot empty. Then the rifle could be un-cocked without firing a pellet. This would allow the gun to have a almost full magazine (pellets) the next time the rifle is used.
