    Things I liked:

Quality of the parts, Right tool for the job. Stacy Kicks butt.

    Things I would have changed:

The Piston pump seal Part number 5 was not correct as is for my 1969 Benjamin 342.

    What others should know:

Part number 5 the air pump seal required drilling a .25 inch hole in the centre of the part in order to install on my piston. Lead seals are a pain.

    Things I liked:

Quality parts, detailed schematic, and step-by-step instructions

    Things I would have changed:

Add instruction re:replacement of the gas seal on the bolt, particularly removal of the bolt retaining pin

    Things I liked:

I liked the savings of a do it yourself repair kit with instructions.

    Things I would have changed:

I would add cautionary notes with the instructions to help prevent damaging mistakes.

    What others should know:

Great care must be taken to avoid cross threading of the fine threaded seal retaining chamber plug.

    Things I liked:

rubber plunger replacement did the trick on my ancient "Silver Streak"

    Things I would have changed:

did not need the entire kit. instructions could have been better if not a print of a print. did not need entire kit.just rubber plunger.a little expensive for the whole kit.

    Things I liked:

To find the kit was unbelievible. I was very appriciative for the response. One small thing that is actually inconsequenstial is that the small spring that goes froward of the mechanism and behing the one way value was not in the kit as it is pictured in the picture that shows the kit. No matter as using the original spring has shown no problems. Also one of the gaskets was also missing but one was made from gasket material. I appreciated the service.....

    Things I would have changed:

The schemetic was wanting and could be more explicite.

    What others should know:

Can't take the value apart unless the screw that holds the stock to the rifle is removed from the value body cylinder.

    Things I liked:

A great product. Had some problem understanding instructions but called Pyramyd Air and Stacy one of thier techs was extremely helpful and even sent me an O ring to replace a part that fell apart at no charge. Thank you Stacy and Pyramyd Air for all your help. Dave

    Things I would have changed:

Instructions and add O ring to the kit. Number 26 on instruction sheet and stretch it over back of the valve guide if needed it works. A bit of a chore getting on.

    What others should know:

Ask for O ring # 26 when ordering kit you may need it.

    Things I liked:

The repair kit made my Benjamin Airgun, that is approximately 60 years old, shoot like new.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions are minimal. It would be helpful if they were more detailed and better print quality, instead of what appears to be a copy of a copy of a copy .... The instructions does not say anything about cleaning the air chamber before reassembling the parts, but it should caution you that it must be clean.

    What others should know:

The first time I assembled the parts the gun would not pump up. I took it apart again and throughly cleaned the air chamber and reassembled it. I rolled a rag around a scrub brush to get the right diameter to clean the different size chambers. After doing that the gun pumps up great. It is important to spray some bore cleaner in the air chamber and then use a cleaning rod to clean it.

    Things I liked:

This is the correct kit for the Blue/Silver Streaks from the early 80's. The dissasembly tool is better than most and the parts look well made.

    Things I would have changed:

Kit lacked the rubber valve seal for some unknown reason. Would have been nice if some assembly lubricant was included. The insructions were useless, I used the diagram in my owners manual to help with the repair.

    What others should know:

Don't attempt this repair unless your mechanically inclined.

    Things I liked:

My Sheridan Blue Streak is so old it has a steel rod for a bolt handle and had the bluing worn off behind the rear sight by the time I got it used in 1967. Considering it's age, overall the kit parts were as close to the originals as I could have hoped for. Stacey was very helpful with suggestions on how to deal with the valve guide when it didn't want to pull out. The critically needed seals and piston cup from the kit have given my vintage Sheridan many more years of life. The included tool is a must have to take on this repair.

    Things I would have changed:

Adding some comments about what can be done to to help free the valve guide part 28 without risk of damaging anything if the guide seems stuck when first attempting to pull it out would be a big help, as wood a much clearer and larger exploded diagram. A note to indicate whether or not a slight difference in the length of the valve stem of part 31 and the original valve's stem would make any difference would be helpful.

    What others should know:

Be sure to clean up the edge of the valve seats in the end of the air chamber and on the end of the valve guide where the rubber seals contact before reassembly, and if the gun doesn't pump or hold air well at first and you cleaned everything the best you can and are sure you put everything back together properly, keep operating the mechansim occasionally and leave air in it if it pumps up any at all, and wait a day or two before going into panic mode. On my Blue Streak the stem of the piston valve, part 31 in the kit, is about 1/16" or so longer then the kit part because of a steel pin sticking out of the firing pin end that the kit part doesn't have. I removed the seal from the kit valve and after having the "fun" of digging out the hardened seal in the original valve I found the new seal was a perfect fit, and discovered the original valve stem and cup holding the seal are separate pieces. The kit spring part 23 feels slightly softer when squeezed then the original spring, so I didn't use it. The bolt on my Blue Streak is a simpler design then the bolt in the exploded diagram and doesn't have any O rings so I didn't need part 19.

    Things I liked:

I was able to repair my air rifle with this kit, thereby taking a piece of junk and restoring it into a useful rifle. Stacey (your support person) was very knowledgable and helpful, and her support and availablility made all the difference. I had to call 3 times with questions, to which she gave the answers that enabled me to complete the project.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions that came with the kit were minimal. The schematic of the gun could be clearer (larger, better picture). The total cost was $38 (including shipping). If it would have cost more than that, it might almost not pay to do the repair.

    What others should know:

I did this repair over about 5 days. Each day I set a goal: Getting the rifle apart, figuring out how the parts should go back, chatting it up with Stacey to see if I got it right, then finally reassembling the gun. This was a first time repair for me, and like many other things, once you know how, it isn't so bad!

    Things I liked:

The packaging was very good. Take your time to review the instructions closely and everything will come together flawlessly. I did make a call to the tech staff for clarification on a couple of parts that were included in the kit. With my Model 342, an O-ring and the rubber pump seal were not used. I did have the group send out the cup-shaped pump seal as that was one of the problems I had prior to the repair. This organization is very considerate and helpful.

    Things I would have changed:

In the enlarged view on the instructions, I would add the item numbers to correspond with the item numbers in the overall exploded view. Also, I would add some text indicating explicitly which parts are for which model rifle.

    What others should know:

If you take your time and review all of the instructions before you start the repair, you will get a better understanding of how to handle this repair. Including thoroughly cleaning ALL of the cavities and parts involved, it took me about 2 hours to do this repair (my rifle is old and was VERY dirty). Cleaning everything prior to rebuild will extend the life of all of the parts.

    Nothing.

    Things I would have changed:

Absolutely terrible instructions and schematics. I would not even really call them instructions. Unless you already know exactly what you are doing do not attempt this self repair.

    What others should know:

    Good luck with this product.

    Things I liked:

The kit worked to seal up my gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions were a bit vague. The diagram was helpful, but so grainy and degraded (like a copy of a copy of a copy etc.) that I kept second-guessing. I wound up taking it apart again and redoing it before I got it right. There should be a trouble-shooting list, too. I had leaks before I got it right.

    What others should know:

Polish the sealing surfaces in the high-pressure air chamber and the pumping chamber. I made swabs with dowels and paper towels, and scrubbed the inside with Barkeeper's friend, and then with Turtle Wax polishing compound. If there's any gunk in there it won't work. Has to be very, very clean.

    Things I liked:

It sealed up the gun fairly well; not perfectly, but enough to fire. I ran into a few problems, but they are most likely more attributed to my gun, and not the parts. This kit does work fairly well.

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions are not for a layman. They could be improved much more. I am very good at reading schematics, but the schematics they provide are too blown up; they need to focus more specifically on the valve chamber, and how the parts fit together, instead of focusing on the entire breakdown of the gun; some of those parts are not important for your task.

    What others should know:

You need to obtain the original schematic for your gun from the crosman website, and be familiar with the complete breakdown of your gun. If you are unfamiliar with the breakdown, and exact operation of your benjamin air gun, I promise you will have nothing but problems with this kit. This kit is only for those who know how the gun operates; that way you can figure out which seals go where.

    Things I liked:

The price is right to restore your old gun to new shooting condition.

    Things I would have changed:

It will take patients to get the parts back into the gun unless you get lucky like I did and the parts dropped into place the second try. A small tube would help to get the part number 30 in correct.

    What others should know:

The thin rubber washer shoud be replaced with something more realistic with less chance of damage. I replaced the washer with a #6 o-ring from the hardware store and it truely made the gun shoot harder than when it was new. Look out pesty critters

    Things I liked:

All the parts I needed were in this kit and the price was fair. This old Sheriden Silver streak is ready for many years of plinking.

    Things I would have changed:

The directions were a little lacking and the printout was a little hard to see.

    What others should know:

Be sure not to cross thread the screw that holds the soldered valve in. The lead washer will not seat if the screw is not threaded in correctly. Be sure to clean the air chamber with a 16 gauge shotgun swab to remove any foreign objects that could result in seal damage.

    Things I liked:

    The parts were new.

    Things I would have changed:

Schematics are very blurry - very difficult to read, especially if you have never torn one of these things down.

    What others should know:

DO NOT tear the paper thin rubber gasket -- it will cost you a new repair kit to replace.
