    Things I liked:

    Surprisingly good optic quality

    Things I would have changed:

    At this price point... nothing

    What others should know:

    An excellent value

    Things I liked:

This scope is mounted on my Marauder .177 cal, my daily shooter so to speak. The scope is clear and bright allowing shots to be taken late dusk or early dawn. Although the adjustment caps are easy to cross thread, with care they can be operated wearing shooting gloves. The adjustments themselves are a breeze to use. This scope allows for dime size patterns at 25 yards and one inch patterns at 50 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Sure wish we could make this in the USA!

    What others should know:

The Map 6 is great, I zero at 30 yards and adjust one mil-dot for every 5 feet. Great for hunting at varied distances.

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

Good scope, handy reticle. Easy to click knobs. Clear manual

    Things I would have changed:

Would like shades, for the eyepiece and objective. Scope covers rather than flip ups.

    What others should know:

Get chairgun and brc apps, for computer and/or mobile, with them you can map out trajectories

    Things I liked:

Everything so far... There's nothing so far that I don't that isn't excellent about this scope.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

I mounted this on my Theoben Crusader in .20. I've shot a lot of rounds with this combo and so far it holds zero and the optics are bright and clear. Also note that I do have the Dampa mount on my gun, but either way, i think this is a great scope for a spring or gas ram gun and I will be buying another.

    Things I liked:

my first scope. bright as mentioned. many adjustments. very nice...actually pretty cool just to look through.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing to my knowledge

    What others should know:

it takes a steady shot to hit the bullseye. i have a marauder and may adjust the trigger.

    Things I liked:

Airgun proof. Clear optics. Big, easy to use turrets. Nice reticle. Free BRC software. Reputation.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

I purchased this scope for my Diana 350 Magnum. So far so good. Comes with a good warranty.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Good, clear optics. Reticle and Mil-Dots are finely etched and thin enough to not obscure the target at long range

    Things I would have changed:

A side wheel focus knob would be great on these mid-range scopes

    What others should know:

Hawke scopes are a notch up in quality from the Leapers scopes. The optics are better and the adjustment knobs/rings are smoother. Good value for the money.

    Things I liked:

cotinuation of the below review, I ordered this Hawke 4x12 for my friend and sighted it in yesterday, today he came over and shot it.. After about 5 groups of five at 16 yards he said wow, this is almost cheating, his small group was 1/8 center to center using JSB Match Diabolo Exact .177 Cal, 8.4 Grains, Domed, 500ct From PA on the Beeman R1 20 years old the biggest groups were about 5/16 to 3/8 at the worst By the way he is 68 and I am 69

    Things I liked:

I ordered this one for a friend, I have the 2x7 power Hawke from PA on my RWS, what a difference, wish I had got this one, PA was a little slow shipping, took 26 hours from cleveland to Ypsilanti mi, It was put on a Beeman R1, old 20 years gun, used the Leapers Accushot 1" Rings, Medium, 3/8" Dovetail, 4 Screws/Cap for $9.99 what great rings, with out loctite they hold , just barly cleared the Barrel by 1/4 inch with the medium rings but better closer than high

    Things I would have changed:

nothing, you can put this on any gun and be happy

    What others should know:

Man this is a good scope, the combo of the Hawke 4X12 and the Leapers Accushot 1" Rings, Medium, 3/8" Dovetail, 4 Screws/Cap is great, No one beats to the door pricing on every thing I have bought from them, up to 33 percent less, don't bother looking any more for better pricing, not gonna happen

    Things I liked:

Well made, easy to mount. Very good optics for the money. Seems to work well with my springer. Turrets easy to turn.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing at this point.

    What others should know:

Very good product for a beginner air shooter. Very good optics for aging eyes.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Appears to be fairly well made... as nice a fit and finish, equal to similar scopes costing twice or more. Not the clarity of a Leupold or Zeiss, but not the price either. Perfect for a recreational plinker/target shooter.

    Things I would have changed:

A bit finer reticle... but thats splitting hairs. ;-)

    What others should know:

Quite satisfied with my Hawke Airmax... I'll be looking at Hawke again for my next optic purchase.

  • Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Things I liked:

Clear optics, objective and zoom ring are smooth and not too hard to turn, turrets click nicely unless something shatters inside. The MAP6 reticle is nice, so make sure you get over to Hawke's website and download the BRC software to take full advantage of it.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if Hawke offered the Airmax line with side-focus and a 50mm objective on the 4-12x. A 4-16x50mm with side focus would be even better.

    What others should know:

My Airmax 4-12x lasted for about 300 shots on my RWS 52 and suddenly something broke inside which doesn't allow me to adjust the windage turret. Never fear though, the people at Hawke Optics were glad to back up their warranty. I sent the scope in today for a free repair/replacement.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Very well built. Clear optics. Great warranty.

    Things I would have changed:

The AO and magnification wheels are very stiff. In talking to the representative at Hawke, he mentioned that it was built like that on purpose - to be able to withstand the heavy recoil of magnum springers.

    What others should know:

    Great scope.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Clear optics. Tough scope - handles recoil of a FWB 124 well. Value price. MAP 6 software.

    Things I would have changed:

Adjustable objective is very tight - most Hawkes are built this way though. Turrets can't be rezero'd.

    What others should know:

This is a set it and forget it scope. When coupled with the MAP 6 reticle, one can overcome the inability to reset the turrets to some degree.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

crystal clear glass and looks like a $400.00 scope.

    Things I would have changed:

I think I would like a finer crosshair. When shooting tiny targets (less than 1/4 inch) they are covered.

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Outstanding scope. Everything I expected and more. I have it mounted to a Beeman R7 and use it as a scope and spotting scope at 10x.

    Things I would have changed:

Adjustment ring on objective lens for parallax distance is a little tight, but hopefully will lighten up with use. Not a concern.

    What others should know:

Fits perfectly with Leapers medium mounts. I had to notch the front dust cover for it to fit between the scope and barrel. Download the free software from Hawke to calculate the ballistics for the dots in the reticle. Pretty neat program.
