Things I liked:

With the Adjustable Objective (AO) properly focused, this scope provides a remarkably clear view of the target at all of the ranges I have tried so far. The image of the target is clear and bright from edge to edge. The reticle is in crisp focus after only a small adjustment of the eyepiece focus ring. At higher power settings, this scope provide more target details than did the older, good quality, fixed four power AO scope it replaced. This makes target shooting at 20 yards more fun because I can see target hits more easily through this scope.

Things I would have changed:

At higher magnifications, it is necessary to position your eye carefully to see the entire image of the target. This may be unavoidable in this price range. An Aeon it is not.

What others should know:

This scope replaced the original four power, AO scope on my RWS Diana 34 that failed to respond to vertical adjustments after 20 years of faithful service. Optically, this scope appears just as crisp and clear as the one it replaced even at twice the magnification.

    Things I liked:

The simple function of the scope is perfect for my basement 10 M range. The covered elevation and windage adjusters are precise and give demonstrable clicks. It mated perfectly with a drooper mount on my new RWD 430L underlever. Please note the energy limit, 12 ft. pds. muzzle energy, or risk scope destruction. The 430L is a 12 pound rifle and it is perfect for it.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much to quibble with. The scope is basic and it just plain works. I can see that if one took it to, say, a barn to shoot out feral pigeons, having exterior adjusting knobs for elevation and windage would be helpful. However, in the fixed range of the basement range, the capped adjusters are perfectly adequate since those variables are constant.

    What others should know:

Abide by the 12 pound energy limit. Hawke makes this plain for a reason, namely to prevent destruction of the scope internals. The optics are very clear and the mil dot scope really works.

Great glass. So clear. Good adjustment performance. Looks really good against wood furniture too.

    Things I would have changed:

Tougher! My Springer killed a X 40 Vantage.

    What others should know:

No Springer's! No pistons! It will live a long happy life if you put it on a PCP.

Clear and bright right to the edge. Mil dots are an asset to shooting at longer ranges. Good light gathering ability in dim light

    Things I would have changed:

    Really nothing

    What others should know:

This is my 4th Hawke airgun scope and I am pleased with all of them. If you are shopping for optics, Hawke is a very good buy for the money in my experience.

    Things I liked:

price and good fit on a Diana 34 . Nice clear scope adjustable to my eyes . Works well in low light

    Things I would have changed:

I would have liked open adjusters , but I knew that going in and the price was too good to pass up

    What others should know:

I purchased this scope to replace a Bushnell 4 power I put it on a Diana 34 , 22 cal with the TO5 trigger . At the factory scope settings it shot approx. 20 inches low at 30 yards . Did not even try to adjust it. Instead I ordered the droop mount and weaver scope rings and it came in at 3 inches high at 30 yards / well within my comfort zone of scope adjustability. The gackle birds don't stand a chance now

    Things I liked:

This is my third scope of the same type and manufacture. That's my endorsement

    Things I would have changed:

    I like it as is.

    What others should know:

My preference is a 50mm lens so if this is something you would like remember it needs extra height when purchasing scope rings. I have been in Astronomy for over 20 years and I like to tell people the larger the opening the more light. My eyes aren t what they use to be and that's another good reason for a larger apature
