    Things I liked:

Well made as all Williams stuff is. Lots of adjustment.

    Things I would have changed:

This sight is huge. Could have been made a little more compact.

    Things I liked:

Dimention, especially the height is perfect for RWS 350 Magnum with the original front iron sight. So far, this is the only sight solution worked for my RWS 350 Magnum, which has ruined quite a few rifle scopes, from the combo scope to some name brand stuff. Of course, if there is one ultimate scope will finally work for RWS 350 Magnum somewhere out there, I will try to get one. ------ The original front iron sight with this wiliams diopter rear sight create a very good aiming radius, but it is still no match to optical scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe come with different diopter sizes.

    What others should know:

For magnum airgun, you may need a recoil stopper. Currently, I am using the big screw head as a recoil stop pin, which is not strong enough for a scope mount (too big a mass), but strong enough for this diopter sight (small mass).

    Things I liked:

Very accurate once dialed-in with a spring air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Thin the bottom of the upper arm, to be usable with Crosman 13xx (with steel breech upgrade).

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Very accurate with my Winchester 1029S rifle in my basement shooting range (20-foot) with numerous same hole shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Thin-out the underside of the upper arm so that it could be used with a Crosman 13xx that has had the steel breech upgrade. Use higher-quality set screws (one split the first-time it was used; it is still usable but must be carefully tightened first).

    What others should know:

Unmodified, this will not work with Crosman 13xx pistols that have the steel breech upgrade (the elevation is too high; even with a custom Michael Chavka barrel band).

    Things I liked:

A nice Williams aperture at a bargain price relative to other Williams apertures.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps for a few bucks more add a second aperture sized 0.50" to satisfy target shooters.

    What others should know:

This is my third Williams sight, but my first one for an airgun. Because of that I have a selection of Williams apertures that fit right in this rear sight. A 0.50" aperture works really well with good lighting in a target shooting environment. However, the standard aperture that comes with this Williams "Diopter" sight is perfect for lower light and shooting in the woods. Basically, than means the standard aperture is just right for hunting and plinking.

    Things I liked:

Very nice sight. I surrounded mine with a thin layering of tru-glo for night shooting. Adjusts for windage easily and reliably, and replaces the less-than-reliable gamo silent cat's rear sight aptly.

    Things I would have changed:

If this was $5 cheaper, it'd probably be the best deal on this site.

    What others should know:

If you want a reliable rear dovetail for a target rifle/pistol, hop on this. I've been using mine on a gamo silent cat, and it withstands the heavy spring vibration without any adjustments necessary.

    Things I liked:

I ordered two of these - one for my Bronco ( along with the front riser kit ) and one for my son's IZH-61. Mounting was easy and fast, no problems at all, Quality seems fine. I have a huge selection of hex wrenches, but a lot of people probably don't, so they'll require a trip to the hardware store.

    What others should know:

I'm guessing that the sight has changed very recently - earlier reviews indicated that the aperture was friction fit. That is NOT the case with the ones we bought - they're threaded, and a Williams .050 replacement aperture screws in just fine!

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Precise, economical, lightweight, right size aperture for me, seems durable.

    Things I would have changed:

The clamp is too shallow, requiring fitting on some rifles. A choice of diopters would be nice. Allen wrenches to fit the two screw sizes would also be considerate.

    What others should know:

Aperture sights are both fast and accurate to the limit of air-gun hunting ranges. They are superior to optical sights in many ways (simplicity, durability, low fiddle-factor, weight, profile), but require practice, whereas optical sights "seem" like an instant solution. (They are not, but that is another story.) The first mistake new aperture users make is to try to use a small aperture and to consciously try to center the front sight. The proper technique is to ignore a large aperture and look only at the front sight. Aiming takes care of itself. Not magic, but feels that way sometimes.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Easy to mount. It fits my Diana 34P well. It is cheaper and much more rugged than the replacement factory sight which I broke the first day I had my gun.

    Things I would have changed:

    Appeture is much too large.

    What others should know:

This is not a sight for high accuracy. The design of the sight lends itself to 1" groups at 20yds at best due to the "slop" of an appeture sight. That could be improved with a smaller appeture, but overall these types of sights are not very accurate.

    Things I liked:

The Mendoza appears to be very well made and very sturdy. The click adjustments work well. I like the method of clamping onto a rifle as it allows a wide tolerance for groove width (unlike the Williams Guide #54).

    Things I would have changed:

The aperture is very large. I prefer smaller, so I would like to see the aperture threaded, not pressed in. This would allow easy replacement. The minimum heigth is to tall. I can zero with the top of the front sight hood on my TF99P (not the front bead). Could they mount the aperture below the bridge instead of above it?

    What others should know:

Despite the issues, with my old eyes I can shoot better with the Mendoza than with the open sights (which are very good on the Tech Force 99P).

    Things I liked:

For the price a good value. Easy to install on my t01 rws 48.

    Things I would have changed:

Instructions with the sight pariculary barrel droop issues and need to raise the front sight.

    What others should know:

As reported elsewhere, many schooters will need to raise their front sight to compensate for the high position of the Mendoza. I ground down the front sight and used electrical tape to attach a piece of foam. I then stuck a hat pin in the foam making a sight post. It worked but looks ugly! Ideally a machinest should be able to make a dovetail ramp to which you can epoxy the front sight of your choice. How high the ramp? Experiment with the foam's thickness.

    Things I liked:

easy mount and knobs for adjusting. simpler and more efficient then the similar Williams sight.

    Things I would have changed:

add optional eyepieces in different sizes

Nice to hit something without a scope.. I love this thing..

    Things I would have changed:

Should have a few different eye pieces for it.

    Things I liked:

Excellent machine work, tight, precision fitting parts. mounted easily on my Beeman S1 break barel 11mm grooves. Click stops soild and do not move once in place. Sadly, though, I had to return it because my front aperture sight was not high enough to sight the air rifle in.

    Things I would have changed:

    Change nothing.

    What others should know:

You will love this aperture sight. Price is an absolute bargain.

    Things I liked:

Good solid aluminum build with decent click detentes.

    Things I would have changed:

The diameter of the eye aperture is way large for a pistol close to the eye, I made a simple .032 plastic insert.

    What others should know:

It's a full 1/2" taller than the Williams notch sight. I fitted mine to a Crosman 1701p and had to make a 1/2" taller front blade. I like it much better with the modifications than the stock blade/Williams notch combination.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Good price. Apertures interchangeable with Williams.

    Things I would have changed:

The markings on the side are metric (10 mm worth), but the pitch on the controls appears not metric (looks like 40 threads per inch like the Williams). Make the markings match the pitch and also mark the knobs (it helps counting adjustments).

    What others should know:

The minimum height of the aperture is 0.875 inch (from the center of the aperture to the roof of the dovetail). I had to use a pair of pliers to unscrew the aperture. The Allen screws on this are compatible with the Allen wrench that comes with BKL rings (and maybe other brands, too).

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Easily mounts to an 11mm rail. Mounts up securely and is easy to adjust. I had to adjust mine to the extreme left side to center shots. I didn't think I was going to have enough andjstment to center my shots, but I did with a narrow margin to spare. I mounted mine on a cheap Shanghai $20 air rifle, and it still performed with precision. The way it is made (metal, not plastic!) I'm sure it will outlive the air rifle it is mounted on, and if it does thats fine too, because I will just remove the Mendoza and remount it on any replacement air rifle that comes along.

    Things I would have changed:

I would include several screw-in apertures of different diameters. The one that comes standard is rather large, which is fine in low light, but when you want fine accuracy in well lighted areas, a smaller aperture would be nice.

    What others should know:

I recently learned that Williams screw-in apertures will fit the Mendoza sight, for those that want a smaller aperture.

    Things I liked:

At one point everyone seemed to be out of this sight. This sight is nicely made and functions very well.

    Things I would have changed:

This purchase was for my Crossman Titan. Though the dovetail is nicely cut, there is not enough clearance to allow the sight to mount to my rifle without modification.

    What others should know:

Like me, you may need to modify this sight to fit your gun. As the Mendoza is made of aluminium, I was able to 'grind' a slight arch into the roof of the sights dovetail. In doing this, the sight was just (barely) able to clear the radius of the 'barrel' and lock into the mounting grooves.

  • Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The knob adjustments are easy. Mounting was easy and stays secure because it is tightened from the side. This is a very nice feature. The Williams sight I replaced it with had two set screws on top under the sight itself. This meant removing the top of the sight to retighten. This was often as the sight popped off from the spring kick.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

I bought this sight to replace a Williams Peep Sight that was mounted on a 35 year old Weihrauch HW30 rifle. This siight is very secure. I have also added a couple of drops of loctite on the screws. It fit nicely on the Weihrauch grooved receiver.

    Things I liked:

    Ease of installation and quality.

    Things I would have changed:

Smaller aperture on the peep, I replace with another smaller one that I had.

    What others should know:

Much better than the notched rear sights that came on my air rifle.
