Things I liked:

Wow talk about being impressed. Great looking air rifle. The wooden stock was awesome and the metal construction was solid. Very powerful and a solid performer. A great buy especially with the combo Benjamin Pump..This is my first PCP and glad i chose this model.

Things I would have changed:

I would specify in the description, that use of the hand pump can be strenuous for people over 50. This air rifle can be pressurized to 2000psi . it takes about 100 strokes on the Benjamin pump to achieve this psi. There is an excellent video on YOUTUBE about proper use of the pump and all buyers should review this video. Also the gun must be cocked before filling.Once you do, filling the rifle is much easier..I would also recommend adding a noise reduction shroud as an option.

What others should know:

i fired several rounds without adjusting the sights that are provided with this gun. They were well grouped and extremely accurate. The gun when fired indoors is loud and my break barrel of the same caliber makes about the same level of noise. The Chiefs is just more high pitched. A noise reduction shroud would be nice if you intend to shoot indoors or in backyard.

Things I liked:

Everything until neither will shoot...

Things I would have changed:

Bought 2 at the same time... After a month 1 stopped holding air... After 6 months got the other one out still had air, but wouldn't even shoot with a quarter of the power! Could watch the pellet go 5 yards? Valve locked? Something broke inside??? This stupid Covid hits I've missed Squirrel season now... STILL no one can tell me what's wrong... Bought 2 neither gold air or shoot less than a year...

What others should know:

Bought 2 neither will hold air or shoot... One dident even last a month probably... Other you fill with air cock and watch the pellet go 5 yards...

    Super accurate and great trigger

    Things I would have changed:

Rear sight is 1/8 inch higher in relationship to front sight in its lowest position. Had to make a spacer block for the front sight.

    Things I liked:

The overall good looks. Ease of loading. Ease of filling with a hand pump. Love the vintage appearance similar to several of my all time favorite Crosman 160 Co2 models. We got a .22 and a .177 we loved this so much.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Feel like this one was made just for me!

    What others should know:

If you loved your older Co2 similar type models, you will love these classy new PCP models.

    Things I liked:

Was surprised on the power of this gun. Pretty accurate, at 25 yards I can group a 1.5" with open sites. With a 20 year old $30 scope it groups 1.5" at 40 yards. This was with windy conditiions. I like the feel of the gun and it is easy to hand pump. This is shooting 7.8 grain pellets and are hitting as hard as my old 1000 fps springer.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

Shoots down from 1900 psi to 1000 psi in around 13 shots

    Things I liked:

Where do I start with the things that I like about this rifle? This is a great design, from the wooden stock to the awesome power this thing packs. Out of the box, the barrel was a bit wonky. That probably happened during shipping, but I loosened the front strap and the barrel went right back into position, I tightened the strap down and I was off and running. The first time that I pulled the trigger, the sound shocked me. It is much louder than I had expected and more powerful than I expected. I removed the rear sight to accommodate a 3x9x40 scope and had it zeroed in less than a dozen shots. After 100 shots this thing is dead accurate at 20 yards and I am seeing no change in power or accuracy at 30 yards, in fact, it seemed to be hitting a little high at 30 yards as compared to 20 yards. Oh, and it loves heavy pellets, 10.5's, and 14-grain ammo shoot just as well as, if not better than, standard pellets. Finally, it is much less pellet brand sensitive than my other air rifles.

    Things I would have changed:

The bolt is a little sticky and crunchy when cocking, but, at this price point, I kind of expected that. Same with the trigger, a bit crunchy, not horrible, but not good either. The trigger pull is kind of short and heavier than I would like and unfortunately, on this model, it doesn't seem to be adjustable. I have several sub-$100 air rifles with 2 stage adjustable triggers, really nice triggers, I believe Beeman could have added that to this rifle to have made it a complete joy to shoot.

    What others should know:

This is my first PCP, and it has been a great experience so far. Thank you Beeman for making it affordable.

    Things I liked:

I ordered this gun and got it in two days. Really fast shipping. Recently did some plinking from about 60 feet away and hit the little yellow goat on my second shot. This gun is beautiful. It performed perfectly and I love the fiber optic sights. I wish all of my guns had them. I really like using the bolt. I feel like I am using an old rifle. Great price. Thanks again PA!

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see a magazine for this gun that fits it's current configuration. I know that the QB Chief 2 has a magazine, but I do not like the look of the barrel being so far above the air reservoir. It is a minor issue. It is still fun to single load.

    What others should know:

Buy it! It is cheap, nice looking, accurate, and fun to shoot.

    Things I liked:

The look and simplicity. The price. The accuracy is excellent. Hardly takes any air to fill it up. Shot count is not too bad for the little air it needs.

    Things I would have changed:

The Safety would be much nicer as a cross bolt instead of a lever in the same location. The barrel band should be metal and also indexed so the barrel cannot flex and be tightened left or right. (Check this prior to sighting in) adjust the barrel so it is straight.

    What others should know:

This is my favorite pcp, I have much higher priced rifles but I just love this rifle. There something about shooting an inexpensive rifle that can perform nearly as well as the rest.

    Things I liked:

Comfortable and much lighter than the break barrels that I am used to. Easy to use. Consistently powerful and accurate from full down to about 1000 psi, then the groupings started to spread out. Able to fire about 80 rounds before this happened though.

    Things I would have changed:

This gun would be amazing with some kind of magazine attachment to make reloading slightly more user friendly. As it is, you need to load in a single pellet at a time. Also, the seal between the air tank and barrel blew on me after the first use. Started leaking air out of the barrel instead of pressurizing. Still waiting to hear from Pyramyd as well as Beeman to find a fix, so customer service would be another improvement I would like to see.

    Things I liked:

I bought one two years ago in .177. It has been holding air for 4months now which is a good sign. I like the rifle very much but wish it could be fitted with a silencer but there is not enough clearance at the end of the barrel. Trigger is ok but not great. Weight and balance is good. Fit and finish is good if you like a satin finish. I would rate this 7 out 10.

    Things I would have changed:

Better trigger and design it so it could take a silencer. Stock finish could be better. This rifle makes a very loud noise when fired, thus the need for a silencer. It does not effect me because I live in the country.

    What others should know:

For $179 you can go wrong. My gun shoots fairly flat out to 25 yards with a 8gr pointed pellent. I don't regret my purchase. My advice is to hold out for the .22 version.

    Things I liked:

Like an original QB 78 that used CO2 cartridge, only this one uses compressed air which I like better..I had a QB CO2 that I modified and it did not hold up well. Good price accuracy not as good as I would like but have not tried different pellets yet. Probably much better accuracy at lower velocity so not necessary to over fill. Easy to fill with hand pump. Can easily mount scope.

    Things I would have changed:

It is a Chinese QB so nothing to change .I bought my first QB for $98 .

    What others should know:

Good play rifle, can use for barnyard pest. Poor trigger.

    Things I liked:

Has a great real rifle feel. I adjusted the great trigger to 2 pounds. Very nice wood and bluing. This thing is a real tack driver. Great buy for the bucks. Is a little loud but a silencer quietens it right down.

    Things I would have changed:

This is a great small game rifle and some some sling studs would help a lot in the field.

    What others should know:

You cannot go wrong investing in this pcp.

Accurate, i shoot 10.5 gr pellets wind does not effect the shot much, if any at all. Those pellets in that gun hit like a mac truck. Very good looking rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety. While it works mechanically it"s not user friendly. Just kinda awkward to use atleast to me it is

    Things I liked:

Price. Accuracy, super easy to fill, adjustable trigger, power adjustable hammer spring (not all models). Light weight.

    Things I would have changed:

Please Pyramid, make Beeman sell Parts. Because of lack of Parts support I will not purchase another Beeman. Parts! Very difficult to impossible to find. No fault of pyramid air. Beeman will not send o rings for the valve or any internals internals or give and specs on the sizes. If you hand pump be sure you have a water filter, it will rust quick.

    What others should know:

There have been improvements, my model has a dual o ring bolt prob and adjustable hammer spring. Its shoots .75 at 50y with 7.9 Premiers. It's shoots hot. 960fps from factory, I had to cool it down with adjuster to 890fps, accuracy improved greatly.

    Things I liked:

The gun is nicely finished and made of good materials but the inner works leave a lot to be desired. Sights are good, bright and clear and well proportioned to the gun. Pyramyd's packaging was good. Well padded in a heavy cardboard box, the factory box was not too good. The one I got was slammed around somewhere along the line. The rifle had gone through the barrel end of the box and broke the rear sight and pushed the barrel off to the the left side which i pushed back easily because the barrel band was loose.

    Things I would have changed:

Better packaging (by Beeman) . The action was horrible, it took good strength to cock the thing because the action is so rough inside. Oil didn't help at all. Fill port leaked and popped the end cap off two seconds after i put it on. That has nearly stopped but it still leaks inside somewhere. It looses all pressure in about an hour, not even enough time to get to the range before it is empty. I would have just replaced the port but I can't get one anywhere.

    What others should know:

The are NO parts available for this gun anywhere that I could find on line, so if it breaks you might as well junk it.

This was my first PCP. I like everything about it.The wood is very nice. The metal parts look very good to. It is a blast to shoot. After using break barrels all these years it is very nice to have multiple shot capability. I will be adding a scope. More because of my eyes than anything.

i love the groups i get from this gun and it got here very fast to a day ahead of the time as well and i can hit a dime 10 out of 10 at 50 and 100 yards.. i love this and it is my first PCP bought

    Things I would have changed:

the safety was a but weaird to me but it is handable over time. and maybe a bipod mount for the gun.

    What others should know:

shoot 100% and easy to hand pump and it looks and shots like a $2,000 dollar gun and it is 10% of the cost as a high end one.you will need a good scope to hit 1/4 shots at 100 yards but this gun will do it easy.heavy the pellet the better groups it seems but with 14.3 grain crosman premiers hollow points and a 4x16x44 scope it will almost stack the shots at 100 yards. . thank you Pyramyd Air . i love you and and will buy more from you guys soon as well.

    Things I liked:

Lot of hardware for the money, solid,

    Things I would have changed:

Had to loosen the set screws on the barrel support and aline barrel to gun so scope would have enouf windage for adjustment. Honed and adjusted trigger parts, now great trigger. Safety has to be removed befor action can be removed from stock. Sear engagement and over travel agustment screws do not have retaining capability, rap 3-4 turns of .002 silk fly tying thread around screw for adjustable retention. Have put 300 or so pellets through gun, accrecy is improving, best so far is with H&N sport Sniper Magunm 17.90 gr. Between 1,500 - 1,000 lbs. Understand when you do aney of the things I have done to mine You Void the Warenity!!! Great enexpensive gun to tinker with.
