Value: Construction, and accuracy are superb. Everything about this airgun feels like it should be in the 250-300 USD range rather than the 80 USD I paid.
Things I would have changed:The hooded front sight; I just don't like them. I realize this is personal taste, but I can't develop a quick clear sight picture with a hooded sight.
What others should know:I have 16 ft indoor range and an aging father who is also an airgun enthusiast. I bought this gun to shoot indoors, but it is clearly powerful enough to take into the field. Also, I chose this airgun as one I can share with my father. The cocking effort is comfortable for him, but the weight does tax his strength. I am happy with this purchase.

Well made compared to the low-end Chinese guns that Crosman and others make in this same size and entry level class. Hatsan quality really shows in the barrel, the lock-up detent and internal parts.
Things I would have changed:Trigger travel and return spring. Like most sheet metal trigger assemblies, the return spring is way too strong and, the "adjustment screw" does nearly nothing to alter the travel or pull weight. Call it a lawyer-trigger for kid safety and that's fine but, knowledgeable airgunners can fix the trigger in many ways, I did and the 1.12 lb trigger pull with no creep or grit is the result.
What others should know:The open sights are much better than the competitors. Rear sight FOs are small but defined, same for the front hooded sight and this really helps accuracy compared to the huge FOs that are on some guns. Rear sight notch width actually matches the front sight picture! What a concept!

This rifle is also available in muddy girl camouflage and in .22 could you please tell me if you have the ability to supply this rifle in the stated configuration along with pricing?
How much is the cocking effort?
It is around 20 lbs.
Can this be retrofit with a gas-spring when my daughter gets to be quite proficient? Would it be cockable? would the barrel take the stress, etc.? I should add that I have one enroute as a freebie as part of a larger backorder.
No, you can not put a gas piston in this rifle.
