Things I liked:

The rifle is sturdy and really good looking. It is very powerful, as it sends Winchester pellets through both sides of a soup can. No mechanical problems after about 500 rounds.

Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull is a bit heavy. The rear sight on mine was defective, and Umarex is sending me a new one.

What others should know:

The rifle is "tin can" accurate at 30 yards with open sights, and "coffee can" accurate at 50 yards with open sights.

Things I liked:

The gun is beautiful. The cocking is not as hard as I expected from some reviews. Just use proper leverage.

Things I would have changed:

The trigger. It comes brutally stiff. You can adjust it but it never feels good. Also, I tried to use the scope after 30 rounds it would not hold zero. Wish they would include a scope that worked or just make the gun slightly cheaper.

What others should know:

For the money I feel that this will be a great protector of the garden. Time will tell.

    Things I liked:

Good weight and balance. Easy to break barrel. Good feel, the cheek piece just right for me. Accurate right out of the box. (I did clean the barrel before any shooting though). Excellent power and, (the main reason I bought it) . . . It works perfectly at zero degrees!

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe .... a little lighter trigger pull .... but I'm not having any trouble with the factory setting.

    What others should know:

Very little adjustment needed to get sighted in .. shot three different weights of pellets and my .177 Forge seems to love 8.64g rounded top diablo pellets. ** Have not bothered with the scope because I've been able to hit pennies at 75 feet distance with real consistency just using the open sights!!! That is about the maximum range I'll be using this rifle. Maybe someday I'll scope it but wow this is one of the most accurate little rifles I own. (I'm very pleased) ..... The trigger is adjustable for pull length ONLY not for pull weight! ... I've had no trouble with the trigger maybe because I have not been 'spoiled' using $ 1200.00 rifles. I would say, if you want a pest killer for WINTER use this is the rifle to own.

    Things I liked:

Open sights! Easy to Cock and Load. Good weight, easy handling maneuverable. Muzzle break/baffle very helpful. ... After unboxing I ran some cotton through the barrel and am VERY pleased with the tight groups.

    Things I would have changed:

I have not tried the scope yet so I can't comment on it. I can't find anything else to complain about.

    What others should know:

The first few shots were with H&N Baracuda Power (copper) 10.65g a decent group all low and to the right. *** without changing anything the next six shots were made with H&N Sport 8.18g wad cutters decent group all high and to the left *** without changing anything else the next 25 shots made with H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64g = RIGHT ON!!! At 50 feet I was able to shoot the centers out of two Birchwood Casey 3" targets ..... I am very impressed. *** Although the gun was superbly packaged for shipping I noticed the stock screws and the forearm screws were not very tight .. I tightened them up before starting to shoot and they stayed where I put them. Loudness ?? Actually the first few shots were sharp crack but then down to about the claimed 3 (medium) .. I own six other air rifles and the Forge is par with all of them. It's an easy rifle to pull the barrel down on so you will want to have a good supply of pellets on hand. Great little rifle.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate. I have zeroed in at approximately 15 yards ( the distance from my back door to my retaining wall ). I bought this because my Beeman wasn't very good at taking care of the flying rats in my back yard. Haven't missed one yet with Umarex; 1 shot 1 kill. They don't seem to come around as often

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

You need to make sure you clean the oil from the barrel for the first time or it will be LOUD, 22 cal loud and I'm not talking 22 pellet loud.

Great rifle for the price. Accurate so far, shooting at 50 feet.

    Things I would have changed:

    Better scope and mounts.

    What others should know:

Screws in stock loosen after 5 shots. Tries locktite, it didn't work.

    Things I liked:

the quality of the Forge is quite well with open sights, the overall quality of the gun is outstanding, easy to cock and load.

    Things I would have changed:

the scope is not a good one,( i don't know why companies don't put a decent scope in with the package, people would pay little more to get defect in the stock, a small gouge and some stain missing however this didn't affect the overall performance of the rifle. a good scope would go a long ways with improving this package) this was my 1st purchase as an air gunner, I'm 63 i do really like Umarex products ,awesome quality, I will be buying a couple of their products in the future. God bless

    What others should know:

this rifle is a bit heavy, not good for young kids unless using a gun rest. and someone cocks the gun for them

    Things I liked:

have been pleased with the gun overall. I wanted a gas piston break barrel that was mid priced and has a good platform to hold the scope. I'm using it for plinking and it's performing nicely. There was some break in process with deiseling.velocity seems good. Accuracy is good at 20 yards. Scope is decent. I've been using crosman 10 grain dome pellets and it seems to like them alright. I'm getting used to the predictable trigger. If I could move the T06 from the rws 34 I think I would have the ultimate pellet plinker. I like the stock and overall appearance of the gun. I don't know if the moderator makes any difference. It's not too loud. I recommend this gun. It's not so fancy that you don't want to use it. this is my first gas spring gun. The shot cycle is legit much less chaos than my spring guns. It's an enjoyable pellet gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I wouldn't change this. Just be aware the gun is not a weilraugh or rws but it shoots nice.

    What others should know:

During my break in period I had deiseling and it settled down over a few days. I'm pleased with the cocking effort and very smooth shot cycle. The trigger is very consistent. I can go up to the wall and break off the shot after a few practices. I like shooting this one. Hold it the same. Shoot the same.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate. Powerful, about 900 fps with 7.3 grain pellets. Very nice wood stock. Excellent sights plus a scope included. Quiet enough to be backyard friendly. It has a very solid, well-built feel to it.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull could be a little lighter.

    What others should know:

Must use proper technique to get good accuracy, (artillery hold, etc.). Some people may find it a little heavy, especially if used for carrying around in the field hunting. Fast shipping as usual from Pyramid Air.

    Things I liked:

Very nice looking and well built. Heavy and powerful. For the price point I choose this rife do to the research. The scope it comes with is cheep and not worth attempting to zero in. Over all 8 out of 10!! The iron sights where right on and the rail to mount a a scope is nice as well. Well done!!! I choose the 177 cal as a pose to the 22 because the 177 was available and the 22 was on back order. I have some squirrels to deal with. I bought a nice Air rifle scope for it. It is very accurate and powerful out to 30 yards. Love it and love to shoot it.

    Things I would have changed:

Its way to loud. You think well its a pellet rifle, It cant be loud. Its loud!!

I think this is an excellent gun for someone just getting into airgunning. I have found it to be accurate after putting in a lot of practice to get my hold right.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is kind of stiff and heavy (I knew it would be having read other reviews) I am still working at finding a pellet it really likes

    What others should know:

The included scope is not bad but is not great. I did an upgrade to the Hawke Vantage 2-7

An awesome air gun to for the money , I was very happy with this air gun , I enjoyed shooting it and it was accurate at 30 yards and out to 50 yards . It will be a great back yard target shooter for me and great for varmint hunting to .

    Things I would have changed:

I was not happy with the scope and the scope rings , the rings were to short and the scope rubs on the rail and the scope was cheap and had a hard time keeping it sighted in , I had to up grade the scope and rings.

    Things I liked:

Very attractive rifle. The wood stock and dark colour of the metal parts give the gun a very upscale look. Very easy to dial in both the scope as well as the sights. Once dialed in the gun is very accurate. Overall the entire package feels like a much more expensive gun than the similarly priced competition.

    Things I would have changed:

For the price I paid there is really nothing I can complain about. But if I had to pick something, I would suggest a better (possibly one with a zoom) scope. Having said that the one included is perfectly adequate.

    What others should know:

The Umarex Forge was my first Airgun purchase ever. Before buying it, I had spent a few weeks lurking and researching to determine which one to buy. I had my mind made up for me when I found the Forge on sale for just under $120 Canadian including the taxes and shipping. Which converts to $84 USD. When it arrived I knew I had made an excellent choice and for the price I paid it is an obscenely great value. It looks like a million bucks, is quiet enough to shoot late at night in my indoor range and is almost unbelievably accurate with only minimal adjustment. When someone like myself with almost zero shooting experience of any kind can put 15-20 shots in essentially the same hole at 10m you know youve got yourself a keeper.

    Things I would have changed:

    Noisy safety mechanism

very classy looking rifle, the only problem is you have to keep tightening the stock to barrel screws, other than that, it has decent power and relatively accurate and as in all packaged combos you will find you will need to change the scope and rings

    Things I would have changed:

add lock washers to the stock screws, better scope and rings

    Things I liked:

Nice fit and finish for this price range....excellent barrel, which I find unusual for a Chinese gun. Zeroed at 45 yards with JSB heavys, it will group a half minute of squirrel head at 70 yards with a six inch drop. I am amazed. Of course, I had to install a Leupold 6.5-20x to get those results but it is accurate, consistent, and predictable. If UMAREX would make the effort to put a real trigger (3-3.5 lb) in this thing., they would OWN the break barrel market.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger....at least don't put 8 lb return spring in the gun.
