Things I liked:

A great realistic feeling piece. Perfect for building good muscle memory and draw practice. The rotary clips are very simple and goof proof. Accuracy is spot on at 15 to 30 feet. Expensive but worth it for my purpose of maintaining Walther center fire skills, After about 500 shots trigger has a nice smooth 2 stage pull. Very high quality of all components.

Things I would have changed:

The sights should be white dotted from factory

What others should know:

Get a total of 15 rotary clips. You will then have 120 shots ready which is right for each CO2 charge. Clips are inexpensive and easy to load. (be sure to push pellet skirt into clip with fingernail or pen tip - you will feel it seat). Put white or bright fingernail polish on front sight at least. I did rear sight too.

If you want to "sling lead" go for it. If you want to hit a pop can at 20' consistantly... pass. buy a Beeman P17... I gave mine away.

The Walther CP99 is an accurate pistol. It has an authentic look and feel. I would buy it again.

    Things I would have changed:

The white lettering kind of takes away the authenticity but is there so not to be confused with a real pistol. The price is a little high but reasonable.

    What others should know:

The case and extra mag is a bonus.

    Things I liked:

Feels good in the hand. Very solid, not cheap. The frame is plastic as is the real gun, the trigger is plastic, but very solid, doesn't wiggle around, the slide is metal. Initially I was skeptical about the way the two piece slide works, but after using it, I have no problems with it. I don't like sloppy barrels/or slides. While this one isn't really sloppy, it is a little loose. I put some heavy grease on the rails, which help hold the slide and barrel in more firmly in place. This works well, since the slide does not move during shooting. The single action trigger pull is LONG and a tuff pull. Pulling the rear of the slide back puts the gun into a double action trigger mode. While the trigger is still somewhat of a hard pull, it's much better than the single action pull. The C02 cartridge is easy to instal, the magazine though mostly plastic but well made, installs solidly. The accuracy, I was pleasantly surprised how well a short barrel c02 pellet gun can shoot. Overall, very happy

    Things I would have changed:

For this cost, three colored dots could have been put on the sights..! The outer barrel is plastic. Not a big deal but made bore sighting a challenge. Lighten the trigger pull..!

    What others should know:

You get two rear grip straps. Small difference, but noticeable. Easy to swap. With my old eyes, I installed a Leupold, DP Pro red dot sight. The gun and site work well together. As noted, I was very happy with the accuracy. Averaging 1"(+ a very little), 5 shot groups, off hand shooting at 20 ft. Funny that the only plastic casting mark is on the face of the trigger ! A jeweler's file and sand paper work took care of that. A little oil goes a long way in this gun, as it does in most new pellet guns.

Overall fit and finish of the pistol, fits the hand well, and as I'm a Lefty, I appreciate that it is ambidextrous.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights need to have white marker dots to help acquire them.

    What others should know:

I did not see a reference to lube the end of the co2 cart. so I called Umarex and was told not to use pelgun oil as it would deteriorate the seals. They suggested that a drop of silicone oil every third cartridge or so would be best. Too early to tell accuracy or value, so gave middle of the road at present.

    Things I liked:

Weight, balance, co2 cartridge system, after a bunch of rounds, accuracy is far superior to other unamerix pistols I've had. Out of the box 2 inch group on full 8 rounds about 1.5 inch to the right, I will adjust bondage. I thought trigger was fine, contrary to some reviews.

    Things I would have changed:

Not keen on safety mechanism, a bit dodgy, but serviceable. Otherwise a very nice purchase.

    What others should know:

I've read many reviews complaining on price. It was a bit much BUT it shoots well.and quite accurate. I had the unamerix Smith and Wesson mp version and it was a nice price point. But accuracy was terrible and after a few months the co2 wouldn't seal anymore. It went to the trash. I mean groupings of 2 feet were about all the better it would shoot from 20 feet. The Walter is very nice. Once again, you get what you pay for.

    Things I liked:

This is a very well made pistol. Looks good and feels good in your hand. I love the fact that there are removable CO2 cartridge magazines and the 8 round pellet mags are interchangeable with other Walther pistols. Thus far, this is my most accurate .177 pistol. An excellent addition to anyone's collection.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

It is a chore to cock this gun in single action mode. Thus, I shoot this pistol in double action mode. The trigger pull exhibits a long draw, but a clean break. You can expect about 80 accurate shots from a CO2 cartridge. Red Dot Target evaluation with the use of a Caldwell Pistolero rest at 8 yards shooting at 48 targets, 384 rounds, exhibit a 0.65 inch spread average using RWS R 10 Match, 7 gr. flatheads.

uses the 8-shot Umarex rotary mag, has an adjustable rear sight, and has rear cocking on the slide to go single action

    Things I would have changed:

    better rail

    What others should know:

This Walther CP99 CO2 is shorter and offers a lesser rail than the S&W M&P 45,which has the same exact function with a longer barrel and better rail... but cost considerably more. I feel like this gun is inferior to the cheaper M&P 45 but sells for $75 more because of the Licensing from Walther, So it's way over priced.

new to air pistols. purchased to teach grand kids safe shooting habits and enhance my skills. can shoot indoors on bad weather days. Slide does not does not blow back like real pistol when fired. Single action requires you to cock each time. no problem with that but being new to air pistols i was not expecting that. would purchase again

    Things I liked:

I got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. He has the CP99 BB pistol and really likes that one as well but wanted the pellet so he could shoot at pellet targets (indoor). He likes the C02 in the mag, loading system for the pellets and the de-cocker. I have the "real" P99 9mm and he shoots that too.

    Things I would have changed:

Safety is a pain to go from safe to fire. Needs the dots on the sites. It would be nice if the Walther red dot site that fits the CP 99 BB fit this gun. Minor but it would be cool to have a hole and red indicator on the back of the slide to show if it is cocked like the real gun.

    What others should know:

I bought the recommended RWS Meisterkugeln 7g pellets and they work flawlessly. We tried crossman premier 10.5g and 2 out of 8 would not leave the mag so we are thinking they fit too tight.

The safety awkward should be moved to same location as real pistol. the ejection lever is small and very stiff and hard to engage.Front and rear sights are black they need white dots or other sight enhancements.

    Things I liked:

High shot count, I am getting around 80 shots per CO2 cartridge. Gun seems to like the heavier 8 grain pellets. All I have to use at this time is Wadcutters and Crosman Premier Domed, and these are primarily rifle pellets. Will update this when I can get Pistol Pellets. The construction is excellent. Pistol feels good in my hand and the trigger is very nice in DA and SA. The hard case is a nice plus and the extra backstrap really made the pistol feel good and got my finger trigger at the perfect position, not too far forward and not too far back. The overall impression is of a quality piece that feels like the weapon it replicates.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights need white dots on them to better see for alignment. I added the dots and now it is alot easier to get the alignment, had to drill alittle indent to put the white paint in but doing so makes it easier so the paint won't rub off. For the price maybe include 1 more magazine. The CO2 cartridge install is something you have to get used to. It takes several tries of tightening and retightening to get the cart pierced. Overall it is a good system, you just have to get used to it.

    What others should know:

This gun is accurate out to around 30 feet. If you jerk the trigger you will be all over the place. A consistent squeeze and you can pretty much take out the bull at 15-20 feet. The faster you try to fire the faster the CO2 will drop in pressure and you will get jams. Take your time with each shot and you will enjoy this replica hand gun. Another fine piece from Umerx.

    Things I liked:

This is a solid little shooter with a nice balance in hand. The windage adjustable rear sight is very easy to adjust. When the screws are loosened, the sight moves left and right with click stops, unlike the other Umarex, German-made semi-auto pellet pistols. And unlike those others, it doesn't shoot high, but more to the point of aim. Although the pull of the trigger is long in double action, it's smooth and predictable. In single action it's a quick two stage trigger. Single action is cocked by pulling back the slide. Considering the short barrel, it's a pretty accurate shooter. Loading and piercing the CO2 cart is easy with a magazine that's released by a lever that's part of the trigger guard. Piercing is in a way that I've not encountered before. You'll want to read the manual, and the directions beneath the magazine. All in all, this is a superb replica that's very enjoyable to shoot.

    What others should know:

It shoots accurate with some of the least expensive wadcutters. Beeman Coated group well.

    Things I liked:

The looks of this gun is fantastic! Except for the superfluous white lettering on the right side, it looks like the real thing! Weight is fairly realistic. This gun is accurate! I installed a laser and at 25' get pea size one hole 5 shot groups rested. Far better than all my other CO2 pistols.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull is....well, funky! It is long and fairly light at first, then stacks right before you put the final pressure. I think it is stacking because it is rotating the clip into position. At that point the pull becomes very heavy, then finally releases. I have learned to deal with it, and the accuracy is superb! Once I had the laser dialed in, it put five shots in one small hole, right where the laser dot was.

    What others should know:

This is a fairly expensive gun. But the quality is excellent, the looks are great, and it is very accurate. The trigger pull is the only draw back, but if you can learn to control this gun, you can fire any semi auto firearm accurately, as this trigger is the worst I have experienced on any semi-auto pistol! But, it is certainly well worth the money you spend on it. Also, it shoots cheap RWS basic pellets almost as good as expensive match pellets, which is a big plus!
