By Wilma from USA on 2009-07-29 15:46:56 Things I liked:As I already am a proud owner of a Nickel Walther CP99 pellet pistol, I already know what to expect when it comes to Walther quality. But i must say that I was impressed with this gun. It has a nice hefty weight to it, it"s made of durable metal and a high quality polymer. Blowback with open ejection port is awesome. After the last shot is fired, the slide stayd cocked back like a real firearm.Speaking of the slide, it has a nice matte black finish ! Accuracy up to 30 ft. is pretty good. Each co2 cartridge will give you at least 100 shots as long as you put a drop of Crosman Pellgunoil on the tip of each one before charging it into the pistol..Things I would have changed:I"ve thpught about it for a few minutes and haven"t been ablr to come up with anything. What others should know:If you"re into shooting realistic looking, feeling, and performing air pistols, you won"t go wrong with thw Walther CP99 compact... If you wanna have fun with it, get at least 4 extra mags, the Walther laser, lots of Copperhead BBs, co2 powerlets and Pellgunoil to keep the fun going for a long time.. |  |

By Customer from USA on 2011-06-30 19:00:19 Things I liked:has many realistic features. good weight. metal magazine.Things I would have changed:this gun has a serious flaw in that the bb's will fall out of the barrel if gun is pointed downward and trigger pulled slowly. This makes it nearly useless in my opinion. You have to jerk the trigger quickly to beat the bb out of the barrel. This makes accurate shooting difficult. I would like a gun with a cockable hammer for single action shooting as well as double action for semi auto shooting. I don't really care for the blowback action. It works fine but uses more co2 and robs power. It doesn't shoot as hard as other guns I have. What others should know:I bought this gun to get a single action trigger pull. I don't care for the heavy long pull of double action guns. This gun still has a long pull, but it is lighter. It's not crisp like I expected. As for velocity I got 347 on my chrony once. Walther claims 345. average was about 300. Accuracy is not as good as my colt defender or crosman c41. It shoots about six inch groups 4 in low at 20 ft. Overall I'm disappointed in this gun. |

Durable finish... quick firing nice compact size ...good accuracy .. the tanfoglio is more accurate but the tanfoglio is gonna run u 119 bucks
Things I would have changed:The stick clip I would like to see this gun. Use the same clip design as the tanfoglio .....racking the slide is not as grin inducing as the tanfoglio
What others should know:This is a great buy u get much gun for the money. Tanfoglio offers realism and accuracy for the money cp99 offers just a bit less accuracy but way more bang for your buck....weekend ride ride vs hot daily driver - Things I liked:Everything! The weight, the feel in hand, the blowback, accuracy (close range), etc etc! This is a very very fun BB pistol to shoot!!
Things I would have changed:It would be nice if it was stronger, but still well worth the price! And maybe ability to shoot pellets but at this fps, BBs are just fine and much cheaper to shoot.
What others should know:I've never been one for BB/Pellet pistols since they aren't that practicle other than fun plinking. I took a chance on the CP99 Compact and am extremely happy with it. For the price, it weighs and feels just about the real thing in hand. The blowback feature and recoil make this BB pistol great fun to shoot! Like I said, I've never been one for BB pistols but this one for the price is well worth every penny if you're looking for something just plain and simple fun to shoot and plink with. I also like the way the magazine and the C02 can setup is. This is the first C02 gun I've had that I don't hear air leaking once locked in. I've gotten a good solid 5-6 magazines worth out of a C02 can and you can tell onces it's running out because the blowback stops working as it normally would. All in all I highly reccommend the CP99 Compact for anyone looking for a BB pisotl that feels like something worthy in your hand and feels great to shoot! - Things I liked:Feels good in the hand with a nice weighted balance. Polymer frame and a steel slide with open ejection port feels authentic. The trigger pull is nice and smooth with a crisp snap at the point of fire. The groupings are tight out to 20' feet with the iron sights and very consistent to boot. Most of all I Absolutely love the blowback action with this BB gun. A nice plus is the safety, many buyers don't care for it but I like how extremely child proof it is. I have small children that figure things out fairly quickly but this safety requires serious intent to disengage as it is just not a flick switch type deal. Great job Umarex! Plus the engagement of the safety de-cocks the gun.
Things I would have changed:Iron sights are very drab and could use a tri-dot system like on the Beretta style guns. The iron sights work well for the effective range but require quite a bit of focus to get the most accurate shots.
What others should know:Buy a set of extra mags, actually I'd suggest two sets, this gun is really that much fun to shoot. You'll get 5 full mags plus a few extra shots out of a full CO2 cartridge. It's a nice safe gun to have even with intelligent small kids. Requires a couple of steps to disengage the safety. When the safety is engaged the gun will de-cock. - Things I liked:I like the blowback and slide lockback when out of Ammo, Trigger pull is great have no problem with bb's rolling out like on some earlier modols ? Nice sights and good Mags holds about 18 rounds they seem well built.Pistol looks very real and has great feel to it built real nice!!!
Things I would have changed:I myself would have adjustable sights and maybe just a little longer barrel for accuracy, also I don't like the CO2 setup I would like just a bolt to turn C02 up, mine some how wont set tight ?
What others should know:This is a nice little shooter but not as accurate as some other Air Guns I have here at home, I'm hoping this will break in after shooting it a while? Please don't let this shy you away from this nice Pistol, mine just shoots a little off sometimes I was keeping c02 in my pocket and this seemed to make gun shoot off may have been too warm? I did get more shots and less waste this way but its not worth losing accuracy!!!Its best to leave c02 at room temp before shooting this Pistol it has more accuracy!! I love blowback Pistols they are so much fun to shoot and P.A. has just about anything you may need, including the Best Customer Service and SHIPPING !!!! I hope this helps someone who is looking for a real nice blowback Pistol for a good price, look no further. - Things I liked:Prioe. Compact size. Excellent accuracy at shorter distances. Easy to load.

What others should know:Great for practicing handgun drills and techniques at a low cost budget. - Things I liked:Walther CP99 is a great choice for beginners, accuracy is really good with full gas.
Things I would have changed:Sometimes the slide stop fails to work, but after few more try, it will come back to normal. Same thing happens to my friend's CP99. - Things I liked:I love the look and feel of this nice replica, it has a nice weight and the grip is very ergonomic. It's also decent on co2 considering that the gun has a blowback mechanism. Solid gun for the price.
Things I would have changed:Not much.
What others should know:This gun may be compact, but delivers quite a punch. It is not a toy for kids, it can be very dangerous when not used properly. See Pyramyd Air's safety videos. - Things I liked:Very well made. The blow back on this pistol is a great feature. Love the weight of it. Mostly metal and very simple to load mags and co2. I would recommend this pistol to anyone. Still have yet to take it out into the field and test my accuracy with this gun. I recommend getting a couple extra mags as well so keep from loading one everytime.
Things I would have changed:The safety. Not a big fan of how it works. Would have like a slide safety. Also when the safety is on and you have a loaded magazine in it and pull the trigger, bbs will come out the barrel. But other than that I would not change anything. - Things I liked:I love this new cp99! It has a good amount of weight to it making it feel like the real thing. The blowback is a great feature. The muzzle of the gun is also a plus if you want an air gun that doesn't look like an air gun. Very easy to load both magazines and CO2. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend to everyone.
Things I would have changed:Make a little more accurate, but overall a great gun! - Things I liked:Great quality, lots of metal. Heavy. Not very powerful. Accuracy is not it's strong suit. Overall it feels like a real gun. Blow back is a ton of fun. I can get about 10 mags through it before CO2 needs to be replaced.

What others should know:It's a plinker, but it's a ton of fun. Very well made. Feels like a more expensive gun. You won't win any target shooting contests with this. - Things I liked:After firing over 500 shots I have learned the particulars of the pistol and am very happy. Accurate enough for fun plinking at 11 meters. great looks and heft.
What others should know:takes a awhile to learn btw all pistols require that learning curve. - Things I liked:Well made and put together air pistol. Heavy in weight. Has a very nice feel to it when shooting. Blowback is nice as well.

What others should know:If you don't already own this air gun.... get one now!! You won't regret it. - Things I liked:everything! This is a real peice of work. Accurate, reliable and fool proof. The way the CO2 cartridge is pretty much unable to be over tightened for the person that is just learning and makes a speedy swap-out for the seasoned shooter.

Things I would have changed:I need to look into some kind of loader for the bb's. Right now I have to load them individually into the small hole and it takes a lot of time. Haven't found anything that allows a quick load as yet. Maybe Pyramid Air can put some recommendations for a loader in the accessories.
What others should know:Not as powerful as a pellet gun, but a lot of shots from one magazine and is fun to shoot.
