Things I liked:

Nothing yet.

Things I would have changed:

Beware the TX2 valve. Just got the Texan .50, charged the gun to 3000 psi, fired it 3 or 4 times, refilled the tank to 3000 psi, fired it 2 or 3 times, then fired it again - the tank then totally dumped down to 0 psi and drove the scope back into my right eye cutting badly the brow, lots of blood. Called Air Force and had a very unsatisfactory experience talking to Camille. She refused to take my experience seriously, taking the position that it was operator error, and there was no way that anything could have been wrong with the new TX2 valve. She actually suggested recharging the gun and firing it again to see if the same thing happened again - which was nuts. I then sent the tank and valve back to Air Force, at my expense, which is Air Force policy. Haven't heard back from Air Force.

What others should know:

I bought a Lead Sled to use the next time I use the gun.

    Things I liked:

What a powerhouse. On about 90% preload on the hammer tension it likes my two go to home cast ammo. The 355 grain gets 7 shots touching at 50 yards and 415 grain gets 5 shots touching on a 3600 psi charge with a reflex dot site.Cant complain.3600 down to about 1900 psi ten the shots drop alot. This has been my favorite airgun......just have to be mindful of where I shoot it.Its making about 650ft lbs

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really.I added a carbon fiber barrel sleeve with a custom machined end cap.Made a world of diffrence in the accuracy department.Shoukd come from the factory like this.Factory end cap allows a good bit of barrel movement.

    What others should know:

Stop buying expensive ammo unless your shooting long ranges...yes swaged ammo is better.Bought Lee molds for the 45/70 and a .457 sizing die.Wheel weights are nearly free at tire shops.1.5" groups with wheel weights at 50 yards.Perfect for my hunting needs. My hunting area is thick brush so long range isn't an option.

    Things I liked:

very accurate, handles bullets 143 grain round balls to 500 grain slugs without any problems. there is nothing to not like about this gun. i have only had this gun 2 weeks and have shot over 500 rounds without any problems .i cast all my own bullets so it makes it really affordable to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

wish they could ad a regulated system and go to a 4500 psi tank.so more full power shots could be possible.

    Things I liked:

This is a great gun with as much power as you need whether target practicing or taking large game humanly at great distances. Simple design with quality engineering and tons of aftermarket upgrades available. When I quickly received the gun; I found that the carbon fiber tank was mis assembled and the valve was not attached to the tank. I called customer service and informed them of the problem and that I was leaving on a shooting trip in 9 days. They helped me return the gun at no cost and sent a replacement to me with 4 days to spare. Texting and emailing me regularly to inform me of its status. I could not ask for any better service! This is during the multiple holiday season when they are very busy but they pulled it off!

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing, Thanks Pyramyd Air!

    What others should know:

If you are looking for a great high powered rifle and worried about this version Texan not having a suppressor as I was; I purchased, through another supplier, a Donnyfl "Emperor" silencer with a barrel thread conversion to accept it. This moderator is a first class "firearm quality" silencer for air guns and you will have the ability to shoot with or without it.

This thing is a beast. At 100 yards it disintegrates a 388 grain projectile to bits.

    Full stock.

    Things I liked:

Workmanship seems fine. Scope mounting plane leaves a lot to be desired.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like to see some slope built into the scope mount rail. AND rather than the dovetail the gun should have a picatinny rail (with appropriate slope).

    What others should know:

I purchased new along with a Hawke Vantage 4-12 x 50 scope. The Hawke scope has 90 moa capability. At 13 yards I bottomed out the scope adjustment in order to zero the rifle and i was still an inch low. Not good. Since it is near impossible to find a dovetail scope mount with 20 moa slope built in, I had to put a dovetail to picatinny mount on. Then I added Burris 20 moa rings. That allowed me to get to zero, but the weather is keeping me from testing at greater distances. I may have to add a 20 moa sloped base as well as the 20 moa rings. Seems like Air Force should build in some slope for an air rifle that might be shooting 4-500 grain bullets. They did not. The dovetail groove plane is parallel to the bore. Since the 455 grain bullets is falling as soon as it leaves the barrel wouldn't you necessarily need slope built in to the scope mounting plane?? Very disappointing to say the least. Air Force should point this problem out to prospective purchasers or fix the issue

    Things I liked:

I could go on for hours about this Airgun, let me start with, if you hunt Whitetail deer or any big game here in the states, or love to long range shoot with various size slugs and I mean many choices in weight or configuration with awesome accuracy and more then enough power and also have a Chronograph the skies the limit. My Texan 457 CF was the easiest Airgun that Ive ever dialed in. What I like Power, accuracy, setup options unlimited and it almost dials itself in, that easy. My third Airforce Airgun so dependable I have no doubt it will be for years to come.

    Things I would have changed:

I only have one complaint and its no dealbreaker by any means, the locknut and Spanner wrench system all the Airforce Airguns have, the spanner wrench to locknut doesnt lock together solid enough and is a little cumbersome. If not for that I would give five stars across the board, for $1200 your getting a lot of Airgun but I feel they could tweak that with no extra cost.

    What others should know:

Absolutely buy many boxes of various ammo and get extra Airtank fill station dedicated to just your Texan if at all possible, because your gonna want to shoot for hours. By all means if you have been considering purchasing one then order one up here at Pyramid the staff is awesome, Ive shopped here many times and if you have an issue with something youve bought here they resolve immediately. Pyramid Air is my go to most all ways.

Its powerful already dropped a deer with it heart lung shot 2 steps and fell over. I have had it only about a month and like it more than my powder burners. Put about 200 shots in it already.

    Things I would have changed:

The one I received had a broken tx2 valve couldn't even fill it up. I was really excited and had to wait another week. Call airforce texan they replaced it and paid for shipping both ways no questions asked. But they didn't have the new tank and valve in stock so had to wait a week but they overnighted the new one to me as soon as they got it.

    What others should know:

Airforce texan is a great company with my experience so far.

    What others should know:

A great rifle for hunting. Just tested it. Should take down a bear, deer or hog easy. Don't know if I would try it on elephant or rhino. I did have a problem with the air tank. After 9 shots I tried to refill it and something was broke and rattling inside the air tank. I contacted both the seller and manufacture. It was within 60 days so it was under warranty. I had to send everything back, so keep the box. After waiting about a month for a response that they had received return and processed my return, I contacted the seller. Within 3 days they sent me a replacement. Tested it, and the replacement seems to operate fine. Recommend getting the test shots for $10 it might be worth not having to send it back. If i didnt have problems with return i would have rated it 5/5 overall.

Its powerful, accurate, and shoots a variety of ammo types and weights with ease. Chronograph to tune each bullet and set fill pressures accordingly for max power and least amount of air consumption! Do your part and the rifle will do its part. This is pure joy to shoot!!!

    Things I would have changed:

A better butt stock setup or options to have possibly an AR style adjustable stock. I have very long arms and a longer length of pull would be great!! Definitely not a dealbreaker though.

    What others should know:

Go buy one!!! You’ll love it!

Had a a bunch of 50 cal ammo for the hammer but got tired of waiting. Wife has clamped down on my purchasing power, lol. Love my K1 .25 and bulldog .357 - Please come out with a semi-auto bully style 50 cal. so I can justify buying a 6th air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Make a semi-auto bully 50 cal (also carbon fiber w/ur improved valve technology at at least 700 fpe).

    What others should know:

Let's go next generation ya'll... and thanks for actually bringing a 50 cal to market without 2 years of build-up and dashed hopes at a great price point. Props.
