    Things I liked:

After having a Benjamin HB17 for a year it's a delight to have this pistol. I like the HB17 but pumping it gets tiresome after a while. I've always thought that CO2 pistols are underpowered. Not this one. It packs a powerful punch with a fresh charge of CO2. It's well built and very attractive. To me it has a semblance to a Ruger 22/45.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish there was peep sight option on this pistol. It's difficult for me to align the rear and front sights.

    What others should know:

I counted 40 power shots on a new CO2 cartridge.

    Things I liked:

Its construction is old fashioned metal and wood. It shoots well and holds a good group.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is good enough, but thats it. Better QC. The front screw holding grip frame to barrel assembly needed tightening, as it resulted in the two parts being loose. Rear sight is adjusted all the way down and it still shoots a little high.

    What others should know:

This gun is pretty small. Smaller than pics appear to me. Even with the loose screw and the sight issue, for some reason I love this gun. It is solid when properly put together, i.e., the screws are tight. It is a bit on the loud side but I don't see that as something I would necessarily change. Its a gun.

    Things I liked:

Has a good feel. Metal and wood not plastic. Very nice quality for the price. I like the rear knob for opening the breech and that it locks with an easy turn.

    Things I would have changed:

If anything prehaps the rear sight.

    What others should know:

Buy plenty of pellets! Its hard to put down!

    Things I liked:

Right out of the box, it shot a 5 inch group at 30 yards freestanding. I am extremely impressed. I won't have to touch the sights at all. One of the best looking and shooting air pistols I have handled. I just ordered a second one to give to my son since he loves mine so much.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger rattles a bit when not cocked, but no real problem. A little rough at the weld seams, but for the price, I am not complaining.

    What others should know:

Better get one quick before they quit manufacturing them. It is a classic and will make a fine addition to your arsenal.

    Things I liked:

Nice feel, hefty weight, solid shooter, no air leaks detected during the shot. Seems powerful, very well made for the money, and very acccurate considering the short barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

Rough edges around breech (entry port for pellet) keep some kinds of pellets from passing into the barrel without getting caught on the sharp edges and going into the gun crooked, but this is easy to fix and will get smoother over time. Also, this is a CO2-eater. You will only get 20-25 full power shots with one CO2 cartridge.

    What others should know:

Not mentioned by the manufacturer is, that in addition to elevation adjustment, the rear site can be slightly adjusted for windage by loosening the screw and moving it slightly left or right. I like this piece so much that I am considering getting a second one. I am only disappointed because I waited too long to get one of these, and I would like to have ordered the EB20 and EB17 if they were still made. You must get one of these while they are still available.

    Things I liked:

Well made, shoots hard & the Co2 cartridge lasts longer than I expected. It is balanced well and it is built sturdy. Much more compact than the pictures make it seem!

    Things I would have changed:

The craftsmanship is good, its well made, but not elegant. There are definitely room for more refinement. The trigger is very hard to pull & rattles when the gun is not cocked. I would really like to see a bolt rather than a textured knob for cocking prior to loading. I would also like to see it come with a dovetail mount for a red dot scope

    What others should know:

Not as many parts available for post -production modifications.

    Things I liked:

Classic styling. One of the few old fashion air pistols still available. Good accuracy considering the mediocre sights and trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

The painted finish looks cheap, and was oversprayed down the barrel so thickly that the rifling, at the muzzle, could not be seen. The casting seams on the frame look unfinished. Warnings cover the entire left side of the CO2 chamber.

    What others should know:

Flat nosed wadcutters don't load easily. Round nosed pellets would be a better choice. If they made a collector's grade version with a nicer finish and no warnings, it would be worth twice the price.

Very loud!! Your neighbors will think you're shooting a 22 in your backyard! Nice handling gun, at least 35 full-power shots. Personally, I like the 2 stage trigger. The pull feels light to me. This has become my favorite air gun by far. Get one while you can!!!

    Things I liked:

This has quickly become my favorite air pistol by far -- the only one I have truly liked, in fact. It is amazingly accurate. I didn't even know that *I* was so accurate until I shot this pistol. The shot simply goes exactly where I aim. The gun is also a pleasure to shoot. It is light, well balanced and simply designed. Loading the pellet is as frustration-free as I have experienced with any single-shot gun (including the Benjamin Discovery).

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing in the gun itself. See below for owner's manual note.

    What others should know:

If you buy this gun, be aware that it takes two or three dry-fire shots to get a new CO2 canister going. At first I thought I failed to screw in the canister tightly enough because the first dry-fire shot was just an empty thud -- no gas. But that's normal. The second dry-fire is partial gas, and the third is full gas.

    Things I liked:

It has good ol' nostalgic Americana appeal --Accurate--Nice balance--Solid feel--Real wood grips--Plenty of power for an air pistol--It'll last forever if you do your part.

    Things I would have changed:

Here's my 2 cents worth--Rear sight is lacking fine adjustments--Fit of the wood grips was a little off--Grips could be just a tad thicker too--Smoother trigger, or even a trigger shoe option would help. Overall I wouldn't change much--I think its a nice little pistol & a good value.

    What others should know:

The first time I shot this pistol it was shooting really high, I adjusted the rear sight (that screw sure is long) and all was fine. There isn't really a windage adjustment, but mine was set nearly dead center from the factory and once it was dialed in and I did my part, three shot groups were always touching and there were even a few ragged holes thrown in for good measure. I was shooting at 10 yards and the temp. was in the mid 70's (nice for November). The CO2 pressure stayed consistent until the last few shots. I painted the front sight blade fluorescent orange, so I could see a bit better (I'm getting old) and added a trigger shoe that was sitting around , I was in luck that it fit great and it really helped to make the trigger pull smother and more even. I was using Crosman Premier 14.3gr hollow-points. No problems on my first outing with the EB22.

    Things I liked:

Excellent wood and metal construction, brass rust resistant rifled barrel, rust resistant trigger, slotted CO2 end cap, positive on/off safety. Barrel accepts a solid see through scope base made for Benjamine/Sheridan air guns. Pressure stays consistant right to the last two or three shots (about 35 full pressure shots)

    Things I would have changed:

CO2 end cap, the original Benjamine/Sheridan had a two piece threaded plug with the inside piece being an aluminum receptical that allowed the CO2 cartridge to snug up into the piercing pen with out turning, I'd also go back and reintroduce the 20 caliber.

    What others should know:

Excellent gun for the money, it's not in danger of ever being replaced because to accept anything less would be to be buying junk. Some of us in life will always prefer a good quality air gun - this just happens to be one of them.

    Things I liked:

Solid construction, 22 caliber, small and easy to handle, looks good

    Things I would have changed:

Needs alot more power, better sights, bottom rail for laser sights greatly needed

    What others should know:

This is a pistol for target shooting mostly. It lacks the power regardless of what others have said to hunt anything bigger than a small bird, weak. Don't buy this pistol if you are thinking you are going to hunt anything bigger than a bird at close range it lacks the power for anything bigger. When you hear people claim that their airgun penetrates so deep into wood you need to understand the different wood types to be accurate. Soft pressed wood this pistol goes through when it is a quarter of inch thick. Pressed hard wood you can forget it, pellets just ricochete, protective eyeware is highly recommended when target shooting. Overall good for plinking and mouse hunting at close range.

    Things I liked:

Solid, well made, nice wood grips and feel.

    Things I would have changed:

Would prefer a bolt action but not a major issue.

    What others should know:

The gun was shooting high so I adjusted the sights all the way down and it still shoots a little high, cannot adjust any further. However, still a nice pistol for the money.
