    Things I liked:

i bought this gun along with the benjamin pump and the lepers mediun rise scope mounts and put a 3X9X40 AO illuminated scope on it. no adjustments, straight out of the box. i tried several types of ammo but the 16 grn jsb jumbo exacts shot the best. chronied 860 fps with the recommended 2600psi fill and these pellets don't cloverleaf, they actually shoot thru the same hole off the bench at 25 yards. i've been smoking the squirrels (eye shots) out to 40 yards so far. this thing is so powerful, accurate and quiet it should be against the law, ha-ha. it's by far the most accurate pellet gun i've ever shot!!!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

don't buy one unless you intend to sell the rest of your airguns. they'll just sit in the corner gathering dust because you'll never want to shoot them anymore after shooting the marauder.

    Things I liked:

This is my first pcp air rifle and I did hours of research to make sure that I made the right choice. I have a rws 48 which I have used off and on mostly off for squirrel hunting.I just could not find a pellet that would shoot good. I now found the predator polymag to shoot very well. I used the 48 about three weeks and thought this was a great gun.But there are times that a quick second shot is needed, and with a springer that is not possible. With all the research that I did I had a good feeling about the marauder. I had a thing about the price, plus the pump, like 700.00 that is alot of money now days. I bought it and I am very very pleased that I did. I wanted a repeater and a gun that would shoot a 18-21 grain pellets around 850-900 fps. This gun shoots the beeman crowmags avg 895-903 fps and the kodiaks avg 870-875 with a pressure 2500-2600 psi. The accuracy is just outstanding. I have shot crowmags, kodiaks, polymags and rws super points and they all hit the point of impact the same. Oh one thing I have to file the point in half on the polmag in order to get them into the clip. A steady rest and a target at 30 yds,ten shots all within the dia. of a dime. The longest shot at a squirrel is 35yds with the kodiak and went right through. There are times that think can I ever miss. Even though I spent a total of 700.00 for gun and pump it was money WELL spent. I just love this gun. I believe you will too. Give one a try. And yes this gun is very very quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

For me and being my first pcp I can not think of anything I would change.

    What others should know:

I read somthing someone wrote about pcp air rifles. He said once you shoot a pcp you will never go back to a springer. For me that is the truth.

    Things I liked:

well balanced, quiet, super accurate. haven't touched the adjustment, straight out of the box using 16 grn jsb jumbo exacts shoots one ragged hole at 25 yards off the bench and chronies 860 fps. for the money you can't go wrong here. i believe it will shoot with ANY of the high dollar european guns.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

clean the barrel thoroughly before you ever shoot it.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Quiet. Excellent trigger pull. No recoil. Nicely finished. Good accuracy, often hitting the same hole at 20 meters, although some steady confident aims miss the mark by way too much- maybe it's the pellet's fault? Good power down to about 1500psi using the factory settings.

    Things I would have changed:

My opinions- yours might vary: The magazine is a cheap hard plastic toy, and it will not work at all with long pellets like Predators. Crosman Premiums often have to be tapped or pushed to load into the mag. The stock is too fat , especially at the grip- small hands would find it difficult hold. I find the overall weight and balance is awkward and tiresome- worse than a cheap shotgun.. Maybe I got a defective lemon, but mine does not always cock, or does not always push the pellet out the barrel even at 2000 psi (so it is not over-pressure lock and the factory settings have not been altered). This is my first PCP- is it supposed to creak and pop when slowly filling? (it is a little unnerving). It is very awkward to single shot load (not using the magazine) unless you use tweezers or have skinny fingers- the scope is above the breech, the breech is raised for the magazine, and the gap to insert through is narrow to suit the magazine. The owner's manual instructions stink, especially for the magazine.

    What others should know:

Remember, you cannot use the magazine with Predators, and maybe not with some other pellets. An offset one piece scope ring will not work- get a two ring style. There are no sights, so remember that you need more than just the gun to use it: scope, scope rings, refill equipment, pellets that actually fit the magazine. When you go to load the magazine for the first time, here's how it is done: force the clear plastic cover over the detent nub in the direction of the arrow until it stops rotating easily, then force it over the detent nub to expose the pellet hole that goes all the way through. Put a finger under the hole bottom and drop a pellet in nose-first from the clear plastic side. Rotate the clear plastic plate over the nub and back opposite the arrow direction to expose the next pellet hole. To do this, you might have to adjust the first pellet up or down a little so that it does not catch. Drop a pellet in each hole as you rotate back and force the clear plate over the nub to the starting position. After the first time it is easy. The plastic magazine is certain to break, so you might as well get extras now if you still decide this is the gun you want.

    Things I liked:

This is one sweet air rifle. My 10th airgun over the years, and first PCP. Mine is a .22. Very accurate, very quiet, fine trigger and easy to shoot accurately. Ambi stock (I'm a leftie). I've been shooting target at 50 and 25 yards, if the wind is light and I do my part it shoots with my target 10/22. Beats my best HP springer (RWS 48). Easily busts crows at a measured 67 yards, and doesn't even wake up the cat sleeping next to me.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like to see a single shot loading ramp for pellets like Predators that are too long to fit in the otherwise excellent magazines. Maybe a little lighter weight overall for easier field carry, but is already lighter than my RWS 48, I'm not complaining.

    What others should know:

Tackdriver. Powerful. Very quiet. This rifle is a winner made in USA you will be pleased, and Pyramydair support is first class. .

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Quiet! (Sounds about like your old Daisy bb gun.) Made in the US from an old company. Pretty accurate. Attractive looking.

    Things I would have changed:

MANY! 1. They should truly be ashamed of the clip- it is a cheap piece of hard plastic junk that cannot possibly last. $13 is outrageous and they don't even supply one with the gun! 2. You NEED the clip unless you have a good pair of tweezers to load a pellet in the breech hole between the two high ends of the breech opening underneath the scope with no bottom to drop the pellet into and slide it home. 3. Sell it with iron sights. For hunting, a scope is an annoyance to be fiddling with focus, etc. and with no sights at all, you are forced to buy a scope. 4. Change some of the materials of construction. Aluminum will not last for the breech. The trigger is reportedly pot metal- shameful. I worry about the air reservoir- what is it made of and will it explode from corrosion in a few years? 5. Lighten the weight. Nice hardwood stock but it is heavy and fat- it would be a tough grasp for a small hand. Not real well balanced either. I handed it to my neighbor and he thought it was a shotgun! It is tiresome to support for a careful shot from standing position. Come on- this is just an air rifle after all and there is no recoil. 6. Improve the owners manual. The instructions for loading the clip are lacking clarity, the instructions for tuning for another pressure are sketchy, there is no exploded diagram of parts, and there is no indication of what the factory settings are. From specs somewhere, I read that it is set for 2500psi, but the manual does not say that. Out of space.

    What others should know:

Don't try to use an offset one piece scope mount- it will obstruct the breech opening where the clip needs to go if you set it for comfortable eye relief.. Buy two rings for the scope. Be aware that you need to buy a scope, mounting rings, and at least one ammo clip plus have a means of charging it with air besides buying the rifle. I have a whole bunch of disappointments about the rifle that I did not have space to describe. I do not believe this gun will not last the way my old Benjamin 312 did- over 50 years of flawless high performance. I did not think this rifle was worth what I paid, especially considering that I had to buy extras to be able to use it at all. But it IS quiet and powerful with pretty good accuracy. Just my opinions...

    Things I liked:

This is my first PCP so my review may be a little slanted. The accuracy of this rifle is unbelievable compared to the spring rifle I have been shooting. I put thirty rounds inside a 1 inch circle at 30 yards. I have shot 5 round groups you coud cover with a dime. My current setting will allow 40 accurate shots before refill. Gret trigger and quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

I would like someway to tell if a round has been loaded into the chamber.

    What others should know:

Do not buy a one piece scope mount.

    Things I would have changed:

Top sling mount stud stripped out of stock after first week of use. Need more dependable sling stud attachment. include extra clip and an air pump. with new rifle.

    What others should know:

Be careful when using a sling. the top sling stud stripped out after the 2nd use. This happened while walking on concrete with the rifle slung on my shoulder. The sling stud stripped out of the forearm and caused the rifle to fall off shoulder striking the bbl shroud on the concrete. Damaged the bbl shroud nut and also caused the bbl to twist in the top bbl/ air tube mount. Sending back to Benjamin for repair and evaluation. Benjamin customer service very nice and helpful so far. will post outcome !

    Things I liked:

Will give the Brits a run for the money and bring more PCP business back to this side of the pond. Easily adjustable power although mine was wide open except for the metering screw which I opened all the way for 3000 psi fills.

    Things I would have changed:

    Can't wait for a carbine/synthetic stock version

    What others should know:

When adjusting the metering screw be careful when replacing the set screw as it's possible to tighten it too much and somehow move the metering screw inward reducing power greatly. Sounds implausible, but I did it.

    Things I liked:

This is my first PCP and I really like it. It is accurate enough to place .22 pellets on top of one another. I shoot at around 35-40 yards and this amazing gun puts the pellets right where they are aimed. Now, if I could just aim better! Since this is my first PCP (really my first air rifle since I was a kid with a BB gun), I cannot really compare with other guns, but I love the way it shoots. I also love how quiet it is. My neighbors will never know what I have in my back yard. I have a Marksman 2004 (same as the Beeman P-3) and it is louder than the Marauder! I'm a happy camper! I am getting some 40 shots after pumping up to 2800, and the accuracy seems to stay the same, leaving it on the factory settings. I haven't tried the CO2 yet, but that is supposed to give a lot more shots on a fill, though with reduced power.

    Things I would have changed:

I had not realized just how heavy this gun is. My mother tried it (really!) and found it too heavy to handle. I'm doing pushups to build up! I guess I was expecting something a bit lighter. Mentioned in other comments that the mag seemed flimsy. For plastic, it seems o.k., though I am going to order a couple more, just in case this one breaks. The instructions for loading it need some work. I finally figured it out, but it was frustrating at first.

    What others should know:

Everyone says that this is a great beginner's PCP (because of price) and I know there are other PCP rifles out there with more power, but this will do everything I will need or want in such a gun. I am hoping Crosman will come out with a pistol (I have heard that they are working on it) that is a PCP.

    Things I liked:

I can't say enough about this gun. I got the .22 and it is the most accurate of all my airguns and the most quiet. It's very easy to install a scope. It is a solid platform with a very nice trigger right out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

The plastic magazine is working just fine now but time will tell about its durability. Order one or two extras anyway because they will make shooting that much more fun. Once you figure out how they work they are very easy to load.

    What others should know:

This gun can be loaded single shot without the magazine, but it will be difficult for anyone without small fingers. It does have barrel droop so order adjustable rings for your scope. Yes, you will definitely want to scope this rifle.

    Things I liked:

Accurate, the choked barrel, very quiet, the 10 round clip, no recoil, no fancy holds to master. It's look is fantastic and it is a pleasure to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

I wouldn't change anything, but for the price I do believe it should come with a few little perks. Sling, cleaning kit and a couple extra clips at least.

    What others should know:

I purchased this to do some backyard shooting and help to rid the neighborhood of varmints that have been systematically eating the insulation off my neighbors roof and every piece of fruit we grow. Quiet operation and exact accuracy were the points that brought me to the Marauder. Having read almost every review of every air rifle offered on this fabulous site to help me in finding the air rifle that I hoped would do the things that i require of it. The Marauder delivers. I use Crosman Premiers 10.5 and my marauder loves them. It also loves the Crosman Hollowpoint 7.9. Like all concerned backyard hunters I looked for a rifle that would provide the head shot that would keep the critters in my yard and not be sneaking off to die in my neighbors yard. If you are like me in that you want a quiet air rifle (not disturb the neighbors or draw their attention) the accuracy to deliver head shots at 15 yds (you might do better if you are more experienced with air rifles than I am) for as humane a kill as possible. Then I can't recommend a rifle more. Please remember to never shoot up. Know your background and to be patient, they'll come closer. I also want to thank all the sales people who helped me and answered all my questions. I want to also thank everyone of you who have written a review on this and every other rifle and pellet, scope, bi-pod and everything else. It was so informative and helped me greatly. Tom Gaylord's blogs. Wow. What a wealth of information. Buy this air rifle

    Things I liked:

My first PCP air rifle. Owned a FWB 124 since the mid-80s (before that, a Crosman M1 Carbine BB Gun). The FWB is a great rifle, but what a difference between the 2! Talk about Quiet, and no scope creep. The metal and wood on the Marauder are well finished. Although the trigger is plastic, it still breaks clean. Maybe someone will produce an aftermarket trigger assembly one day, but otherwise I have no complaints about the present trigger. I've heard problems about the bolt, but I haven't run into any issues. I'm able to use my index finger to work the bolt while shooting, and I'm not a big person - 5'2" tall. Accuracy is good to excellent, although I've only fired about 60-80 pellets and only as far as 30 yards so far. At 10 meters, it will shoot in the same hole if you do your part. I don't have any complaints about the magazine. Yes, its plastic, but so are a lot of firearm magazines. Am seriously considering buying a pony SCUBA tank in the future. Took about 150 pumps to bring it back up to 2000 psi from a 1000 psi. But maybe it's because I'm only 5/2".

    Things I would have changed:

Although not a big issue - the trigger., and use steel, not aluminum. Also, the length of pull is a little too long for my short arms, so I would ask that it come slightly shorter with a bunch of spacers for you tall folks.

    What others should know:

I'm presently using Benjamin Discovery .22 hollow points. Little pricey at $15/500 at Sports Authority. Plan to try experimenting with Crosman Premiers (same manufacturer as the Benjamin pellets?). Pay attention when charging the magazine. I swung the cover in the opposite direction after charging all the slots, and it wouldn't work. I thought I had a lemon, but after playing around with it, I found out I had swung the cover the wrong way. After I corrected it, I didn't have any problems with it. I also like the built-in counter on the magazine - great idea! Lastly, don't forget your pump or air tank. I forgot mine after driving 15 miles to shoot and could only shoot about 30 shots. Once it hit 1000psi, accuracy drops a lot.

    Things I liked:

Unequivocally the QUIETEST production PCP in the air rifle market today! ACCURACY is excellent, dime groups from 25 yards & beyond, mine is .22 cal using Crosman Premier Hollow Points. Fit and finish are great for a $499 PCP, and, but for a beginner, this is I think the most ideal to own. Running at 2500 PSI is easy with a scuba tank refill station and with the factory default settings, I can get 30+ solid shots. If you are so inclined to change the factory settings, you will have a ball doing so, as there are several combinations and settings that will fill every need of an air gun hobbyist/hunter. I cannot even begin to describe how quiet the muzzle report is like others have said, you will wonder if this PCP has spent the pellet out and all you hear is that distinctive "ping" from the hammer hitting the valve. I have heard, you can even make this PCP even quieter with some mods out there to as close as being "dead silent" The 10 shot repeater is outstanding! Coming from a single shot loading experience, the 10 shot is heaven sent. For the first time, I can focus on my target and not break my concentration with just one pull from the bolt to slide in the next round. And it has an counter/indexer to let you know at what shot you are in! What an ingenious design; not to mention the extra clips are priced reasonably less than the competition. The Benjamin Marauder is total winner from Cossman, just like its sister, Discovery, this will find a strong niche in PCP.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps, an upgraded stock and deep rich blueing, removable front and rear iron sights, carbon fiber stock for extremely environment, carbine version for lighter weight, and side lever action vice bolt. i guess these maybe in the generation of the Marauder II...will just have to wait and see.

    What others should know:

For your air source, I would recommend investing your hard earned money now for a SCUBA and the filling station accessories. I tried the air pump method, and I can only muster two fills in a day. By the time I fill to 2500 or 2800 PSI, I am completely sweating, tired, & shaking from trying to recover my strength and steadiness for the next round of 40+ shots. And believe me, you will not want to put this PCP down. And speaking of that, do yourself a favor, and buy loads & loads of spare 10 shot clips, believe me you can go through 80 shots in no time. For those of you that have back yards, get or build yourself a quiet pellet trap. I built mine from an 8"WX11"HX4"D electrical junction box, I got 16 electrical duct seal "brick" compound. These are commonly called M.S. for those of you ex Navy type. The pellet trap is quiet and keeps your pellet lead dust from littering your backyard. My .22 cal is so accurate from 25 yards that I can group 10 shots within a dime size. I would like to try the 50, 75, to 100 yards to see if I can see the same groups, but that meant going out in open country...perhaps one of these days. So if you in the new to PCPs and want an middle priced, accurate, with a 10 shot repeater, do yourself a favor and run to your nearest Benjamin Marauder dealer.

    Things I liked:

FLEXIBILITY. I have never had a gun that allowed so much control over the shot string and trigger. Accuracy is great - BUT, you have to find the pellet your gun likes.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the baffles in the shroud fit more snugly - I fear that pellets with large skirts may wind up clipping the baffles if they are off-center even a little.

    What others should know:

I have #208. I first tried JSB pellets - it didn't shoot them well. So, I decided to try Crosman Premiers. I figured that it must shoot them well, since the gun was designed to shoot crosman ammo. Still, no! I was starting to think I had a "dud". So, I bought a 25 pellet sampler (google "pellet sampler"), and found out that my gun is as good as ever. I just need to feed it Beeman FTS dbl gold, or Beeman Kodiak/Kodiak dbl gold. So, now I have a near-silent, fully customizable PCP, that shoots light out. How can I give anything less than 5 stars when you consider the modest price (compared to European models).

    Things I would have changed:

    Nope.

    What others should know:

It is very easy to double load a pellet. Once you cycle the bolt you will advance the pellet and load on top of the first pellet. Result is that you will shoot two "flyers" I guarantee you it will happen to you so watch out!

    What others should know:

Overall quality was great but when I got mine I sighted it in and at some point noticed that the barrel band was pushing the barrel to one side. After correcting the barrel band it shot 2 feet to the left. Now it is sighted in as well. So when you get yours check the barrel band. It is supposed to be free on all sides.
