Lightweight rifle, easy to carry it's very accurate using JSB Jumbo RS. 3/8" groups at 25 yards

The cocking effort is very high compared to the discovery due to a short high coil count spring. High comb, great for scopes shooting, not for iron sights. Trigger is not by any means amazing, but usable and reliable. Can modify if needed.

so far love it i seem to be able to drop pellet after pellet through the same hole at 25 yards with 22 cal jsb 18.13gr pellets

the trigger is the only thing that i will be looking to change out rite away. it could use a repeating breech with mag loading it takes a little getting used to with a scope on it

I like lightness of the rifle and it is easy to handle. You get a lot of shots per fill, if you don't get a leaker as my first one did. But many thanks to Pyramyd Air, they sent a replacement.

I would like a better none slippery butt pad because if you sit this gun upright on a hard surface, it will slide down.

I mounted a 3x944 UTG scope and medium ring mounts on mine and removed the sight. This is one little tack driving rifle, shooting crosman pointed hunting pellets, premier hollow points,premier ultra mags, Benjamin Discovery, Beeman copper domed, the best being the JSB 15.89 and 14.35 on a calm none windy day at 35-40yards. More than enough accuracy to get any pest. the rifle seems to be slightly quitter than the Disco. The more you shoot it the better the bolt action get and I did not clean the barrel, yet.

Just come in from trying to sight this animal in, no luck because it shoots all over the place. Cleaned the barrel, nine swabs and they were still dirty. All I wanted was a plinker with accuracy and the low cost got me.

Higher cheek riser on stock, better butt pad

1- I received my rifle in excellent condition; on time; and with about 1,000 PSI. 2- After cleaning the barrel (not very dirty), I aired it to 2,000 PSI with about 50 pump strokes of the Benjamin hand pump. 3- After mounting a scope, I shot about seven Crosman Box Domes pellet to zero the scope. The next five shots were: one flyer and four that could be covered by a nickel. 4- The Maximus is comfortable light and amazingly accurate. 5- The barrel band hold the barrel nicely.

The sling studs needed to be drilled so that the Benjamin sling (purchased separately) would fit. The butt plate needs to be easily removable.

Light weight. Haven't really thoroughly tested yet, but after 10 pellets it is hitting my 2 inch metal target every shot at 35 yards. Shot count is about 20 per fill. Trigger is nothing to brag about . Noise is not too bad. Excellent gun for the for the money.

Finish could be better. Trigger could be better. Quality is good for a gun in this price range.

Go ahead and order one. It has met my expectations.

Very Impressed with this gun. it arrived right on time from pyramyd air. I received 30 shots average about 870 fps +/- with 14.3 CPHP.

For the price there isnt much you can change.

Be prepared to have some fun if this is your first gun or pcp. your going to want more and more.

3/4 in at 50 yqrd no wind resting on led sled using 16 gr air arms pellet .22 cal one hole at 26 and 40 yds 833 fps buy crono ( ben discovery is 844 same pellet ) . The 16 grain polymag are only 3/4 in groping at 26 yards 24 fp energy is good for any thing up to wood chuck with head shots out to 30 yards Gun is very quiet compared to my discovery pellet hinting target is louder then gun firing !! i am really impressed and no air leaks over night no needle movement at all i would give this a 6th star if i could Fred

Trickier needed work crosman fix the darn trickier on your guns !!!!!! it has ben over a decade now ???? and a simple longer adjusting screw is all it would take to make them really sweet

The gun is more accurate then i can shoot it even on a rest and 0 at 40 yards it is 1/3 in hi at 26 and 1 in low at 50 yards real sweet gun but not as pellet friendly as the discovery I purchased this Benjamin max for a cheep knock a round 4 wheeler scabbard gun as i do a lot of sweet corn fertilizing with my 4 wheeler and spraying
