Things I liked:

This is a very good airrifle for the money. I have one and i love it. Accuracy is great, the gun feels good, toss the scope as we all know they are give a ways. Put a good scope on it,don't forget to replace the scope rings and you should be happy.

Things I would have changed:

Scope and rings

What others should know:

It's a little loud, clean it good if you get one. Don't use a wire brush on the barrel bore, use a plastic bore brush lightly and patches until clean.

Things I liked:

Its quite and cheap priced.

Things I would have changed:

The trigger, scope, and weight

What others should know:

the trigger is horrible, the scope is horrible Ive replaced the scope and it still shoots like garbage. Ive tried 8 different pellets in it and still cant get a consistent group. The bolts that hold the barrel to the stock keep loosing up with every shot so it makes accuracy impossible. Gun is heavy overall and the forgrip of the stock is square and balky. Was very disappointed with this gun.

    Things I liked:

The price. Seems to be decent quality. Heavy, which is good for rest shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

What do you want for $100 ? The trigger could be designed a little better. Hard to pull in the stock fashion. I pulled out the extra spring and it took some of the pull away. Helped. You can put a lighter spring in.

    What others should know:

The stock scope is a toy. Won't focus. I left it in it's packaging and put an older Simmons .22 Mag 3X9X40 on the rifle. I have fired about 250 shots through it at 25 yards. It's getting better. At times it will group at a quarter to half dollar at that range for a while, then it can still be all over place occasionally. I have been using the Crossman Premier Hollows for break in. I have taken 12 nuisance squirrels, and a chipmunk with it. The chipmunk was a 20 yard shot. Probably luck more than skill. I used Gamo Red Fire for the squirrels and chipmunk. Clean the barrel often especially with Premiers. They leave alot lead behind. I have gotten after two skunks in my yard with it at 15 to 18 yards with the Gamo Red Fires and they waddle off. They are hit but doesn't seem to do much. Reality, some people say 50 to 75 yards, no.. The rifle is dependable 90% of the time out to 20 yards. The rifle is a squirrel, chipmunk and rabbit gun. Racoons and skunks would take a lucky shot to the eye

    Things I liked:

2020 model has excellent suppressor. It can push Rabbit Magnum IIs over an inch into seasoned 6x2 board at 33 feet ...Accurately. Terminators are obscenely accurate in my Prowler. Everything air gun nuts want for $ 99.00.

    Things I would have changed:

I chose to get used to the trigger. Its still spot on what I aim at.

    What others should know:

Break in aided by spring cylinder oil. Get one before Crosman find out they overdid it!

    Things I liked:

I love this gun! it needs a good UTG scope and the barrel must be cleaned before you start to see how really good this thing is.I found the H&N Hornets .22 16.20gr were a laser on this thing at 25 yards all though it shot just about every pellet very well

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger! I had to take it out and polish and grease the sear pin and then it was fine but you can shoot it as is for the money it's a small issue.

    What others should know:

Just a very accurate rifle for a very good price and its a .22! so its great for chipmunks and squarells or just practicing you target skills.I really enjoy shooting this thing.

    Things I liked:

It's weighty enough to make controlling it easy. It's got medium power. It actually feels like a real gun, not these toy things. This is a pretty decent little pesting, plink, trainer gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I really cannot ask for much at The $99 price point that I got mine from Walmart. I literally walked past it on sale and made an impulse buy. I'm glad I did.

    What others should know:

Don't even try the scope that comes with it save your time. Buy some accushot mounts and buy a decent scope and you will be satisfied. My positive experience comes from a big box purchased 22 cal Chinese made weapon. I've waited over a year to review this. I've put over 2000 pellets through it. Super sorry about buddies problems, but I haven't had anything come loose, fall off or malaligned. Mine's been on numerous outdoor excursions, it's been rained on. I have not treated it like royalty and it's still functions flawlessly.

    Things I liked:

Absolute powerhouse in this price range. I was reaching out to 85 yards in .22 cal. and it smacked dirt HARD. Fantastic accuracy once it's broken in.

    Things I would have changed:

Good God THE TRIGGER!!!! Crosman seriously needs to take this one back to committee. The model I picked up from Wally World (2020) requires removing the trigger guard to adjust. I just let it be and forced myself to get used to it.

    What others should know:

Don't use a light grip with your trigger hand. Firm up, and get on that scope. It's going to jump, so break yourself of any flinching reflex while practicing. Took me approximately 150 shots to break in. The stock scope is not as bad as some have written elsewhere, but bring your allen wrenches to the range just in case (the mounts came loose a couple times but they're holding steady now).

Excellent .22 cal pellet rifle for the money imo. Installed an older Simmons 3-9x40 scope on it. Had a 3 inch group @ 10yds in the first 7 shots. Only using it for back yard critters, so probably never need to sight it in beyond 25 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing!

    What others should know:

The rubber muzzle break on the end of the barrel is actually JUST a rubber grip for cocking aide & is easily pulled off by hand with a little wrist strength! Did go over the gun & make sure that all screws were snugged tight.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing, it's the best you can probably get for this price range.

    What others should know:

There are a lot of complaints about the provided scope and rings, in fact that's why I decided to review this here as I bought mine from walmart. If you install them correctly they will work perfectly. There's a hole on the top of the rail, you need to line one of the rings (the one with 2 screws) up with this, and use the hex tool provided to tighten down the set screw from the ring into that hole. Also use locktite. I shot 259 times after zeroing it in, and it still groups dime sized at 30 yards, right on target. Held zero excellently. Yes the scope feels cheap, but install it correctly and it will likely work perfectly for you up to 40 yards or so. After that the fixed 4x zoom and the picture quality cause a few problems. The prowler is known to kill scopes, because people put rifle scopes that aren't designed for the unique recoil characteristics of a spring/NP air gun. The one provided will hold up fine. If not, they send you a new one free anyways, so at least try it first.

    Things I liked:

Price point is good enough to get a person started into air gun shooting/hunting. Rifle is well balanced, powerful, and very accurate if the shooter does their part properly. The scope is a basic optic, again allowing one to get into the air gun game with little cost. Mine was spot on after attaching.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps offer a bolt on moderator or incorporate sling attachments as most people will not use the scope for long if at all.

    What others should know:

This gun is LOUD. With no moderation, lighter pellets crack the sonic barrier and sound like a high powered .22 LR. However using 10 grain + pellets calms the noisy beast and provides plenty of knock down power for squirrel hunting. Also when one receives one of these rifles, remove the cocking grip on the end of the barrel and check for rust spots. Mine had 3, which were all buffed out with steel wool. Also run a quality cleaner and patches down the barrel as mine were brown colored, indicating rust inside the barrel. (But only a surface bit) Several cotton patches later it was clean and ready for shooting.

All air guns by this time should have weaver mounts! It would be nice of it could do 850FPS in .22 with Crosman Premier hollow points.

    Things I liked:

Before i say anything, this gun is fantastic! The sythentic stock and thumb rest design really gives this rifle the attention it deserves. Lightweight and very trail carry its perfect for shooting off the bench and for carrying it around...ive had this rifle for 3 years and it still works just like i bought it. Its a very tough rifle and will for sure be in your collection for a very long time...the sound isnt really that loud and i really like that because i live in a city area and so fsr i havent recieved any complaints...the power it has is pretty nice aswell! It delivers a good wallop and smashed straight through plywood. Very good hunting good, just need to find the perfect pellet...another thing i like about this rifle is the price. Its just unbeatable. Its very under the radar but its up their with those high end rifles...only thing i can complain about is the 4x32 scope that comes with it. Took me a while to sight so i switched to a simmons 3-9x32. Very acurate and consistent.

    Things I liked:

I will be honest. I purchased this rifle over similar rifles because it says Benjamin on it. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the named it shared with me wasn't its best quality. This rifle, when accurately sighted in with a well performing pellet (and a new scope), can be shot to distances over 50 yards. The piston works beautifully. The relative quietness of the shot keeps small game from spooking away like they do when firing .22 rimfire rifles. While weighty, the Prowler packs a punch. This rifle almost begs you to shoot a heavier .177 pellet. Shooting a 10 grain pellet gives you an advantage on larger pests. I've killed multiple rodents, squirrels, groundhogs, birds, and porcupines with ease. I highly recommend this rifle if you take the time to find the right ammo for your use and replace the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope included with the gun is useless. That is NOT an understatement. The rifle isn't light and I've seen that cocking the piston mechanism can be difficult for some people. I'm not sure if I would change those two things, but now you're aware od them. I would change the scope, or not bother having one. You cannot see much of anything through it anyway.

    What others should know:

The two most accurate pellets I have used so far have been the Benjamin domed pellets, which are an inexpensive option from Pyramid Air, and the 10.65g JSB EXACT Heavy Diabolos. The Benjamins represent a very accurate high-speed option that is great for birds and small targets like chipmunks. I was able to sight the JSB pellets so accurately that I could put 2 of 3 through a small bolt hole the width of a lead pencil. Those pellets put down huge porcupines from the top of trees in single head-shots. They are an impressive hunting option but difficult to find available. I recommend that you order some and wait. They will be worth the wait. I would stay clear of pellets over 11 grains for hunting. While they are fireable, I have tested many and they are not even mildly accurate past 20 feet. They still make for a fun time if you have something you want to shoot through. Enjoy this rifle! It's a Benjamin.

    Things I liked:

It's comfortable, quiet and decently accurate up to 75yds(4in group with Premier hollow point 14.3g)

    Things I would have changed:

Put an actual muzzle break or suppressor on it. The "fluted muzzle brake" is actually just a plastic sleeve for looks. Instead of a dovetail rail(I can't stand dovetails) it needs a pictany rail. Needs a more sensitive/responsive trigger with way less travel(I've lowered the pull as much as possible). The scope is garbage, I'll get a near pinpoint shot at 75yds then the next shot is 5-6ft up-left or up-right or down-left.(and yes all screws are tight) The scope seems to knock itself out. I've maxed out the scope dials in both directions trying to walk it in to the target. Simply put, the CenterPoint 4x32 scope is just bad.

    What others should know:

This is probably a decently accurate rifle but I wouldn't even try to use the scope that comes with it. Buy a good scope that you can consistently and reliably zero in.

    Things I liked:

Price is great Very solid feeling gun, not cheap. Stock - Much better than the Maximus stock nice rubber butt pad and not hollow sounding. Trigger - while not great is much better than Maxumus Cocking effort - much smoother than my Beaman .177 springer pellet seating - not super tight like some guns, easy to load

    Things I would have changed:

Scope is junk but for the price its good enough They rated the .22 at 22 FPE this is a bit misleading. I've shot .22 cal pellets from 13.8gr to 18.3 grams and I can't get it over 17 fpe. All the 15gr to 18gr pellets are less than 670 fps. So what pellet did crosman use to get 22 FPE? Is this just marketing. I get 16.5 FPE which is good for a spring gun and its more accurate than my beaman springer.

    What others should know:

Great nitro piston for the money. Good to around 35 yards Yes you can shoot it further but accuracy will tank.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is extremely accurate. I have had excellent luck with H&N field target trophies, cphp do well and Benjamin destroyers too. It will shoot clover leafs at 20 yards easily. This rifle is so accurate I find myself having to challenge my self at further than normal distances. I have taken rabbits at 43 yards with one shot. Point, aim click.

    Things I would have changed:

The muzzle brake on the rifle feels cheap, I pulled mine off wet sanded it with 400 grit and sprayed it with rustoleum bedliner. Has great texture and not shiney black plastic now. I pulled my rifle down before firing it, de burred everything, honed my compression cylinder. I believe this helped with accuracy and function.

    What others should know:

This rifle is not very hold sensitive. It has great power and takes small game without a problem out to 50 yards. For the money this rifle is amazing. It won't win any beauty contest, but it's an amazing shooter. I wet sanded my whole rifle, with 400 grit. Painted it rustoleum nutmeg satin. Which is like desert khaki. Put a strip of bedliner Spray on the bottom of the rifle and muzzle brake. I did leave all the checkering, blued steel and recoil pad as is. The rifle looks amazing.

Smooth and quiet cocking effort Best 4 x 32 scope I ever received in a package. Very, very, Accurate, nice trigger, very easy to shoot well Lack of iron sights permits a low scope position. Safety that stays where it is put shot after shot.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer a AO scope as an option is the only possible improvement.

    What others should know:

Feels very nice in the hand, Stock fore end is smoothly curved and substantial in width. The supplied scope is actually very usable, even at 10 meters. Sharp and clear, not as "bright" as some but nice for the price.

    Things I liked:

The firing cycle is a quick 'thwack' and the gun is pretty quiet. The accuracy is great. Shoots pretty fast compared to my Crosman Quest which is basically a spring version of the same gun in a different stock

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is better than others from Crosman I've had in the past but the second 'stage' is still a mile long. The included scope didn't last long either

    What others should know:

Doesn't seem very hold sensitive but I've owned two NPXL 1100s in the past. The included scope was giving me 3/4" groups at 30 yards until the break in was over after 250-300 shots, then I couldn't seem to do better than 2". With a different 4x AO it shoots better than I can, the shots that aren't my fault make groups that are probably 3/8" at the same distance. After the break in (no more smoke in the barrel, tight extreme spread, about 300 shots) it threw HN FTT @ 915 fps, HN Cudas around 850 I think, and CPHP somewhere around 970. After removing factory oils from the inside and honing the inside of the compression tube before a dab of moly paste, after another hundred shots or so I'm now sending HN FTT around 951fps ave and the only shot over the chrony with a Red Fire was 992, both of which share the same POI at 30 yards.
