    Things I liked:

Accuracy is on point once sighted in, the piston system is very powerful and the rifle looks great. I definitely recommend it. Kurt

    Things I would have changed:

This is an excellent air rifle, it looks great and after i sighted it in it was VERY accurate. I'm having tons of fun with it and the price is very reasonable. I am using a center point 4x32 scope instead of the scope that comes stock.

    What others should know:

I got EXCELLENT customer service from pyramid air, they were really helpful with my questions especially about sighting the scope in.

    Things I liked:

i like look and feel. great power for distances i'm shooting. good weight and balance. they say "needs a better scope" i find it'll do just fine and adds to the callange and skillset needed. works best with reactive targets, this thing has a real bad habit of using the same hole when shooting on paper. i thought i bought junk till i saw the big hole in plywood behind the paper. reactive, yes, see what you hit.

    Things I would have changed:

maybe add spare seals. they say ignite has poor support, but in two years and several products i've had no need to contact them.

    What others should know:

tear it all down, its what they say it is: solid, accurate, great value. just a kick in the pants fun bought second one for my bosses son 13 years old, he agrees

    Things I liked:

this rifle shoots hard for a .177 cal. also has a pretty good kick. once I scoped it in with the included scope it was very accurate at about 50feet with crosman hollow point pellets

    Things I would have changed:

the bipod is very sloppy, not solid, the scope is okay.the rifle is basically well built and seems that it will hold up over tme

    What others should know:

if your looking for a good .177 rifle in this price range you can't beat it

    Things I liked:

I purchased this rifle a few weeks ago. The first shot was loud. It was loud as a 22LR. After reading about dieseling online I immediately dropped some fishing line though and pulled through a cloth patch, it came out greasy and dirty looking. Next shot and it was a lot quieter. Now after 160 shots its what you would expect an air rifle to sound like, much much better. Now for how it shoots. After fitting the scope it took me 5 pellets to zero in. It was very close right out the box once fitted. I was able to hit a 3 inch plates out at 36 yards FIRST shot. Then I hit a small bottle of water I hung from a tree out at 50 yards, My first shot, I aimed at the top of bottle. The shot hit a little above middle. This rifle is really a very accurate gun rifle. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull was kinda long. Made an adjustment to the screw and it seem to tighen it and it seem to change a bit.

    What others should know:

Looks very cool. And for the money, you cant go wrong. (smile)

    Things I liked:

This is a menacing looking rifle, even close up. It chronied out at 1296 fps with Gamo Alloy Pellets and an average 1081 fps w/Crosman Destroyer 7.90 grain pellets. The sound was more than I expected, considering it is a gas-piston operated device. I'll get used to it. My closest neighbor is my daughter and she will get used to it. Even though I used 8 or more patches to get it clean, my pellets are showing me no shot pattern at 25 feet - about 3 inches, compared with my Beeman R1, about 3/4 inch. May check with you later if any improvement. The bipod legs work well and are necessary, considering the weight of the rifle - 10 pounds. I'm already used to the trigger, which I think is not bad. The adjustable comb works fine, even though I have not found it necessary to adjust it from the position it was when received. The price was fair, especially with the $30. discount. The scope mounted nicely but was way off to the left. Needs adjustment (by me).

    Things I would have changed:

Better scope, but perhaps this one will turn out to be OK with time.

    What others should know:

Clean, clean, clean the dirty barrel.

    Things I liked:

This is a Good value for the money as it is nicely made for an all plastic rifle but all of barrel and cylinder seem to be well finished and it shoots pretty accurately and the included Bi-pods and scope are nice extra in the package.

    Things I would have changed:

I think the only two things I would like to see changed are 1)It is on the loud side even with heavy pellets. 2)The hand grip is very large for anyone with small to medium sized hands. 3) Scope is usable but I replaced it with a UTG 40mm.

    What others should know:

For the overall price I am very pleased with this rifle you get a quality piece that has good accuracy with a scope and Bi-pods included.

    Things I liked:

I picked this thing up at chinamart yesterday for $148 and have to say, first shot was so loud I looked at the wife and said this has to go back. It was easy as loud as a 22LR. After reading about dieseling online I immediately dropped some fishing line though and pulled through a cloth patch, it came out greasy and dirty looking. Next shot and it was a lot quieter. Now after 150 shots its what you would expect an air rifle to sound like, much much better. Now for how it shoots. After fitting the scope it took me 4 pellets to zero in. It was very close right out the box once fitted. My 8 year old son hit a 3 inch plate out at 35 yards FIRST shot. He then hit a small bottle of water I hung from a tree out at 60 yards, First shot, I had told him to aim for top of bottle. He hit it a little above middle. This thing really is a very accurate rifle. I am very happy with my purchase.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is very long. Tried to adjust it with the screw but not sure what happens when I tighen it. it doesnt seem to change anything.

    What others should know:

    Looks very cool.

    Things I liked:

I like the weight. It eliminates a lot of problems with proper hold and trigger pull the lighter ones have. I can hunt with it from a makeshift bench. Great rat popper from single position. Same thing with quail dove and rabbits. Find where they are and set up and wait. They will come to you. Works for me, but then I'm old too. Like most other reviews I find it very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Define whether it's 'gas piston' or 'springer'. Springers are limited to type of scopes you can use. Beats the doodoo out of them. Gas piston adds more options for scopes. Would also give me a better understanding of what night vision I could use on it. Which is it??? I did order the new ATN X sight 3-12 for my tac22 but may try it on this Black Ops .177. If I can work up the nerve.

    What others should know:

Some complain about it being loud. Use a pellet around the 9-10 weight. Slows it down below the sound barrier fps. 1000 fps is plenty for rats, quail, rabbits and dove. Trigger pull,, take up the slack and release the trigger then reengage the trigger and fire. Almost feels like a 2 stage if you do that. The scope is OK but I did change it out for a Hammer and lower rings. With the lower rings I couldn't get behind the scope correctly because of the adjustable cheek piece. So I removed the cheek piece. The valley left there was perfect for spot weld and the eye to scope alignment was correct. Problem solved. The more you use it the better it gets. Kind of like a new car. It doesn't come into it's own until you get about 25,000 miles on it. Everything has settled in and you get a more harmonious outcome. Like I said, I like the weight of this. It soaks up some of the quirks the lighter ones have. There were other things I wanted to mention but forget right now, like I said, I'm old.

    Things I liked:

I like that this gun is heavy! It isn't made for hunting, nor is it made for kids, or most women! It's a man sized weapon, made primarily for bench rest shooting. It is made of heavy duty plastic and metal. Although it has a cheap toy like appearance, due in part from the country in which is produced (Shanghai, China), nothing could be farther from the truth. This gun is quality from butt to muzzle! Slap on a quality scope, mounts and rings, and you will have an inexpensive tack driver capable of outshooting most every other gun in its class - and many guns above its class!

    Things I would have changed:

If I was the manufacturer, first I would remove the childish "Black Ops" decals found everywhere on this gun. It is not a child's weapon, thus using such glitter is counter productive to the actual buyer's (adult) market. I would upgrade the 4x32 scope, rings and mounts that come with it, to a medium quality, higher powered variable scope (perhaps a UTG or Leapers 6-24x50 w/sunshade). Include, or make available, a kit containing shooting glasses, appropriately mated pellets, some targets and a hard case, and promote it as a bench rest rifle. That is what it really is! It is NOT a "hunting" rifle in the usual sense of the term, although it can be used as one. One would tire easily carrying this around for long. Yes, that "improvement" would increase cost, but what an improvement it would be! Nobody puts out anything as good, and it is doubtful they could do so and be competitive with the production costs inherent to Chinese manufacture.

    What others should know:

This gun is so nice, so inexpensive, so accurate, and such a pleasure to shoot! It puts a new description on what we think of when we hear the words "Made in China"!

    Things I liked:

I am very pleased with this gun. Not for small game only. Very accurate, no need to change the original scope yet, it works fine but once you realize how awesome this rifle works, you know that this rifle deserves an upgrade, the price allowes you to do that.

    Things I would have changed:

    Weight. 2 stage trigger.

    What others should know:

    This is a must have.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate excellent Bench Gun One inch groups at 50 yds in .22 2 inches in .177. Increased muzzle brake weight and heavy base creates tremendous stability

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is too long and weight too high. Gun is too heavy and too bulky to take hunting .Add a .22 option.

    What others should know:

This gun is made by Shanghai air rifles and shares identical parts with the Beeman RS2 because of this it is posssible to use a barrel off any Beeman RS2 type rifle .I have done this and now have a gun that shoots both .22 and .177. I have added a heavy muzzle brake and it is one of my most accurate air rifles.I prefer it in .22 caliber. The trigger seems more harsh than in the average RS2 and I wonder if Black Ops was responding to lawyers on that.

    Things I liked:

This gun looks good, is very powerful and very accurate. It's indeed a very good tactical looking gun. Some aspects of this gun are of good quality while others makes you have second thoughts about it. The way it cocks and closes, the silencer that really works, the trigger, and the overall looks are very good points. This gun can literally disintegrate an empty bottle of beer from 50 yards away and shooting a paper target as soon as I zeroed the scope I could put 5 shots in the same ragged hole at 25 yards. In the end this is a very nice and pleasant gun to shoot and because of that I'm going to give it 5 stars. As for the not so good aspects...

    Things I would have changed:

This gun is manufactured in China, but nowadays everything is made in China. As much as I can tell the product is designed and conceived in China and not under license of any US or European company, so it was some sort of a lottery acquiring this particular gun. Somehow I was hoping to have in my hands one of the good products that come from that side of the world. I'm not sure yet. That will depend on the evolution of events. I didn't like the scope and immediately substituted a different and more powerful one. One of the hollow screws that attach the bipod to the gun was completely stripped and that was a very big annoyance and absolutely unacceptable in a new gun. Makes you wonder about quality control. Knowing about the PyramydAir policy I knew I could immediately send the gun back, but I hate to send anything back so I tried to find a different solution. I went to Lowe's and Home Depot and I could find nuts that would fit and hold the bipod in place but those nuts are silver and not black (as a tactical gun should be) and that destroys the overall look of this particular gun and the looks are a very strong point considering you are buying a replica of a military gun. I contacted the manufacturer (or the company that represents it in the US) and I'm waiting for an answer from them. I shall make an update to this review when I have news. If they ever answer me.

    What others should know:

I could not measure the speed of the pellet as I don't have a device for that, but I'm sure the velocity is pretty decent. Surely no less than 1.000 fps. The advertized velocity of the projectile is supposed to be 1.250 fps but it has probably measured with alloy pellets and not lead. Although it's not mentioned on the description of the gun, or if you compare it to any other you can't see any point out about it, there is an automatic safety that engages every time you cock the gun. According to the manual and what I could understand from what says in the box, this gun uses what is called "Power Piston Technology" and it's gas powered and not spring powered. This gun has a very strong recoil but it's relatively easy to get used to it. If I can solve the stripped screw problem I may say that this gun was a very good deal.
