Things I liked:

Excellent accuracy ,Cocking mechanism,Build quality,Finish,Different look

Things I would have changed:

Rear sight needs more adjustability. I like everything else!

What others should know:

At first the pistol shot low,but according to advice elsewhere,I shimmed the rear sight with a piece of film.It now shoots to point of aim. After cleaning the throat, and slightly lubing the o-ring seal with Pellgunoil,I was rewarded with one group of 1/4 '',and one with at least 3 pellets in the same hole! T his was at 12 yards, with Hobby pellets,at 512 feet/sec.This pistol does require some getting used-to,as the cocking, and loading, are different. I was disappointed that I did not get a case,or pellets, like the european versions. Overall,I think it is very quiet, and powerful, for a pistol in this class. It is excellent, and highly recommended! Things I liked:

    Does not use CO2

    Things I would have changed:

less flimsy cocking mechanism, better quality sights, rear sight is not even adjustable for elevation, windage adjustment is a joke, only a lock down screw in a dovetail. The slide which allows access to breach loading is very difficult to work, you must push down on the cocking lever while pushing forward the slide, the chamber for pellet loading is not easy to access for consistent seating of pellet against lands and groves of rifling, finish is very poor, like a rough cast galvanized mess, safety mechanism is a joke, slides forward to lock down the cocking lever, does not even line up well, terrible design. Worst of all, accuracy seems terrible thus far, I am still trying different loading techniques and types of pellets, if it does not get better I will sell cheap, I would sell now for 50 less than I paid, unfortunately it's junk. It surprises me that others review positive. NRA High Master, PPC 1480 Club, don't claim to know everything, but this is my opinion.

    What others should know:

I have shot target center fire, rim fire and air guns for decades, wasn't expecting this to be a target gun, but thought it would at least be as good quality as Umarex Colt SAA, which I am still remarkably impressed with the quality of. This gun should cost 50 dollars.

    Things I liked:

This is my second time I'm writing this review. I wrote the first review before Christmas and it was not added here. I thought maybe because the review had some negatives. The silver finish is nice. The gun feels good in your hand. Easy to point and shoot. Accuracy seems okay at 15 yards but I need to do more testing. A short learning curve on loading pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Want a 22 cal instead of 177. Why does nobody not sell the Cometa Indian gun in 22 cal.

    What others should know:

Shooting test as soon as I received the cometa Indian. I'm in California. The temperature was 58 degrees. The 177 pellets used is 6 grams. Made in China. The advertised FPS is 500 fps and 492 fps. Start FPS 418 422 405 402.2 400 427.9 412 391.8 419.7 404.3 I was disappointed in the FPS. I know the industry uses alloy pellets in their advertisments instead of the real world using lead pellets. When the wheather gets warmer I will test with different pellets.

    Things I liked:

I just recieved this gun and wanted to check the fps. I read people are getting 500 fps. Im not getting anywhere near that. Im in California , the temperature is 58 degrees. The pellets are some Chinese 177 pellets 6 grams. In sequence fps, 418,422,405,402,400,427.9,412,391.8,419.7,404.3 This is the first time I shot this gun. I will try again when the temperature gets warmer. Grease is squeezing out of the top of the cometa Indian. That's because of the newness of the gun has extra grease inside the gun. So I'm hoping after the breakin period the fps will get better. But on final note I do like the Cometa Indian. I wish I could get it in 22 cal. I looked all over and the 22 cal version is only sold outside the USA.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull is heavy. Would like a 2 pound trigger.

    What others should know:

I don't know yet till the Cometa Indian is broken in at about at least 300 pellets gone through it first.

    Very powerful and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I had the cometa Indian for two weeks and had shot it frequently with no problems. One morning I began to cock it and I heard a muffled pop and the cocking handle now swings freely. The gun is still under warranty so l sent it back for a replacement. The company was very helpful.

    What others should know:

I believe the problem I had with my cometa Indian was a rare occurance.I believe the design of the pistol is sound in every way.

    Things I liked:

I've been looking at this pistol for a long time before pulling the trigger on it. The price was the only thing holding me back, but i finally decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I did so because it is a very different looking and operating spring powered pistol. It has a nice heft to it,the ergonomics are pretty good,it is very accurate at times(explanation below) and is well balanced. I bought the nickel one, and it just has a very "cool factor" look to it! It is very well made with mostly metal components. I also like that it has a cold hammered forged fixed barrel.

    Things I would have changed:

A gun in this price range and it's intended purpose of being not necessarily a competition gun but a good target gun should have fully adjustable rear sights, not just windage! The trigger pull should also be a lot lighter, though it does break very crisp. Make it with a gas piston instead of a spring!

    What others should know:

This gun could be an awesome target pistol with mentioned improvements. Accuracy is very good, And to achieve the accuracy, you most clean the barrel very well and often. I could be "robin-hooding" shots and then it would look like I was firing a machine gun. Maybe still getting broken in, but I have fired roughly 500 shots already. Also, there is no way this gun cocks at 6 to 8 pounds like advertised. It;s not horrible but mine feels more like 20 to 30 pounds respectfully. All- in- all, it is still a very cool gun to own, and shoot! I haven;t chrony;d it yet but the power is not bad, not a powerhouse like some of the magnum breakbarrel pistols, but more than most. But this is more of a target gun and it does a fine job of hitting the 10 ring if not one big hole if you do your part.

    Things I liked:

This well made pistol is built like a tank, and what little plastic there is, is not on parts that are stressed. The trigger is a smooth single-stage with a clean break, and has no adjustment. The rear sight is adjustable for windage only. From 10 yds. mine was shooting 1 1/2" low, and so, it was a simple matter of shimming the rear sight to bring it on target. I've found the accuracy to be on par with a Beeman P-1, though it's not nearly as hold sensitive. The cocking is very light, and it's a simple matter to place a pellet onto the breech. The nickel finish is plated, not paint. A unique and very cool pistol that's a delight to own and shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

Though it's easy enough to shim, a vertical adjustment of the rear sight would be most welcome.

    What others should know:

Since there's a thumb rest on the left grip, the Indian is primarily for RH shooters.

    No co2 or pumping air

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

It's made very solid. It takes a few hundred shots to brake it in and after that it shoots very smooth. It packs a whollop at around 500 fpe with lead pellets. It definitely is not made cheap. It's mostly metal and very sturdy. It's easy to cock and I'm very happy with this purchase. There are cases you can buy for the pistol that are specaly made for them that make keep it safe and clean.

    Things I liked:

Rugged construction, fixed barrel, quite accurate when I do my part, with a nice smooth quiet firing cycle. Unique geared over lever cocking mechanism and nickel finish. Nice to have black sights on a nickel finished gun.

    What others should know:

It took around 300 shots to settle down, but now shoots to point of aim at 33'. I was initially considering modifying the sights for adjusting elevation as it shot a bit low out of the box, but since it settled down it has shot very well centered groups with several different types of pellets. Very similar to my old Webley Premier in firing behavior, requires focus, a consistent grip and follow through for best results.
