    Things I liked:

Perfect Combo: Purchased this pistol; and the Crosman 1077 rifle sporting a wood stock. Both guns as a combination are a perfect fit. ( Crosman, are you listening ? ) Both offer full strength shots for 4 magazines worth. At least 2 additional magazines worth are possible but with reduced power and accuracy. The rifle is good out to 25 yds, the pistol is good out to 20 yds. Best at 15 yds. The look and feel of both are very impressive. Since purchase I have about 1000 rounds shot through each. Each gun has a great conservation of Co 2 gas. I mean that when tightening the screw for the Co 2 cartridge, only a quarter of a turn is required and very little gas is expelled while tightening.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing as far as the pistol is concerned. Other than possibly offering an adjustable rear sight. Although it is really not needed. The rifle has a plastic magazine and receiver, would prefer metal. Do not know how long the plastic will last with prolonged use. ( Crosman are you listening ? )

    What others should know:

Cannot fathom why anyone would write a review as they are opening the darn box. Wait till you shoot the darn thing and have at least a 1000 rounds down range. I had to exchange the first pistol; for a second. The magazine consistently fell out of the grip after every shot. The exchanged pistol; has so far worked without deficiencies. No problems experienced yet with the rifle. The pistol came with a holster. All for the same price as the non blow back version.

    Things I liked:

Feels like the real thing, it has the weight. Have now gone through 10 CO2s and about 500 BBs and it is still performing well. Shooting in a cooled basement at about 68 - 70 *F. Have not tried this outside where its about 90 - 100 * F but would expect a longer lasting CO2 at higher temps. and also a faster BB.

    Things I would have changed:

I like the 20 BBs that the 'magazine' holds but it can be a pain to load, one at a time. And when releasing the spring if one does not press securely against the first BB it will be ejected. So I would like to see a system where one could pour in the BBs and release the spring without loosing a BB. Other than that this is a really good BB gun.

    What others should know:

This is a very realistic BB gun copy of the 1911... do not wave this around outside you, may get shot by the police! The slide does not always lock after shooting the last BB. And yes always add a drop of PellGun oil to the tip of the CO2 cartidge prior to loading it.

    Things I liked:

Realistic slide and metal feel, also has semi-realistic recoil to it.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it able to fire with hammer not just trigger pull.

    Things I liked:

I like the way the BB' were able to load by holding down the magazine follower, also the rapid fire on this air pistol was very good. As fast as you could pull the trigger it would fire. Price was very good for this type of air pistol.

    Things I would have changed:

I would put an adjustable rear sight and if possible fire this gun single action by pulling the rear hammer,

    What others should know:

Double action was not that bad but whoever wrote that this air pistol will go through both sides are a soup can was not true, unless I got a lemon or the temperature was not at where it should have been. When the temperature starts to warm I will chronograph this air pistol to see if the velocity is what they advertise. This air pistol was only fired at about 10 feet in a basement with a pellet trap and the BBs bounced out.

    Things I liked:

Great feel and weight. Good power and co2 consumption.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull very heavy and my finger slides down into the bottom of the trigger guard that has a v grover so single action would be great. It get painful after repeated shooting.

    What others should know:

Same coments about the mag. I tryed to shorten the spring, big mistake now it dosn't eject the bbs but it dosnt stop the slide on the last shot or shoot the las bb. The heavier lead excite smart shot BBS I just got seem to work better. Crossman will have mags available by mid April. $11.50

    Things I liked:

I like that crosman made this pistol powerful and have a high shot count per co2 powerlet! I have seen a video where this pistol shot 80 rounds over a chrony between 405 fps and 460 fps...that is awesome! The look and feel of this pistol is perfect, it feels like an extension of my hand and once I got used to the trigger pull, this gun put rounds with a half inch of where I was aiming from 10 meters away.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing...iam grateful for these new designs in air pistols were the barrel is the hammer...it must be why they seem to be the most powerful semi automatic bb pistols available.

    Things I liked:

Realistic looking and feeling pistol. Great consistent power! This pistol blasts steel BB's straight thru Campbell's soup cans! Literally shreds and tears the cans up! Loud and powerful for a BB pistol, and rather accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. I understand that Crosman made compromises in the design so this could be realistic and powerful with a high shot count per co2 powerlet.

    What others should know:

Oil your co2 seal to ensure a long & healthy life for your GI model 1911BBb co2 pistol.

    Things I liked:

I like everything about how this Gi 1911BBb co2 pistol looks and feels to hold and shoot. Iam glad that Crosman made it shoot hard instead of using more co2 for functional blowback...double action is fine with me as long as the pistol has a consistent high velocity. I have shot 90 rounds with one co2 powerlet and the first rounds went thru a Chrony between 405 fps and 455 fps!!! The last 10 rounds' velocity dropped to 350 fps-380fps!!! That is rather consistent power and a heck of alot of shots from one co2 powerlet! I haven't had any problems with loading BB's.

    Things I would have changed:

A functional hammer would be nice. Single & double action as well.

    What others should know:

If you want to enjoy years of trouble free shooting then it is up to you to take care of your air pistol! Pellgun oil works like magic!

    Things I liked:

Very nice appearance with even satin black finish showing no defects; nice heft in weight - not toy-like light and not too heavy. Great system for piercing CO2 with not a hint of leaking while piercing. My grips were brown as shown and had a fair resemblance to rather plain walnut. Perfect function of both pistol and magazine with none of the difficulties described in the earlier reviews. Sights are well regulated for the ammo I was using and accuracy was okay. My experience tells me that trying different BB's will likely produce one or two that give better results.

    Things I would have changed:

There is not a lot of room in between the trigger and the front of the trigger guard and it is a snug fit for my fore-finger but not really bad. I did find the trigger reach to be just a little longer for my fat short fingers. The pull is also long and heavy and there is no single-action stage to the trigger after the initial pull as the hammer does not have a sear but only rotates on the axis back and forth. Therefore the trigger action is double only. I did find the trigger to be smooth with a consistent let-off so that I could stage the pull and hold just before let-off to make sure of the final sight alignment without pulling the shots. I still would have preferred a short and crisp single action option as can be found on many semi-auto pistols.

    What others should know:

Two comments on the magazine. I found the one I had functioned perfectly. I took two precautions to preserve good operation. One, I always held my finger against the topmost BB as I was letting down the follower gently and I never intend to let the follower slam home. Two, I always depress the magazine catch button when installing the magazine to prevent forcing the magazine past the catch. I think this may help prevent problems described in other reviews.

    Things I liked:

Design, feel, heft, realism, price... all the obvious features that make this gun pretty much sell itself. Accurate to a point, rapid firing causes CO2 to chill, lowering gas pressure at the end of a run.

    Things I would have changed:

Add an extra mag. I like the 20 round capacity, but after about 500 shots or so, the bearing surface of the bb hopper wears down and all your bb's spill out.

    What others should know:

Like many similar style guns, this one drops a bb or two when releasing the magazine before it's empty. The plastic cover for the grip can become loose. This sometimes causes the CO tool to fall. Just make sure it's tight.

    Things I liked:

Credible replica of a WWII vintage military M1911-A1 pistol. Articulated slide, hammer, and grip safety, none of which are functional. Looks, heft, and feel are very close to the prototype right down to the military style sights, vertical slide serrations, and the lanyard loop on the base of the grip. There are no outward giveaways like CO2 knobs that tell you this is a BB gun rather than a firearm so caution in handling and transport are important.

    Things I would have changed:

No, it clearly has a design concept that was well executed. I can't think of any minor change I would make.

    What others should know:

The slide does not set the hammer so the trigger is typical of a semiautomatic BB gun, long and heavy double action compared to the short crisp single action pull of a 1911, if you have ever fired one you know what I mean, if you have not it doesn't make any difference. The magazine is a robust metal unit with a spring follower and a loading stop that is easy to use. The magazine occupies the front part of the grip and is released with the standard 1911 magazine release button. The CO2 cartridge is loaded in the grip by snapping off the left grip panel which releases an also very robust Allen wrench that is used to operate CO2 capsule piercing screw. The blow back slide does give a mild sense of firing, much better than a BB gun but still a little faint for my tastes. Accuracy is not all that good due to the heavy trigger. If you are looking for a firearm simulator the Walther PPK/S BB pistol is a better choice but if you love the 1911, especially the historical military variant this is about as good as it gets.

    Things I liked:

The hex wrench built into the handle. The feel. The CO2 consumption. Number of shots and the max velocity. Worked well.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make the grip safety functional.

    What others should know:

The blowback does not cock the gun. It is double action only. The hammer is not functional.

    Things I liked:

The build and heft of this pistol looks like a 1911 firearm. It seems that it's made mostly of metal.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make the trigger pull lighter.

    What others should know:

I ordered the Pyramydair 10-for- $10 test. For ten shots the average muzzle velocity is 395.06 fps with a high of 398.91 and a low of 389.26. The temperature was not recorded in the certificate. Pyramydair should specify this when testing CO2-powered guns. The pistol shoots hard. At 20 ft the BB's penetrate a Campbell's can. I did not test this at 25 ft as I can't shot accurately at that distance because of the very heavy trigger pull. In spite of this it's fun shooting this pistol especially when you do rapid firing. One CO2 cartridge is good for 100 shots. This is at a temperature of 76 deg F. The grip is black instead of brown as shown on the box. It says it's a limited edition black tactical grip. It looks very nice though. This is an ideal gift to an air gunner for under $100. Even when not shooting it I enjoy looking and holding the pistol because it looks like the "real" thing.

    Things I liked:

It is all metal. It is the most powerful pistol of its class. Shatters a glass bottle at 7 yards easy. Love the way the slide locks back when the magazine is empty.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is too thick and long pull. The hammer is fake and it won't field strip like a true replica. It is made in Taiwan and so it has a very real look,be careful when carrying it. I got black grips on a black gun, very cool.

    What others should know:

This is the Crosman version of the 1911, so the grip safety and the hammer don't work. It shall probably last long as it is all metal. Even with the long trigger pull it is possible to shoot very fast and empty the magazine. Will make you laugh at how real it feels.
