Accuracy, handling and balance, price

Things I would have changed:

Durability!

What others should know:

I bought this pistol in May of 2015, shot it rarely, probably under 250 pellets fired through it. I just sent it back to Crosman Corp due to the cocking lever that had become so loose and floppy, that it actually wore out the compression seal in the compression chamber and was leaking while you pumped it. I talked to a tech rep at Crosman and from my description, he agreed it was probably worn out. After only owning it for less than a year, money back was not an option, they would only replace it with another. It cost me 20 dollars to ship it back. Just thought this might help someone else in their decision on whether this pistol is a sound investment. Thanks for listening.

Really enjoying the Crosman 1322 with shoulder stock. My grandson really likes it because its not to heavy for him and its a good fit in his arms. The wife likes it to, thats a plus.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice to attach a scope or red dot finder without having to replace the breach.

    What others should know:

The gun seams to be pretty strong in the .22 cal. Just shoot and enjoy it.

    What others should know:

barrel is loose so clamp on optic mount dosen't really work with red dot or scope but factory sights stay still and are pretty accurate

    Things I liked:

Good looking. Easy to hold with a natural and comfortable grip. Easy to power up, unlike the Umarex Strike Point and very accurate at distances up to ~10yds with three pumps (the Strike Point is similarly accurate). Quiet with a low number of pumps (3 to 5). Good balance and exceptional handling: it's surprisingly lightweight, another big difference from the Umarex Strike Point. The sights are basic but do the job: the rear sight is super-easy to adjust and can be used to good effect for better accuracy: in this regard particularly the sights on the Crosman beat the sights on the Umarex hands down. The shoulder stock is an incredibly useful accessory: in this 'carbine' configuration it's even easier to shoot with great accuracy (this is a must-have accessory for accurate shooting) -- Umarex is missing the bus by not having a similar accessory available for their popular air pistol. Many possible modifications, unlike the Umarex. Optics can be added, also unlike the Umarex.

    Things I would have changed:

More power. I'd like to have more oomph for pest control, although that would of course make it at least a little harder to pump. The Umarex Strike Point hits with much greater authority at all power levels. For target shooting and plinking, this air pistol is as close to perfect as I can imagine, and the price is exceptional, especially considering how much fun it is to shoot this classic (the Strike Point from Umarex does beat the 1322 for lowest price as of September, 2021).

    What others should know:

This thing is the bomb! I have some nice, some sweet and even a couple of pretty darned good air rifles, but my Crosman Drifter and 1322 w/shoulder stock provide me with much more fun and see FAR more regular use than any other airgun I have (or even want). In fairness, I have to include my Strike Point from Umarex in this favorites group too, but without a readily available shoulder stock (a modification I intend to djinn up and implement on my own using existing parts, as well as the ability to add optics), it gets less use than the Crosman air pistols). I really liked my Umarex Strike Point, but I absolutely LOVE this awesome shapeshifter, especially with the shoulder stock attached. This air pistol is called the "American Classic" for a VERY good reason. It's great fun as a pistol, too much fun with the stock attached (and the Drifter is all that with a longer barrel and enough juice for small-game hunting thrown in for good measure) and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Sighted in at 25 yards and shooting very tight and consistent groups with 10 pumps. Great plinking setup. The shoulder stock helps and improves in keeping keeping the air gun steady.

    Things I would have changed:

Provide a longer barrel configuration purchase.

    What others should know:

Adding a longer barrel to this configuration seems to have helped with power and distance down range.

    Things I liked:

Right out of the box at 10 yards and ten pumps I was shooting 1 1/2in above the bullseye. No need for windage adjustments as it was dead center with the notch sites. I lowered it down to 4 pumps and it was spot on. 10 shot 10 yard groups are right around half an inch with crosman 14.3 domes. I am blown away with how accurate this is with the carbine stock. I can hit spinners at 25 yards (furthest I have since the ground is still frozen).

    Things I would have changed:

The front sight has a very small lean to the left, but hasnt affected my accuracy with the notch. The top of the grip near the breach rubbed my thumb raw... Im either pumping weird or its too rough at that spot.

    What others should know:

This thing is accurate for its price range! Im honestly shocked how well it shoots. Im a big guy so pumping is easy, even up to 10. I can shoot for hours and show no fatigue. Im definitely a 1322 fan, and can understand why its so popular. It can get loud... not a worry for me, but 6-10 pumps and your close neighbors will hear it. I will eventually buy a 1377 because this is such a good platform.

I like the way this gun shoots,it will surprise you.I like the look, especially with the rifle stock.I like the open sights.I like the on board power, just pump it up.I like everything about it.I also like the fast shipping from Pyramyd Air, they are always right on it.

    Things I would have changed:

    I don't think I would change anything but I wouldn't mind a folding stock.

    What others should know:

This gun really likes the crosman premiere domed ultra magnum 14.3gr. It will take rabbits and squirrels at 10 to 15 yards with 10pumps no problem.

    Things I liked:

Pumps smoothly and mounts to the shoulder quickly. The stock is solid with no wobble or twist. A bit nose heavy without the stock, but nothing to really whine about.

    Things I would have changed:

Almost impossible for me to get a good stock-to-cheek weld due to the very low rise of the stock comb. I have to place the stock's toe near the top of my shoulder pocket to get a weld but then the front sight ends up below the rear sight aperture. Adjusting to get a good sight picture puts the comb well below my cheekbone. Have to figure out some sort of cheek pad to make the whole thing work better. The sights have limited windage adjustment. I put the sight all the way to the left and I still am off about 2" horizontally at 20 yards. Elevation adjustment is crude but gets there eventually. Plastic breech block is ok but feels kind of cheap compared to the rest of the pistol. I'll probably replace it. Daisy Precision Max pointed and flathead pellets hang up when trying to chamber. Have to jiggle things around to get them to go in. Haven't tried others yet but these feed with no problem in my Crosman 1400.

    What others should know:

All quibbles aside, this is a fun pistol to shoot. A fun plinker, for sure, and a welcome trigger squeeze training tool given the price of centerfire and rimfire ammo today. This would be a good companion for backpacking trips where you plan to try and harvest squirrel or small rabbit for dinner.

    Things I liked:

Absolute classic. A great staple to get someone started plinking. The ability to shoot at different pressures just by the number of pumps is great for beginers and allows better PSOing new shooters.

    Things I would have changed:

well... things i did change. I purchased two as starters for my girls. the intent was to have an accurate, light, and capable starter pellet rifle. I added a steel breech kit, longer barrel, and LPA MIM rear sight. These simple mods turn the plastic american classic into a robust entry level pellet rifle. Best of all, if you are not so savvy on the mods, Pyramid Air will do them for you.

    What others should know:

Familiarize yourself with simple methods to improve accuracy such as recrowning the barrel as they are mass produced. This simple step helped greatly in the accuracy dept.

    Things I liked:

It's an accurate pump pistol for the price point. If you are the type that likes to tinker and mod stuff, this pump pistol is for you. There's a lot of aftermarket parts for every part of this pistol to make it perform even better and uniquely yours stylistically.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock trigger pull is around 5 to 6lbs out of the box, way too much effort to shoot accurately. You can compress the trigger pull spring yourself to lighten the pull or get aftermarket adjustable trigger pull mods to solve this issue. I bought two 1322 at different stores and at different times, both front plastic sights are bent slightly to the left. Might need to adjust the rear sight to compensate for accuracy or bend the leaf back straight with your hands. If you plan to use a scope, this wouldn't be an issue. I'm taking a star away for quality control issues here.

    What others should know:

There is a crosman steel breech upgrade you'll need to get if you plan to mount a scope securely. However, you might encounter pellets not loading smoothly or getting stuck in the steel breech due to the set screw in the breech not flush. It's a common problem with easy solution but I thought people should be aware of this potential problem when installing the steel breech yourself.

    Things I liked:

I'm super impressed with the consistency this little demon offers. I mounted a reflex sight using Buck Rail mounts and it's amazing. I'm consistently hitting a soup can draped over a stick jammed in the ground @ exactly 25yds (ranged) using Ruger Impact Superpoint 17g pellets. I tried shooting w/the stock to reach out more but need to figure out a raised cheek rest - reflex sight is too high for good field of view. I plan on doing some of the many power mods to juice up the power. Even after spending another $60 for upgrades, this thing will be well worth the investment. I've already improved my other pistol shooting skills from practicing on this one after compressing the trigger spring a tad in a vice for a lighter poundage of pull. Go for it - You won't be disappointed in this purchase!

    Things I would have changed:

Open sights are pretty crummy - If it had fiber optics, I may have not mounted the reflex sight.

    Things I liked:

Over all, the length is great. Put it up to your shoulder and bang, your sighted in to target. It is as light as a feather and I especially like the Trigger, pretty smooth. I bought this piece after watching many videos and thought it would be just the right tool for my tree rat problem. Well they must know it came in the mail because I haven't seen any in a week. I also like all the upgrades that are available.

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe start out with the steel breech and longer barrel on the stock item, I would pay extra for that right out of the box.

    What others should know:

It only gets harder after the 8th pump.
