Great starter gun

Buy a lot of ammo. Do not listen to what others say. This is a classic, it is extremely well built, very cheap, and has an overall great quality. Great starter gun. (Don't buy it if you already have any other air rifle, it is the first step.)

It is very very strong mine has lasted for years.As for accuracy the one I got soots to the right gust a bit but farly consestant.

Put a fiber optic front site on it,not a thing other than that.

Start a kid out with one.

if you use it on a hollow styrofoam target you will have to say goodbye to your bb's first as they will get caught in wall of target

lots of real metal and wood makes it feel like a real small cal riffie ! a great gun for starters or to get for your young shooters what i like to piont out is its accuracy it always seems to hit the mark ! a very enjoyable gun

For all intense and purpose this looks like the 1938 Red Ryder BB Gun that you grew up with. It is the perfect gun to start your Grandkids out with, take the time to teach them all the proper use of firearms.

I HAVE A FEW VERY POWERFUL AIR GUNS,, AND SOMETIMES WHEN THE WEATHER IS BAD I FILL A BOX WITH MAGAZINES AND SHOOT A FEW OF MY NOT TOO POWERFUL GUNS INDOORS..I WAS IN A SHOOTIN MOOD ONE DAY,BORED,SNOWING,ETC, LOOKED AROUND THE ROOM FOR A DIFFERENT TARGET WITH THE RED RYDER,SHOT A CAN OF DOG FOOD ,AND BELIEVE THIS ,IT WENT THROUGH THE CAN MEAT AND ALL.!!!!! [ and i bought this one factory refurbished for $ 25.00 ], so always use all air guns safely no matter what the FPS is.....!!!! Sincerely, Italian Redneck.

What's not to like about one of, if not THE most iconic airgun in the world? It has a real wood stock. It's quiet. It is a great trainer for a beginning shooter and it's a great nostalga/trip down memory lane piece for an older shooter.

The plastic cocking lever and the side door loading port. I much prefer the older front loading design where the muzzle is rotated to the side for loading.

It's a plinker BB gun. If you want to break balloons and bounce beer cans around the yard, this is the gun for you. It's not for hunting, it's not for precision marksmanship, it's for fun. Also, don't forget that BB's ricochet like crazy off any decently hard surface. Be aware of what's BEHIND you as well as what's in front of you and wear your eye protection (like you should any time you shoot),

My grandma got this for me(go figure) and it has a little bit of kick

The sights are adjustable in elevation, nice wood, large bb capacity, cheap price, and good for teaching your kids about gun safety. Also it's pretty easy to cock.

I would change the plastic parts to metal parts, but it would affect the price of the model. Another thing I would change would be accuracy, probably by making it a rifled peletgun, by doing that it would be more accurate but it would change the price of the gun from about $40 to about $70. also the gun would need pellets which cost much more than bb`s.

This is a very nice and accurate gun, it has a nice touch and feel when shooting. It is a easy to use great all around gun

I would make the gun go more faster, but it does the job.

This is a great beginner gun and would deffinetly recomend it for a first timer. Its decently fast, deadly accurate, and easy to shoot.

Easy cocking, fast repeat shots, not as dangerous as more powerful guns, low maintenance, barely ever have to reload

changing the cocking mechanism to pump action (theres already a model that has that though). increase power, enable use with pellets.

This gun is very easy and fun to play with, the power isnt significant so dont expect to go hunting or long range (20yards+). It has a very large BB storage built in and is easy to load. Just cup your fingers around the hole and start pouring away for hours of fun. I'm using my grandpas red ryder, from about 50 years ago. Besides the peeling paint, its still a joy to take out in the yard and shoot bee's and flys. To give a sense of the power, the gun cant penetrate a soda can, only on rare occasions will it penetrate. If the guns shot strait up, it takes about 6 seconds for the BB to come back down. This gun is best for younger children that are just getting started with shooting.
