Pyramyd doesn't give a lot of info on this revolver. Let it be known, this gun is made out of some type metal or aluminum. It's not magnetic, but it is HEAVY.This is NOT some cheesy plastic gun ! It comes in a blister pack with TWELVE shells and a speedloader.The grip and the tab to tighten the CO2 cartridge are the only plastic parts on this gun it seems. Some may complain of the plastic CO2 tensioning tab, but I bet it was made of plastic intensionally. (Better to have the tab break off, than ruin the whole gun if you go crazy on tightening the CO2 screw).

This Aftermath model is pretty much the same thing as the ASG model, Gamo and ASG partnered in production and sales so all aftermath products are pretty much ASG, just in North America. The gun itself has quite a realistic feel to it. The cylinder swings out to reveal six brass shell casings with hard rubber tips, you load the bb's into the top end of the shell and back into the cylinder. Sights are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, although the gun was pretty much sighted in when i got it. It does come with 6 extra shells unlike the ASG model and a speed loader.

The gun is mostly metal except for the CO2 screw tab, trigger, weaver rail, and grips which are a rubberized plastic. I would have made everything metal with the exception of actual rubber grips. I would have also made the barrel out of a heavier metal for i think it is a cast alloy of some sort. A spring loaded cylinder armature would have also been nice along with a more smooth action of taking the cylinder in and out of the gun. The trigger and hammer mechanism could have been a bit more smooth also.

I have had this gun completely apart and the inner workings are well put together and decent quality, its not a gun that will break or fall apart on you anytime soon. If you like CO2 replicas and enjoy shooting revolvers this is one to add to the collection.

The power is awesome. The 8 inch barrel revolver has a velocity up to 138mps! (=452 fps). And this revolver is EXTREMELY accurate! I can hit a 2inch circle target from a distance of 15m (=49ft) without any serious problems. In single action of course. About 6/10 of the bb's make a hit. The fake bullets are awesome, it is very close to reality. Out of one co2 cartridge I can get 90 shots. The weight of the revolver is also awesome, it has a good weight that makes it even more realistic.

I received my Dan Wesson bb Pistol today and her are my thoughts after the first C02 cartridge. First off this is the most accurate bb pistol I have owned I can consistently hit a 1.5" sticky dot at 20ft off hand using Daisy Avanti bb's. The build quality is very good for a bb pistol mostly nice heavy metal with plastic grips the finish on the gun is very good and seems like it will last very well too time will tell. The gun feels very nice in your hands at first I was worried it was a little front heavy but after I put the C02 and loaded the gun the balance was pretty good overall. I was happy to find that the USA version of the DW comes with 12 bullets/clips to house your bb's and a easy loader too. I was going to order a pack of clips but they were not available at time of purchase so the extra 6 was a welcome bonus. Also packaged with the gun is a small picatinny rail to mount your favorite scope or red dot etc to the gun and a owners manual which is more like a small folded insert than a booklet. Be careful when you open your gun one of the picatinny rail set screws was floating loose in the package. The action on this gun is nice and smooth the trigger has a very nice feel I prefer shooting is single action mode but dual action feels pretty good too. The sights are very good for a bb pistol and you can adjust windage and elevation which I have never had before on a bb pistol mainly because there not accurate enough to warrant it but trust me the DW is. If your looking for a bb pistol that will hang with a lot of pellet pistols in the accuracy department this is as close as it gets. The gun shoots hard and I would suspect the 500fps reports I read for the 8" version are true. I did my usual inspection along with oiling of the moving parts to get the smoothest action I can from the gun. After my first full C02 threw the gun I would give this gun an easy 8 out of 10 and am really looking forward to them releasing the 6" inch chrome version here in the USA as well. I would highly recommend Avanti Precision bb's and if you order them from Pyramyd you can take advantage of there by 3 packs get 1 free. Thanks I hope you enjoyed my review. Tim A. aka windtek

I would have like to have seen a nicer set of grips on the DW they are not cheap cheap plastic but a little nicer quality would have been appreciated along with a metal turn for the C02 instead of the plastic one these are very minor complaints for the gun overall is very nice. The packaging was a bit of a disappointment for a gun that retails for $150 ( I payed $120 from Pyramyd) it should have at least come boxed like the Euro version but instead here in the States we get blister pack which I hate this stuff. I would have gladly paid 10 more dollars for a factory hardcase.

This is the Accuracy you have always wanted in a bb pistol but never able to have it. Also I would like to thank Pyramyd I ordered this pistol online on a mid-day Sunday and had it in my hands on Tuesday.

Realistic... and huge ..very BIG.. gets a lot of shots per co2,very accurate cheap, yes cheap, for a gun of this quality they go for $200.00 in canada and thats $198.00 American if ya can find em they are sold out all the time. This one comes with 12 real brass shells the canadian only has 6 shells Thank you Pyramyd Air !!!

Nothing.. I wish other revolvers had this type cylinder ,and they cost a lot more.

The only plastic on this gun that I could find is the sights and they are gun quality plastic very hard.Oh! don't shoot lead balls in this gun the barrel is very tight with steel BB's the lead balls will get stuck in the barrel but if ya do you can punch em out with a rod.

Everything ...This is the most REAL looking AIR GUN EVER and ive got a real .45 revolver to compare it to.Scary to say the least.Don't wave this one around or someone will call the PO-PO in a hurry!!!

I can't see anyone making a more realistic looking AIRGUN it is Massive in size and as accurate as a pellet pistol at 10 meters with touching groups most of the time. Chrony was 418 to 440 FPS after I had Shot 18 rounds before the test Very nice look, feel weight, and balance. I am glad I got one cause when this one catches on its GONE >Look for the limited flag before the backorder, I am sure...
