it likes all kinds and styles of pellets , I LIKE THE RESULTS I GET WITH THE 18K RAPTOR PELLETS and THE CROSMAN SILVER HOLLOW POINTS,, THIS AIR RIFLE CAN STAND UP TO THE BEST OF THEM, GUNS THAT COST 2 or 3 TIMES AS MUCH..its a sleeper, THAT,S MY OPINION...!

Well worth the $140! My first rifle was an old Gamo, but needed something with a little more accuracy for long distance shooting. So i got another GAMO. Great quality/accuracy. This thing shoots as fast as sound travels.

I suggest you change your underwear after shooting this gun for the first time.The recoil is nice at first.

The scope was a bit tough to put on, but i managed. When I did eventually get it to stay, I had some adjusting to do. There's a little black screw on the rear scope mount which helps alot. Therefore no replacement scope is needed unless you have the vision of a bat.

Lightweight, powerful

Scope. The scope that comes with it is a piece of junk. I saw that the gun was made in Spain and after about 25 shots and couldn't even hit an 8 x 11'' target, I saw that the scope was a China product and understood then. I took the good scope off of my 22 and mounted it on the Gamo. 3 shots later, I was zeroed in to a quarter sized bullseye at 30 yds.

Change the scope!

the weight at under six pounds is amazing. Ibt makes it a great hunting rifle. the synthetic stock makes for low maitnence and the POWER! this may sound dumb, but i shot a gamo super point straight through a boot at ten yards. i used the boot to sight in my new scope for close range. the accuracy is amazing also.

I bought a UTG .22 5/8 rail converter and bought new1" mounts for a NEW SCOPE. my scope, when i went to sight it in, shortly after taking it out of the box, the shot was under the cross hairs and I coulnd't go any lower on the scope. My solution was puting a few layers of friction tape on the bottom. Now This Scope Gun combo is great. I still have to adjust the scope after about every 50-100 shots. Also oiling and cleaning it greatly improve the accuracy and power. I try to do this every week.

This rifle was for my son but Dad had to get together and sighted in for him. It is a very nice rifle and very accurate after a break in period. Its not heavy my son is 13 yrs 5'2" and 80 pds and has no problem with this rifle.

Scope and mounts for this combo are good so far but the rifle needs to have more secure grip on it to attach the scope to it. I got it on the gun but I would prefer a better connection with my scope mounts and my gun.

i love the power it feels like a real gun when you hold it i also like the ventalated buttstock you can't ask for a wood stock and a realiable gun at that price but synthetic or whatever is better for a true hunter

the scope sucks it goes crazy if you run with the gun its a little loud but its not me it bothers....

when you buy this all those fancy pointed or balltipp or pba's are dumb go with crosman premier hollowpion ive shot hundreds of squirrels i can feed myself a week from one nights hunting. ps headshot are best for everythin u eat.

Power for the price is good. Good weight (pretty light). Pretty good accuracy. I have only seen a few .177 rifles with better accuracy. A good first gun for older responsible kids and up. Great with different types of ammo. Do Not recommend Gamo Rocket ammo. Rocket ammo has a seam along the skirt that throws off accuracy.

Gun is a little loud when firing. Some king of dampener or silencer would be good. Little more power would be cool, but would probably raise pice. Not much to change.

SCOPE IS FINE. Inside the rear ring is a pin that you can lower into the rail of the gun to PREVENT SCOPE CREEP!!! I see this is the major problem people seem to have with this gun. The pin uses the small hex wrench that is included with the gun. Only reason to get a different scope is if you want the better optics (which of course everybody would love). But as a beginner scope it isn't bad. So use that pin and don't spend money on a scope stop, new scope mount, or new scope!!! Happy shooting!

Generaly I like everything, nothing is realy too bad on this gun.

The frist thing the scope. It may seem like a nice good scope. Not really. It will go off zero after 50 rounds but only by a litte. Also when cocking the rifle it makes a creeking sound. Trigger is not that good. It can be ajusted but not to my preferances.

Get a new scope.

more affordable than the shadow sport. wich is pretty much the same gun but with the shadow1000's stock. its very accurate and powerful. easy to cock. the tactical look is very nice. .

a heavier barrel would be nice.

already have it fully tuned-even better. in stock form it noticeably vibrates and twangs.

The gun has a nice feel to it. A lot of folks say it'd too heavy...I don't think so, maybe they want toy gun.

The scope...first thing I did after mounting it and firing the gun was take it OFF and I put better 4x32 on.

The Gamo Rapture ammo is pretty expensive. Cheaper to fire a 22. I see that folks are hunting rabbits other small game. I find the Raptor pellets bouncing off squirrels at 15 yards. So I would like to know what they are using to kill rabbits. The gun is great for target practice, I find it very accurate. I gave it an over all 4 because of the scope...the gun itself is a 5.

I've tried several pellet/ BB guns, but this has to be the best one i've used... i was able to kill certain things with the crappy 350 fps'ers... but this gun is a killing machine.. Most accurate gun ive seen.. My scope came sighted in :) Pellets fly faster than speed of sound.. making the pellet hit the animal before the sound of the gun itself.. makes it easier to kill jumpy varmints like rabbits.. Well.. It also performs well at shooting targets.. this gun will shoot right through a can w/ out moving it... It can also shoot through 4 cans w/out moving a single one. I was also able to shoot caps off of waterbottles cleanly. Also.. when you shoot glass bottles, they dont shatter.. a fat whole is made with the bottle intact.. :) Much fun... Gold pba makes gun much louder... and funner to use.. Great Buy :)

Gun is so powerful.. it has recoil.. but it doesnt effect the shot :)

I bought this for older kids at the last minute at Xmas when my order for the Benjamin Super Streak was backordered. I am still waiting for the Super Streak (we have Benjamin Blue and Silver streaks for years) but the Big Cat was a nice surprise. VERY loud for the first few shots, which was actually kinda cool. Then it calmed down. Came fairly well sighted in, and later adjusted nicely. Bought some Beeman Trophy and Silver Ace Pellets at my local store, and was very happy with the accuracy. Crow Magnums, great spread on impact. Tried some steel pointed pellets and went through medium thin plywood!

For the price and enjoyment, not much.

Try lots of pellets and have fun...It's surprising just how different it shoots with a varied diet....

Power, accuracy, and value!! Need I say more. My only regret is that I bought it at a retail store (before I found PYRAMYD AIR) ooops!!

For a breakbarrel nothing........I would like to see GAMO get into CO2 or PCP rifles, my collection of gamo guns would sertainly grow !!

BB-Tipped pellets give any airpowered gun great penatration ie; My Big cat shoots through one side of a 55 gal. steel drum, WOW !! was the reaction from fellow airgunners with me at the time, I can only amagine what the Extreme would do ( I guess I'll have to find out !)

Unlike last rev. I read, EXREMLY LIGHGTWEIGHT!! After a resonable break in (ABOUT 100-200 shots) it becomes very well behaved! As said above I like the LIGHT WEIGHT!! Great for easy carry on hunting adventures!! Dependable small game accuraccy to about 30 yrds. Great easy shooting plinker for all day shooting FUN!!!

A better scope. Scope is very clear opticly, but POI. changes! This reason for #4 rating on accuracy. I beileive gun deserves 5 on accuraccy w/ right scope & GRT 111 after market trigger!!

This is a really fun airgun for the $$ Powerfull enough for sq. crows & rabbits all day long at reasonable ranges,, Setting up scopes is a little tricky at best,, Let Pyramids Experts do it for you!! Then when you get your rifle, just shoot & fine tune!! This gun IS FFUUNN!!

Power

Scope is unreliable, gun is WAY too heavy, even for adults, and recoil is ridiculous. Accuracy is non-existant.

You'd be MUCH better off with a single-shot .22 with .22 short, sub-sonic rounds. Much quieter, the gun will be much lighter and MUCH more accurate. This is what we went with after the BIg Cat proved to be a dismal disappointment.

NICE GUN, I OWN A CROSMAN 113 AND THE POWER IS CLOSE TO THE 113.

NOYHING FOR THE MONEY

I DID HAVE SCOPE MOVEMENT THE FIRST 50 ROUNDS.. I WAS AMAZED HOW MUCH THE SCOPE RETIGHTEND AFTER. MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE PADS USED IN LOWER MOUNTS. SHOTS CONSISTENLY QUARTER SIZE PATTERN AT 100 FEET WITH NO MOVEMENT. RAPTOR ROUNDS STINK FOR HITTING POWER..

great gun!! great power and a super nice feel and weight. not to mention its smashing good looks! very fun. if your reading these reviews trying to decide on a gun to buy, well i would say this one is your best bet. comes with a nice scope with smooth zoom feture and solid windage and elevation adjustments. very happy with it!! and im sure you will be to

Sorry all. My scope seems just fine. I used a pumkin for my first target. After a few shots we were hitting near bulls eye from 17 yards (50 feet). We never missed the pumkin. Most shots went clear through and out the back. Great power and accuracy. Have not tried the PBAs yet.

Nice looking, nicely balanced gun. Have been using co2s previously so getting used to the spring thing takes awhile. I get better accuracy out of JBS Predators than PBAs! Gamo Tomahawks work prettty well too.

Pyramid should charge a little more and equip it with a better scope. EVERY reviewer complains about the "free" one, and the gun has no sights if you wanted a choice.

I adjusted the 2nd stage trigger for a very short pull, and this helps this gun alot, I think. Anyhoo, it's a really great deal for the money. Pyramid folks are very nice to deal with.

light, accurate, good looking. this gun packs a serious punch easy to cock nice big barrel. kinda loud but thats cool great value you cant find that kind of power for such a low price. feels like a sniper rifle!

definitely the scope I changed it to a 5-9by 40 the 35 just does not have the range for this gun

the scope will crawl no ifs ands or buts so buy a scope stop
