    Things I liked:

EVERYTHING!! The Fixed Barrel On This Gun Makes It Very Accurate. I Ordered The .22 Caliber Version And Once I Got The Scope Mounted It Took 10 Shots To Have It Zeroed In... I Was Shooting 3/4 Inch Groups with Horrible Pellets At 20 yards. And The Trigger Really Is'nt That Bad.

    Things I would have changed:

The Scope Mount Screws Are HORRIBLE! I Striped Every One By The Time I Had The Scope On The Gun.

    What others should know:

I Replaced The Scope With A 3-9 And Went And Bought Som "Benjamin Diablo Pellets" And Sighted The Scope In With Those... I Shot a 15 Shot group so Small That A Penny Covered All The Holes...Wish I Could Post The Picture

    Things I liked:

i was expecting alot from this gun meaning i already had the .177 cal. model. in a nut shell i like this gun better than the other 5 pellet rifles i have, so well after my first hunt with the .22 cal. i sold all of my other guns. money wise the .177. and the .22 are the same price. my opinion buy the .22 cal. you will not be disapointed.

    Things I would have changed:

things i did change, from experience with the .177 i knew the scope wasnt all that. so i ordered the gamo varmint hunter scope kit for this gun, and it was a good investment.

    What others should know:

gamo rates the gun at 900 fps, but this site rates it at 600 fps. by my velocity checks im getting an average of 842 fps with crosman premiere hollow points. maybe its the gun or maybe my equipment, but it is faster than 600 fps by far.

    Things I liked:

I too, bought this rifle because of the fixed barrel. The scope is,so far, decent. But if something does happen to the scope, I could get by with the great adjustable open sights.

    Things I would have changed:

I will eventually change the trigger.

    What others should know:

A great gun for the money. I have no regrets.

    Things I liked:

smooth lines and shape, weight gives it the feel of a centerfire, bluing perfect, most accurate air rifle I have fired to date, trigger better than my other Gamos

    Things I would have changed:

power a bit on the low side in the .22 cal I received, getting mid to high 500's with 16.2 grn JSB predators

    What others should know:

A diamond in the rough, with a few more dollars for a tune and trigger you will have an air rifle as good as some 500 dollar rifles for less than half that

    Things I liked:

The fixed barrel it what made me decide to buy this gun. I do a lot of rat and crow hunting. This gun with its extreme accuracy has improved my kill ratio tremendously. For the money this is the best air rifle in my opinion you could possibly buy. I like it so well that I have just bought the .22 cal.

    Things I would have changed:

    The scope could be better.

    What others should know:

The most accurate pellet I have found for this gun has been the Crosman Destroyer(1/2" patterns at 25 yds), but for stopping power I have found the Gamo Pro Magnum to be the best(3/4" patterns at 25 yds). Still enough accuracy to get the job done.

    Things I liked:

I liked the underlever. The acuracy is excellent with the Gamo hunter, at 25-30 yards a 5 shot group was one ragged hole. Love the heft of the rifle. Like the synthetic stock, it dont show scratch's as much as the wood stocks.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope, it works, still using it, but will eventually get a different one. The trigger, has a bit of creep to it. I shot about 50 shots thru it with the stock trigger, then installed an aftermarket one, did a world of good for it.

    What others should know:

This rifle is a danged good shooter, the cocking is relatively easy, VERY accurate. I shot a tree rat, afterwards I pace it out @ 51 paces, I am 6'2", and long legged, so not for sure about the yards, I figure about 50. One shot, one kill. I love this gun!!!!!

    Things I liked:

This is a solid, durable gun for the money. I found the factory trigger to be a little jumpy therefore I think a trigger upgrade is a necessity. . The scope that comes with it is ok for backyard stuff . I love the construction of the gun, has nice weight to it.

    Things I would have changed:

I upgraded the trigger to the GRT III and let me tell you, it's a whole new gun with it. Accuracy is "dead" on! Wildlife in my yard does not have a prayer. From 30 yards, I can keep it within an 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. I upgraded the scope to a 4x9/40 and that makes a huge difference. I shot my friend's Diana 350 Mag and I thing the Gamo is a much better value.

    What others should know:

Under the scope on the rail, the hole gets pretty beat up from the kick and Gamo should really do something about that.

    Things I liked:

Almost everything. The .177 does reach the 1000 fps mark at the muzzle. Chrono proofed. Now I have about 1000 rounds through it and the chrono is averaging at 983fps. Accuracy rivals RWS rifles I've shot for a bit less money.

    Things I would have changed:

The standard 4x to a 4x12 right out of the box would make this a great value. A true adjustable trigger. The pull I've got on mine is about 6lbs. Just a bit heavy, though I'm still grouping half inch rounds at 30 yards.

    What others should know:

When I was looking for a rifle one of the requirements was it had to be fixed barrel. This thing is greatly accurate right out of the box. The breech was a bit tight early on but smoothed out. When mounting the scope you will nedd to pay attention to the rings and be certain to install the ring stop at the rear. This prevents the scope from jumping rearward, and it will. You need look no further. This is a great plinker, target and hunting rifle.

    Things I liked:

.22 caliber, synthetic stock, price, accuracy, looks, feel and quality.

    Things I would have changed:

rear sight is junk, won't matter if you scope it. loading port is a little tough, has to be a better way. Gamos parts ordering rules are a joke, they want you to have an FFl or go through one for spare parts. its a pellet gun guys. could use more power, you can never have to much.

    What others should know:

you can not beat this rifle for the price. I have not had the chance to shoot any other more expensive spring rifles before, but I can't beleive they would shoot any better than this rifle. I don't think I am a great shot, but I made some metal target about the size of a crow and can hit them with no problem at 50yds with out holding over or adjusting for elevation. the only mod I made was the trigger (GRTlll) and added a 3x9 scope. I bought a tuning kit, but it will sit in a drawer until this rifle requies an overhaul. This is rifle may be heavy to some if you dont shot a real rifle.

    Things I liked:

my .22 cal was packaged very well however since this is my second gamo i toss'd the 4x aside and mounted my bug buster 6x compact after about 5 mins i was hitting pretty good at 30 measured yards about quarter sized groups im using the beeman silver bear hi impact may try another weight had some fliers but kinda windy today ill try on a calm day and see the results

    Things I would have changed:

i probaly wouldnt change anything from the factory i plan to have it tuned and grt111 trigger put on but thats just my taste overall it is a very good air rifle

    What others should know:

now what your buying if your gonna hunt get this 22 before you cant trigger is not perfect but either get used to it or get it worked but if you dont have good shooting techique all the triggers in the world aint gonna help!

    Things I liked:

.22 calibre, accuracy and power. but most is the price. i've seen this quoted for way higher other places. the weight, it feels like a real centerfire, fixed barrel and the underlever concept of a gamo, and the rotary laoding system so bad either.

    Things I would have changed:

the muzzle break- a solid peice would be nice,

    What others should know:

awesome rifle, you can't compare any other to this rifle base on performance and price. with sharp tip pellets, it flies through the 1/2" ply-wood. gamo does not sale .22 cal on there website anymore in the USA so get this now for it might not last long. its even better after a good tune job and trigger work done.

    Things I would have changed:

Loading port fitment. plastic lever latch assembly, TRIGGER!!!!!

    What others should know:

Unless you use the PBA this baby will NOT hitting 1000fps. Chrony Confirmed. Diesels for the first 500+ shots. Loading port could use a some quality control. It's half decent in accuracy, but the HEAVY trigger holds it back. A great plinker. Not a FT setup for sure. I suggest a tune and a GTX or other after market trigger.

Made well, lots of power, once you get the scope zeroed in it is quite accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

A little heavy would make it lighter if possible, change it from a single shot to multiple shots.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

I tried two different guns, the first drove my scope mount (individual rings) into the rear rubber protector. Fearing that I had damaged the gun, I returned it. The second gun had several explosions like a 22 fireing which caused the groupings to fall apart badly. I never was able to site the gun in, even using three different scopes. The first gun shot very accurately. I liked that a lot.

    Things I would have changed:

The gun is very heavy to pack around all day. The vibration from fireing was excessive to me, however I have never shot a spring action gun with this much power. The trigger on both guns was excessively heavy. Very difficult to hold the gun on target while pulling so hard on the trigger.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air was extremely helpful and made the exchange and return very painless. Perhaps a more expensive gun will meet my needs better.

    Things I liked:

This is my first adult air rifle so I don't have any kind of reference point to compare it to. I have the .22 version. I do know that this gun is fun to shoot, and is plenty accurate. I thought the rifle was quite heavy before I got used to it, and that was before I mounted the scope! This is not a lightweight, and it takes some muscle to cock, so I wouldn't recommend it for youngstersor weaklings! One does get used to the weight, and the cocking effort, though. Most reviews of the CFX combo say bad things about the 4x32 scope that is included...but for 20 bucks extra it seems OK to me-it gets me on target. Resting the rifle barrel on a support, and using the open sights or the scope, it's easy to shoot cleanly thru empty soup cans at 90 ft using RWS Superdomes. And the heavier Beeman Silver Arrows really make a mess of those soup cans! Probably after I've put several tins of pellets thru the gun the scope will need re-sighting, but for now I've no complaints about it.

    Things I would have changed:

Even tho I've not used other air rifles to compare the CFX to, I will have to agree that the trigger is bad news. I'm told it will eventually get better after several 1000 shots(!), or it can be replaced with a better aftermarket trigger.

    What others should know:

There are loads of reviews of the CFX rifle online, and 95% of these are favorable. This was a major factor in my deciding to choose the CFX over several other air rifles. At this time, I feel that I made a good decision.

    Things I liked:

Very accurate...mine likes crow magnum pellets at 840 fps in .177. Rich from Mich did an amazing tune job - now it's way quieter and the trigger is the best! I like shooting this better than my RWS 350 Magnum - this seems even more accurate and easier to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock scope is cheap - I mounted a Tasco Golden Antler 3-9X and it seems like a great fit for this gun. Rich sells a different muzzle brake that shortens the gun overall...I recommend that for this gun.

    What others should know:

This gun, especially with a tune is really one of the best deals out there! I've tried lots of ammo's but it likes crow mags the best. Crosman Premier Lights are lighter but shoot slower! The manufacturer exaggerates the velocity numbers - but that is a common problem with air guns unfortunately. I started with a Crosman Quest but returned it after trigger problems. What a HUGE step up this gun is! It's not very hold sensative...it just shoots great no matter what!

    Things I liked:

THe gun has awesome power that has dropped every squerril that has been infront of its crosshairs and not only has it dropped them but it buts a mid weight .22 pellets straight through them every time. There isno doubt that this is the best airgun i have ever owned and having used it i see no reason to buy one of the overly expensive upper end guns.

    Things I would have changed:

If oyu leave the gun for a day or so it takes a LITTLE bit for force to open the reech on the first shot but other than that thegun is perfect and has served me flawlessly.

    What others should know:

That there is not a better deal anywhere in airguns, this gun will but down rabbits, squerrils, any type of bird, and i am sure a groud hog from a reasonable range with a good pellet. It is flat out smokin hot in terms of velocity and accuracy (easily under an inch from a shaky rest at 25 yards) and shear killing power in the field.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Devastatingly powerful, especially in .22 (I have both versions now). 0.5" five shot 25 yard groups with every pellet I put through it save Beeman Silver Ace and Gamo Raptor, but that is no surprise to me. The scope rail is also well thought out, plus long enough that it allows removal for modification, which I did by removing it, then drilling a second scope stop hole so that I could anchor BOTH rings of my B-Square 10039 scope rings, which have vertical scope stop pins. All the better to stop that ring skid.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is a bit rough and stiff, but to get it significantly better straight from Gamo would likely raise the price into the range that it would hurt sales of this great bargain. I adapted to it pretty well, plus I solved the problem permanently with CharlieDaTuna's stupendous GRT-III aftermarket trigger on my .177, and I will probably get around to adding one to my new .22. The scope rings are second rate, lacking the four needed per ring clamp to prevent slippage. The scope itself is also a bit of a disappointment, being a non AO, which the photos on hear led me to believe. Okay, though, as I was intending to replace it anyway, which I did using a Centerpoint 3-9x40 AO.

    What others should know:

The loading routine is really not that tough, just as long as you make sure you mount your scope in such a way as not to interfere with the loading port. Just use the back side of your index fingernail to push the pellets flush. The .22 version of this rifle is also considerably easier to load.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy is very good for this price-range...or any price range actually...easy to make 3/8" groupings of 5 shots at 25 yards with a little better scope. Underlever is nice, so the barrell geometry doesnt change each time in relation to the scope.

    Things I would have changed:

Rotary breach is a PITA, but acceptable....you get used to it after several shots. I wish you could NOT fire this thing if the breach is open, resulting in a dry fire...it's easy to forget to close the breach.

    What others should know:

MUCH better deal than the Crosman Quest .22 I had to return due to defects. More powerful, more accurate, better looking gun etc. I love it

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

This is a fairly quiet gun. The cocking mechanism is easy. Mounting scope was a snap; like the built in scope stop. Accurate out of box. Able to repeat .75 inch groupings at 25yds with no trouble. Seems well made and able to withstand some use.

    Things I would have changed:

The breech loading system take a little getting use to, but seems more dependent on the pellet for good seating. A smoother, less effort trigger would be great. This one might work better with a few more tins through it.

    What others should know:

This is a big gun, suited for adults only. I don't think it reaches 900 fps, but certainly has enough punch for squirrels and other small varmints. It seems to like the BEEMAN .22 Silver Sting pointed pellets much more than the JSB .22 Predator Ultra Shock. You really have to seat the JSB's . Larger fingers might have some trouble with the breech loading port.
