    The look

    Things I would have changed:

The blowback...it takes all the energy away from the gun!

    What others should know:

Dont get this gun...I cant believe that a pro in the Gamo ad says he uses this gun to practice...really he must have a ton of CO2, and like ten magazines all ready loaded! lol very weak gun...the FPS feel like it's 250...hahaha

    Things I liked:

The feel of the gun is cool...and I had great expectations...because a famous shooter on the gamo web site said he uses it for practice and trigger control so i thought this would be a good buy...i also bought extra mags at the same time but were out of stock...more on that story later I also bought the Crosman 2240 at the same time...and that gun blow this one away and it's less money!

    Things I would have changed:

Weak Weak Weak gun...it no way shoots 430 fps...more like 300 or maybe less im serious..the blowback system sucks all the energy of the Co2...and if you want to shoot it fast forget about it...the speed goes down even more...I was so dissapointed I sent it back for a full refund..btw there is a significant stocking fee that brings the price down alot..like 20 bucks..I only shot it like 20 times..because it was that bad...

    What others should know:

Make sure you know what you want when you buy stuff...because if you dont...you dont get a full refund...with the shipping and the stocking fee...that return is going to cost you!!! Believe me...and it takes a long long time to get that money back...so buyer be aware...Once you buy the gun the price goes down...it's just like a car...hahaha

Feels like the real thing. Alot of fun on the backyard "plinking range",very realistic for in between trips to the range.

    Things I would have changed:

    Package it with 2 mags

    Things I liked:

Very solid feel with substantial weight and balance. Easy to load clip which clicks firmly into place and drops out at the touch of the button. Mechanics very smooth. Easy to load CO2. Good two stage feel to trigger in S/A and smoother than most in D/A. Accurate with 1.00" groups at 7 meters S/A 2.00" groups at 10 meters S/A.

    Things I would have changed:

Rear sight needs to be adjustable to really dial this pistol in. You must cover target with front sight (combat sights?)as it comes out of the box. Include a second magazine with pistol.

    What others should know:

Safety is on right side making a bit difficult for right handed shooters and spring safety release really requires two hands. Very solid pistol for the price. Makes practicing between visits to the range lots of fun.

    Things I liked:

The size and feel is just like the real thing! I love mine for target shooting in my yard. The dual sided mag makes reloads a snap and fast. I get about 60-70 shots per CO2.

    Things I would have changed:

    Adjustable sights

    What others should know:

Gets cold quickly with rapid shooting.

    Things I liked:

My first Gamo product in my collection of 11 CO2 pistols, and I am really impressed with the high quality of this gun. Excellent weight to it that makes it feel like a REAL firearm. It's blowback is nice but not quite as strong as that of my WONDERFUL Beretta PX 4 Storm. Lots of metal in it's construction. Beautiful high velocity as well. I like the way the double ended magazine clicks into placeand that way you know it's locked, unlike the similar mag in my PX 4.

    Things I would have changed:

Perhaps the size of the pellet holes in the magazine. It seems to be pernickity about what type or make of pellets you use. Many fit way too tightly, and might damage the gun and cause silly misfires.

    What others should know:

Another really high quality pistol that is manufacured for Gamo in Japan. I plan on buying other Gamo pistols in future.

    Things I liked:

the quality of the pistol is very nice. no rough edges or imperfections. when the saftey engages its very positive and wont disengage by simply pushing it up, nice feature for small children. shot count is somewhere in the 70-80 range depends on the temp. The magazines will drop free pretty fast seems to be sprind loaded, just be ready to catch the mag. trigger pull is awesome in single action double action is nice. you can drop the hammer and put it back in double action. accurate with just about any pellet at plinking range.

    Things I would have changed:

sigths should be adjustable. The gamo P-80 has windage adjustable rear sights. i just think it would be nice to really dial in the gun. The scope mound should from the tactical version should be an aftermarket accessory for this gun. can see it benifiting from a small red dot.

    What others should know:

get extra mags, alot of pellets, and alot of co2. you will want more. recomend getting a swinging target too. best range i found for this pistol is about 20 or so feet

This is a great gun for the money. I really like the sights and blowback action. Its very accurate and i like the feel of it when shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

I think gamo should mak a different air pistol that has the same features but does eat co2 like crazy. I am getting 64 shots (4 mags) per co2 cartridge

    What others should know:

I would recommend this gun although if you get it start stocking up on co2.

    Things I liked:

Nice gun. Decent trigger pull, not too hard to pull when shooting double action. Will shoot approximately 4 clips (16 rounds a clip) per CO2 cartridge. I am getting between 60 to 70 shots. Power falls off mainly after the 60 shot. Cheaper to shoot than a real firearm but still has some of the realism. Doesn't disturb my neighbors. No more noise than someone hammering nails.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs adjustable sights. Mine shoots low and to left. (shooting at 25 feet from target) I filed the front sight some to bring it up and have to compensate for shooting to the left.

    What others should know:

Extra clips aren't available at this time. At least I haven't found them. Gamo on-line has them listed but no way to purchase.

    Things I liked:

My first semi auto pistol. Lots of fun to shoot. Good weight and feel. I use it to practice for my glock which is very simular. weight and feel

    Things I would have changed:

I thought the double action was a little rough on the first shot and caused me to pull it off line some. After the first shot the single action was much better

    What others should know:

I thought the handle where the CO2 cartrige goes was a little loose fitting and could be a little more secure

    Things I liked:

Price was a good value, feels and looks solid, blowback is cool, 16 round pellet mag, 450 fps is good velocity for a air pistol.

    Things I would have changed:

The safety is a little difficult to operate, more velocity is always good,

    What others should know:

Poly. tip pellets or long pellets dont work in the pt 85. The clip wont revolve.

    Things I liked:

Blowback Weight & balance Single/Double Action Simple concealed CO2 cartridge piercing screw design Decocking safety Full year warranty

    Things I would have changed:

Have the rotary magazine clip advance when the gun is cocked, not when the trigger is pulled. Redesign the stiff safety latch for easier operation. Add an adjustable fiber optic rear sight. Add magnets to the magazine to hold BBs like the Beretta PX4 Storm. Add a last shot hold-open feature. (Probably not doable with a rotary clip.)

    What others should know:

If the under-barrel accessory rail isn’t needed, the Gamo P-25 is the same gun at a lower price. The rifled steel barrel is recessed about a half inch from the muzzle end of the plastic barrel sleeve, so its effective length is only 4.5 inches instead of the specified 5 inches. Spare magazines are now listed on the Gamo USA website but there is no price or ordering information available as yet.

    Things I liked:

The Gamo PT-85 has a great look and feel. It's metal construction with blowback feature really gives you a "real gun feel". It's really great for a trainer for those people that would like to fire a real gun. Although the blowback is moderate, it gives them an idea what to expect.

    Things I would have changed:

I really like both my PT-85 and PT-25.

    What others should know:

Becareful of the pellets that you use. Cheap pellets get jammed! The best pellets to use as far as I am concerned is the Crossman Pointed Pellets. They are machined well and are "clean". If you use a pellet that is too long, the clip rotor will noty turn correctly! Great gun and fun!

    Things I liked:

This piece is fun to shoot! I also have a Crosman C11 and an H&K USP, and this gun is more accurate and more fun than either of those. It's a little heavy, but fits nicely in the hands. Accuracy is adequate. CO2 is very easy to load.

    Things I would have changed:

Extra magazines should be available. They should design a way to make the round rotating parts of the magazine pop in and out so you could buy multiples and just pop them in and out of the steel part as you need.

    What others should know:

This is a great gun. So far, I've only tried it with RWS Diabolo Basic pellets which work great.

    Things I liked:

I love this pistol, it feels like a real pistol and the blowback adds to the realism. The trigger pull is nice and crisp after the second stage is set. I work for law inforcement and shooting this pistol keeps my hand eye co-ordination for my qualification test.

    Things I would have changed:

Ajustable sights, because my pistol shoots about an inch to the left at 15 yards.

What can I say, this is a great gun. Very realistic, nice weight and grip. very accurate out of the box and the 16 pellet clip is great, drops out like a real clip. Pyramid Air is top notch, placed the order on Sunday and had it in my hand Wendsday

    Things I would have changed:

    Not a thing

    What others should know:

Do your home work before buying. I researched every brand and model and the Gamo 85 stood out over the rest.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy. Yes. It is accurate from a distance of 15 feet (the safest distance that I can get inside my house) with a grouping of one inch. The rifled steel barrel is the most important thing to accuracy...nothing beats rifled barrel compared to smooth barrelled BBs.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Except that I can't buy extra magazines because there is no extra magazines being offered for sale. I hope that manufacturer, Gamo, would manufacture Gamo PT-85 magazines. I will probably buy five of these...enough for a load of one CO2 cartridge (including the one that came with the pistol). It is also better if the manufacturer has the real pistol name on the gun itself, Gamo just secondary (like Beretta FX4, Walther CP99, etc.).

    What others should know:

I used RWS Professional and Premium pellets which added to the accuracy of the pistol.

Its a simple gun, 3 mags (48 pellet) before it looses drastically power.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing really

    What others should know:

Its made in Japan for Gamo, so if you are buying this gun you are getting your money back in quality.

    Things I liked:

The Gamo PT-85 feels good in one's hand, it's accuracy depends on the shooters experience, but is consistant.

    Things I would have changed:

Extra magazines aren't available. The magazines look like those used in the Beretta PX4, but neither are interchangable. The finish is rough and poor quality.

    What others should know:

The blow back action is very good.
