Easy to use, easy to scope, light weight, and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing.

    What others should know:

I have ben looking at this one for quite some time. I had another Co2 airgun before this one and was not happy with the performance of Co2. After reading review after review I finaly went ahead and got the Hammerle 850 AirMgnum. This gun I can't put down, I make me want to just keep shooting. It is pellet hungry. It makes great use of Co2. I was happily surprized to see how much metal is use on the rifle. Get this rifle, you will be happy you did.

    Things I liked:

Hits like a hammer in .22 bolt action is smooth. Accuracy this riffle can put pellet on top of pellet @ 30 yards and probably further. Great for Mr. squirrel. A huge amount of mods capable.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

Youre not going to get get 180-200 shots per airsource as advertised. But you wont care once you start shooting this thing, pure joy.

    Things I liked:

After owning spring guns and being fustrated with not being able to be consistantly accurate with them it left me wanting something different. The start up price of PCP put that option way out of reach for me so I looked at CO2. After a lot of research i zeroed on the 850. I couldn't be happier. I pulled it out of the box, poped in an airsource tank and with open sights i was hitting small tomatoes at 40 yards(using rangefinder). I was like a kid in a candy store. I couldn't get a scope on this thing fast enough. Now I've put close to 1000 rounds through it and can hit acorns at forty yards consistantly!!!!!! It is exactly what i wanted!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing major. foam fill the stock?? Nothing that couldn't be done at home.

    What others should know:

If you are Looking at this rifle and are on the fence about it go to www.the850store.com and check out all the mods for this gun. The possibilities are endless. From that site you can link to a forum that is dedicated to this gun. If you purchase this gun do yourself a favor and get at least one tin of JSB Exact Jumbo RS 13.43 Grains. One hole 8 shot groups at 30 yards with these. Crosman Premiers also group pretty good but hang up when chambering(common problem). Not that big of a deal you just have to rotate the clip a little by hand to center the pellet. Most load fine though. Get the 9oz adapter from www.bryanandac.com so you can use a 9oz paintball tank. this adapter is made for this gun and will pay for itself from saving on the 88g tanks.

Accurate, powerful and well made multi -shot co2 rifle. Nicely balanced, with a handsome stock and an excellent trigger.

    Things I would have changed:

Fill the hollow butt of this rifle!

    What others should know:

I don't believe you could do better with any other co2 rifle in it's class!

    Things I liked:

Power, not real loud, .22 cal, 8 shot mag, bolt action, molded in scope rail, 88 gm power source co2, an adult rifle for the rightie or leftie but bolt only on right.

    Things I would have changed:

Make an nickle or stainless version with laminated stock.

    What others should know:

Only thing likes to be bolted fast n hard after first lining up mag n fisrt pellet. Shooting dommed pellets in the 13/14 gm shoots good, tryed the air arms falcons good price for 500 in a tin. 250 in a tin will not last long with this baby.

    Things I liked:

Superb accuracy. I didnt order the combo, i like the leapers 4-16x50 scope, so thats what i put on the gun. Very smooth bolt mechanism. Powerful for a co2 gun. Fit and finish are first rate. Love the way the safety works.

    Things I would have changed:

Could use a little more weight in the butt area, to make it more well balanced. And of course what everybody else says make it able to remove the 88 gr. co2 cylinder without losing the gas. Other than these MINOR flaws a great air gun.

    What others should know:

Powerful enough for rabbits and squirells to about 25 yrds. If you want a magnum powered air gun look elseware, but if you want a superbly accurate gun for target and plinking you wont be disappointed. BUY IT YOULL LIKE IT!!!

    Things I liked:

Everything that has been written about power, accuracy, and quallity is 100% true. I bought it in 22 cal and put a RWS 6 x 42 scope on it and cant be hapier. Quality of gun is unbelieable and accuracy is superbe hole on hole. Trigger pull out of the box is the best I have experienced. Purchase at pyramid air was perfict and price could not be beat. Great gun in all respects.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    Things I liked:

Good shooting gun, really reacts to different pellets. Installed a Millitt 4 x 16 x 30 on mine might be too heavy and bulky, but works ok, like it for the hand turents. Not loud at all my 2240 is louder. Trigger very crisp, I like the factory setting, but will mess with later on. Bought this gun instead of Air Force falcon, live in the city I heard they are loud, single shot. I also like the German quality, not to say US does not make good guns.

    Things I would have changed:

Optional safety this is an adult gun with all the features of a real gun, some shooters do not like that, I don't. All forums take about 850 needen a tune, once you get used to the way it works no problmo.

    What others should know:

Need to take it easy with 1st mag ease the bolt, turn the mag, till bolts up, to get started. Once you do this fast bolting of the bolt is what it-mine likes. Pellets my 850 likes dommed Falcons think they are 13.43gm., have not tried others yet , hard to put this gun down only bought 2 extra mags need MORE.. Made my 88gm bottle a refillable one as is my 1077as bought connections @ Bryan and Acc. plus a 9 ozer with adapter (but you can not use forend once install 9 oz bottle) I also refill with a 20 ozer really need a 20# bottle. For now 88 gm refillables work fine.

    Things I liked:

ACCURACY...So far I can get consistent 3/8" groups at 25 yards with a 3-9x50 scope using H&H Field Target Trophy pellets...Smooth and fairly crisp trigger pull...Overall a very high quality bolt action repeating rifle..

    Things I would have changed:

    Availablity of hardwood stock...

    What others should know:

I have tried all the Crosman Premiers including the 625 ct. box along with Beeman Crows and Kodiaks with mixed results up to 1 1/2" groups at 25 yards...Check around for various ways to bulk feed the 850 or even refill the 88 gram cartridges which only adds to the shooting pleasure...

    Things I liked:

Bolt-action (it's nearly impossible to find a bolt-action pellet gun for this price), accuracy, QUIET, quality

    Things I would have changed:

Like others have said, the hollow stock isn't too impressive, but it is necessary because even with the hollow stock, this thing is pretty heavy for shooting without a bench/bi-pod.

    What others should know:

The combo I purchased: Hammerli 850, centerpoint adventure class 3-9x40 scope, leapers one-piece scope mount, UTG barrel-mounted bipod, and the compensator. After covering the holes in the compensator with gaffers tape, this thing is the quietest gun I've ever shot. it's quieter than my gas-powered airsoft pistols as well as any of the other pellet guns/pistols I've shot. I live in a suburban property and I'm pretty sure my neighbors aren't even aware I have this thing when I do some quick shooting in my backyard. The hammerli 850 is still pretty powerful (especially for a CO2 gun) so I still make sure I shoot safely, but this thing will not cause any disturbances for my neighbors which is something I was worried about. Overall, fantastic purchase and with JSB jumbo exact pellets and some CO2, still under $450. Neat

    Things I liked:

1-Very accurate. 2-Very flexible. I can use 88 gram AirSource. I can get an adaptor & use 2x12 gram CO2 with no change to the rifle. Modifying the rifle opens up even more options. 3-I can't measure power, but my .22 strikes the target hard.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd like a way to turn off the pressure on the seals, without losing CO2.

This gun was very amazing. When I first took it out of the box i was like... this is a hell of a gun.... I fired it and it had a good crisp trigger and the accuracy was outstanding. You don't really need a scope to it but I would recommend you get one for this gun.

    Things I liked:

bolt action 8 shots, good feel, very accurate after 50 or so rounds,

    Things I would have changed:

a way to cut off the Co2 88 gram bottle or remove it without loosing the co2. don't like leaving it pressurized, and the cost of co2 88 gram bottles warrant a cut off valve IMO.

    What others should know:

had this rifle now for 1 year, shot about 800 rounds through it with no problems, very few jamming problems. no way to bleed co2 off gun when not in use except unscrewing 88 gram bottle and loosing that bottle.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

The 850 has a good feel to it, the butt is a bit light but this does not affect the hold or shooting. I like the 88 gm CO2, it has lasted about two weeks ( on the rifle) with me firing about 50 rounds a day. The bolt action works well though I would have perferred a semi auto action. The sights work well even with by bifocals. Crisp trigger pull. I shoot indoors and the noise is not an issue. Tight groups at 10 meters as promised. Packing of riflle and accessories was excellent with the rifle coming in a form fitting styrofoam box

    Things I would have changed:

Instructions on the best way to clean the rifle. Two cylinders. The cost of the 12 gm converter is excessive.

    What others should know:

Buy extra cylinders to keep you shooting instead of loading.

    Things I liked:

Recently purchased the Hammerli 850 Airmagnum in .177 caliber from Pyramyd Air. Very fast shipping, packaged well; it arrived in excellent condition in the factory box which has a molded foam insert for protection. The rifle operates very smoothly and is exceptionally accurate in my opinion (easily achieves 1/2" five shot groups at 30 yards using .177 Crosman Premier Hollowpoints, and just slightly larger groups with Gamo Hunters), using just a plain old 4x32mm airgun scope for sighting. The trigger on mine breaks at a nice pull weight of less than two pounds with very little creep. I purchased two extra magazines, and Pyramyd accidentally missed them in the first shipped package; I emailed them and they shipped them promptly via express UPS. I would have been pleased enough waiting as the rifle comes with an extra mag, but Pyramyd went to the expense of super quick shipping to correct the error, and that is excellent customer service.

    Things I would have changed:

Up the power a tad. I was able to achieve just over 800 fps with 7.6 grain .177 caliber pellets in my 850 by merely substituting a slightly heavier hammer spring. Gas consumption goes up, but the gun gets the energy it is capable of and still gets well over one hundred shots per 88 gram cylinder.

    What others should know:

If you'd like an accurate multishot airgun but don't want to spend a mint on a PCP rifle yet, this is the one. Be very gentle with the four screws holding the action cover on, they will strip quite easily, requiring a tap and longer screws for repair. Don't panic if you mess up, it's easily repairable, just aggravating.

i converted mine to run off of 9oz paintball and have never looked back...with a few mods like stronger hammer spring and spacer and a little better gas flow im getting 13fpe on a 80deg.day with 10grain ammo.lots of mods if you get bored but i doubt you ever will.im thinking of going hpa with this gun in the future but its a blast with co2 as is.my 850 loves anything above 8grains..will shoot 8 shots in 1/2bull at 25yds.if your on the fence just hit the button..you wont regret it.i have a leapers 3x9x50 setup on mine and love it.if i want to thread the needle i use this gun.oh mine is .177cal...take care.
